Funny how i think this new rookie movie fight was the best one yet. They were mature, passionate without screaming at eachother, they listend without interupting, knowledgable and overall was a very watchable and very entertaining... please bring all of them back

After months of watching Movies Fights on my sunday unwind I have realized that the the comment section is always filled with whiny, egotistical and salty viewers. Seriously every week its "this ______ arguer was terrible!!!!" "this person deserved to win!!!! WTF? Screen junkies!!!" or "worst episode ever!!!!" I got bad news Screen Junkies, you will never please the majority of your fan base it seems. Sure the show is flawed in ways but obviously its in growing pains but I would like to see somebody do it better. This show is literally a matter of opinions and all these keyboard warriors think they have the best in the world. Keep on Screen Junkies! I'll be here every Sunday

Ed, Edd, and Eddy gritty reboot. The kids all grown up in their 20s, everyone has left the cul-de-sac. Double Dee is a chemist, Eddy is a used car saleman, and Ed is an absolute junkie. eddy ends up getting fired and is desperately seeking money. He comes across Ed in an alley, smoking crystal meth. He tells Eddy that he is poor, but Eddy gets an idea, he sees the potential of money that they can earn. He goes to Double Dee to help produce the meth, but He says no. A couple days later, DD finds out he has cancer. He agrees to help his friends in order to pay for his treatment. We see DD transform from a nice, nerdy fellow into the King of the Cul-de-Sac. Breaking Ed.

I'm a ecologist and I JUST spoke to a climate scientist colleague about Captain Planet yesterday. Climate change is at a very dark place right now and we're trending toward a fairly bleak future for a great deal of wildlife and marine habitats. It's vital to reach children to educate them about what we've done wrong to the planet and what they need to do differently. Not only could a reboot reach children, it could reignite the environmental passion so many of us had instilled in us by the original show. +10 points to Matt Raub.

Everything he did after Independence Day is trash? I Am Legend, Pursuit of Happyness, Shark Tale, Ali, Hitch, I Robot. Although he hasn't had a good movie since 2008, his filmography is pretty good.

This is by far one of my favorite "Movie Fights" episode yet. Having Marc, Steve, and Matt was a great choice. These guys are very knowledgeable, passionate, and extremely FUNNY! But also, much love for the all the regulars, previous "fighters" and Screen Junkies crew. Keep it up.

Don't invite Steve back. He's annoying, he's whiny, he talks constantly and interrupts constantly. Marc Andreyko is terrific. Make him a regular. He's consistently funny. The guy next to Andy keeps trying to win arguments with dumb semantics, and NO ONE wants that bullshit.

Seriously loved this episode, everyone was so funny and didn't take it *too* seriously, which I like. I want them all back again!

Imagine in the premiere of Suicide Squad, Heath Ledger showed up in his Joker costume and yelled, "Hello, Gotham! Joker's back in town!" and does his insane laugh.

I think that Captain Planet should've won that round. Matt said that It would be a perfect movie for a gritty reboot because that show was telling you: "save the planet" "don't pollute" on such an "upbeat" mode, and now, look at our planet... global warming, weird climatic phenomenons... It's like: "No one listened". And that argument got lost on the "fight".

This show is just consistently fantastic guys. It's a wonderful formula that entertains regardless of whom you have on the panel. Keep up the great work.

Marc Andreyko is GREAT. The lines he comes out with are hilarious, and he knows so much about films. He is film-smart, has a wise approach with his arguments, and really funny at the same time. Bring. Him. Back. They were all good, to be honest; bring them all back, but Marc... The dude had me rooting for him, surprised me with some good arguments, and had me falling off of my chair cackling with laughter.

Dan Murrell has really grown on me. He seems like a really cool guy. Marc, on the other hand, is SO disagreeable. He just shits on people.

I look forward to next week's episode, but this one was difficult for me to watch. Thank you for all of your hard work to make these each week. While I wasn't a fan of the three competitors interacting with one another, my only suggestion would be to check the audio or better advise everyone on how close they should be to the microphone

Wow. The answers for "Bring back a film star from the dead" were really disappointing. I agree that it would be wonderful if Heath Ledger was still with us, but I'm surprised everyone stuck to relatively modern actors. Think of what it'd be like if Vincent Price or Peter Lorre or Lon Chaney Sr. came back from the dead. They could remind Hollywood and audiences what acting is supposed to be like.

