Friday Night Funkin' is an open-source rhythm game released on Newgrounds in 2020.The game is developed by a small group called The Funkin' Crew Inc., which consists of Cameron "ninjamuffin99" Taylor, David "PhantomArcade" Brown, Isaac "Kawai Sprite" Garcia, and evilsk8r. The game shares some gameplay features with Dance Dance Revolution and PaRappa the Rapper and borrows aesthetic influences from Flash games. The game has been credited with driving users back to Newgrounds, a site whose popularity peaked in the early 2000s.
The game revolves around the player character, Boyfriend, who must defeat a variety of opponents in singing and rapping contests in order to continue dating his love interest, Girlfriend. Gameplay involves hitting notes with timed inputs while avoiding running out of health for the duration of the song.
The game was initially created for the Ludum Dare 47 game jam on October 5, 2020.An expanded demo was released on November 1, 2020, with updates continually released in the following months. A full version of the game backed by Kickstarter, titled Friday Night Funkin': The Full Ass Game, is in development.

I'm going with Sonic Legacy 100%. There are already mods like Vs. Sonic.EXE Restored, and it gets repetitive seeing it over and over again, you know? I am still excited flr the upcoming update to Restoration, I just think that Legacy looks a lot cooler. And, the whole fakeout was so cool and well made in Legacy. So, Legacy is my favorite

Sonic Legacy 100% Unlike Vs Sonic.EXE, the exe in Legacy isn’t a sore loser when he is confronted with failure, and also is actually scary! The birds trying to escape while being tied by their OWN INTESTINES is gruesome and horrific! Better yet, it feels like he has some sense of control, being able to change the mod completely on command, as if he disguised himself as a normal Sonic mod to lure you in! The way he also stares at you and claims that this is getting boring for him just sends a chill down my spine Two, the background for the second phase is CRAZY. You can visibly see the fire cackling and the smoke rising into the air, the Mutelated carcasses of both Knuckles and Robotnik just mounted in sharpened wooden spikes really makes you visualize their skulls being cracked open as they were mounted on to them! And the red glow around the edges of the screen and the long note trails becoming wavy, really looks like its really hot! You can feel the tension and the emotion in this mod, and the trick title it put on was beyond clever! I am looking forward to Sonic Legacy, and cannot wait to see how it surprises me next.

I mean, quite obviously Rodent Rap, since theres alot of creativity of a sonic.exe mod not using the same composition of songs, like too slow, ycr, trip trub, etc. I like that they do their own thing, and also make alot of the mod being just sonic in general, which, has alot of potential. what if they made half the mod being a happy sonic mod, and then halfway through, he switches, and then sonic.exe happens? It could be the next big mod, like Marios madness, imposter, voiid chronicles, (and eventually pibby apocalypse) you know? It shows talent, potential, and everything needed to make a demo show basically what to expect in a good mod. (The menu in Sonic Legacy is also really good.

I plan on doing more comparisons of the two if I can find some other things in both mods in the next few days but if not I’ll probs wait until the mod is fully out, and I might do a comparison with RERUN when that’s out too

I still find it amazing that the voice for Lord X or 2011 X madzilla perfectly replicated the capital from the final fantasy series into an actual laugh that sounds more sinister.

I’m definitely gonna go for legacy, The songs are original and amazing as hell, the mod doesn’t feel repetitive like every other sonic.exe mod and the fake out was amazing and unexpected out of the others. Hell, someone even made fanmade lyrics for Obituary (the second part of the second song) and they sound goddamn awesome. Out of all the Sonic.exe mods out there, that one is the one that got my interests up

Fun Fact - Xeno was gonna be in Sonic Legacy, but was scrapped. If he was in there, instead of being MY5TCrimson X with the ability to crystalize, the version that would have been featured would be his canon version (aka the one with the human form, fully made by Astranomicon).

Well, it's because legacy disguises itself as a normal sonic mod which TRICKED PEOPLE INTO THINKING IT WAS A NORMAL ONE UNTIL IT TURNED INTO EXE, and not just a fake out in song, ngl legacy BEATS the Vs EXE mod by a THOUSAND MILES.. but that's just my opinion on it so yeah. If you like encore. It's alright, nobody is stopping you from liking what you like.

Both are the same because both are made by the same devs of sonic.exe mod, Sonic Legacy is just the OFFICAL revival of the sonic.exe mod and the restored one is just people who are a fan of the mod trying to restore it

Vs Sonic.Exe has a lot of cool ass content, but Sonic Legacy/RodenTrap takes the cake as the winner here. This is for not only having a fucking banger of a song with SICK VISUALS and amazing vocals(seriously it has LYRICS at one point, that’s not common with FNF songs), but also going so far into the commitment of its fake out to the point the FILES seem normal up until you get to the reveal! Hell, the mod is able to detect if you’re using BOTPLAY or not, and changes the ending Accordingly! How many mods of ANY kind of game do ALL of that?!?!?! Also keep in mind something…Sonic Legacy/RodenTrap is just in its DEMO PHASE…AND ITS SUPPOSED TO BE AN OFFICIAL REVIVAL OF THE SONIC.EXE FNF MOD! Who knows what the final product will contain!?!?!??

legacy 100 watermelon cats the jumpscare is just like in a normal sonic.exe mod. He just stares at you for a while (maybe after killing tails knuckles or so on) then a message pops up, I just think thats a cool touch.

The uekewa inspired art and the adventure esque music makes sonic legacy the winner in my opinion. Sonic.exe 3.0 just feels a bit repetetive. Legacy feels like a fresh start.

The legacy s sonic.exe is the 2011 remake while xenophanes s litteraly just fnf s take on the original 2011. Also legacy will have 2017 