Marc Andreyko was fantastic, loved that he pulled off the win at LITERALLY the last second! Also it was hilarious when Dan looked straight into the DanCam and said "Will you just give us a MINUTE?" Great episode guys, maybe your best yet!!!

Feels like steve got robbed. Fifth element was the better answer and that last minute flip flop was bull. At most he should of gave it a tie. Either way steve actually won.

Everyone was great bring them all back because I want to see them interact with the other regulars/new comers. I really like the format of the show and it keeps improving while still maintaining the authenticity of a bunch of people talking about things they love.

I would love to see a reboot or continuation of Disneys Gargoyles this was a brilliant show and was already quite gritty for a kids show

I watch you guys always and I'm looking forward every Sunday for MF. I never skip. But I agree with other comments about this panel - they were annoying, boring and didn't take it seriously with constant stupid jokes and immature comments. So for the first time I stopped watching during second fight. Waste of time and irritating. I hope next week the show will be back to it's usual STANDARD. Guy next to Andy was bullied by other two. Next one's voice was indeed annoying (maybe of he had something smart to say). Bold one was bold. As many other viewers said: please don't invite them again. Bring all crowd back or some interesting guests like Comic Book 19 and that other girl with cool accent.

Okay, for Round 5's question, "Which movie star would you bring back from the dead?", I believe there was a huge missed opportunity here. The person I would have chosen for this fight would have been Bruce Lee. The man was not only an incredible martial artist and action star, but he was a very wise man as well. I believe this world missed out on at least one more decade of Bruce Lee in cinema. Not only that, but the idea of a possible Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, and Jet Lee crossover event would have been more epic than all of the Expendables combined.

holly crap guys!! This fight was hilarious!

I like trying new people, but I think this episode suffered from one thing - it was too serious and pretentious. Movie Fights is at its best when the "fights" are fun and light hearted. I think that's why people like Nick Mundy - he's fun! There were some elements in the Will Smith fight, but overall the fun factor was flat.

I don't think I'll ever understand why people think Independence Day was a legitimately good film. It was enjoyable/fun at times but it was so stupid and I felt it was more "so bad it's good" than just good. Of course, this is just my opinion but still..

Talk about a game changer, an iconoclast, and a globally beloved superstar who just broke into the big Hollywood game with the monumental Enter the Dragon (possibly the most important martial arts action film of all time) only to die before we got to see him exercise his talent as well as his cutting edge philosophy on martial arts, self-expression, and life itself!

With the new Age of Ultron trailer coming out, Which movie do you think is going to be better: Avengers Age of Ultron or Star Wars Episode 7?

I didn't grow up with these shows, since I'm much younger than they are. All the kids' shows I have fond memories of are too recent to warrant a reboot. How about Ben 10 reboot? Wait, they're actually making that?! Oh never mind it's being made with the same tone and style as Omniverse. As far as I'm concerned the series ended with Ultimate Alien. It ended with the most high-stakes story arc in the franchise's history, making it a fitting end for it. Sure, the quality had been going downhill but it was still worth watching. The series had been growing with its audience, and became more dark and mature after the time skip. I guess that must have caused toy sales to drop, because eventually, they put an end to it. Next you know, we have Omniverse. It doesn't just eliminate all the maturity the series had gained; it was even more childish than the original series. The art style is somewhat inferior, and the story quality is drastically so. It was just an awful show. Then when they did cancel it, they said they were ending the whole Ben 10 series (which at that point was probably the best thing to do)...only to reboot it only a year or two later making sure to repeat all the mistakes of Omniverse (based on what we know so far). What a fall from glory. What about Code Lyoko? Well, they tried that too, with Code Lyoko: Evolution, although it's a contiuation, not a reboot (which is usually better). It brought some cool new ideas to the table, and was actually on par with the original. However, they made a few big mistakes. First of all, live-action. This isn't inherently bad, but it can be hard to pull off. The actors only vaguely resemble their characters, although as you watch the show, you start feeling like they aren't that far off after all. Live-action contrasts a lot with the CGI visuals of Lyoko, which hasn't really changed, save for a slight quality upgrade. Compare this to the original's seamless blend of CGI and traditional 2D animation. For this reason, I think the series should stay away from live-action, unless they get a Hollywood-sized budget that allows them to create Lyoko with much more realistic CGI and motion capture for the actors, which would get rid of the extreme contrast between the two worlds. Also, they made no effort to introduce new people to the series, even though it had been years since the original, so their fanbase was very limited. The show just assumes you've seen the original, and so it doesn't bother explaining the basics. This probably alienated new viewers. Also, although this might seem like a nitpick, I was really disappointed that they changed the opening theme. Rather than use the phenomenal "A World Without Danger", they went with some generic instrumental theme. The result: a show that was cancelled on a cliffhanger after only one season, and never made it overseas to English-speaking countries (an important amount of viewers). It's a shame since, as I said, the show itself was quite good. What if they rebooted Avatar (The Last Airbender). Well first of all, they tried by making a live-action theatrical adaptation of season one, but it sucked. It failed on so many levels, but I guess hiring M. Night Shyamalan to direct was probably where they went wrong. Then again, he's the one who decided to make this movie in the first place, so I guess it was doomed from the start. Also, Avatar is such a perfect show that it'd be almost impossible to improve, so why bother making a reboot. There's also The Legend of Korra, which is a continuation of sorts, although it didn't really interest me all that much. Besides, Amon's cause was way too justified for me to think of him as the bad guy.

Very good freshman panel. They all grew on me as the show progressed, though Marc does often come across as snooty and condescending. But SHAME! on Andy for that last call. I agree with picking Jason Robards, but he CLEARLY gave the point to Steve 1:11:15, then backed off and gave it to Marc. Once a point (and the game) is awarded, he should not back off again, least of all out of fear of backlash (here being "ageist"). It under-mines the whole show's premise. Andy clearly owed Steve a quick re-invite. Matt also because he's very funny and good-natured about the whole thing.

I always thought it would be cool if Captain Planet became jaded and took all the rings from those stupid kids and wore them all on one hand... like his own Infinity Gauntlet. That way he could constantly exist and not have to be called upon. "The Power is MINE!!!"

Citizen Kane. How could... I mean it's so obvious! There's no fight against that one, it would have been like when Marc picked Alien's tagline. No fight at all.

As far as the 1st fight is concerned, I agree with Matt's argument. Now, I have not seen the gritty Power/Rangers fan short (nor do I WANT to), so I can't make a fair judgement on that front. However, I'm a HUGE Power Rangers fan, always was, always will be. That being said, I agree with both Matt and Jason David Frank when they say that this fan short shouldn't be a Saban-approved thing. Why? Because while, yes, there is a growing adult fan base for the Power Rangers franchise, the majority of the fans are KIDS. And that's because Power Rangers, to this day, is seen in mainstream America as a KID'S SHOW. If I had kids, I would NOT take them to a dark, gritty, hard-R rated Power Rangers movie with drugs, swearing, gun violence, or any of that because that's not how I would want my kids to see the Power Rangers. Just my opinion.

Hands down the best panel youve had on movie fights. They made good arguments, and respected each others opinions. It was a civil discussion. We need more of this. So many of your recurring "fighters" are just awful. I wouldnt mind seeing these three go at it every single week.

i am 24 and grew up with the power rangers with every version of each new show all the way back to the original how in the hell does this 30 something year old claim he never grew up with it? it is another thing to say that he just did not get it or become a fan of it but to dismiss as if he had no idea what it really was about because of his age is ridiculous.

I really dont get the hate on zaragoza, I think he was amazing!... Being passionate about your choices is what this show is all about, and he also knew when he had lost to some very good choices... I think Marc won fair and square but zaragoza should definitly come back... This was one of the best shows in a long time (Not hating tho, I love the show) There where some great choices for each round, and we got really passionate and DIFFERENT panelist which is a great change. Lets mix this new guys with some of the classic pannelist and we'll get an amazing show... Keep it going in this direction guys!
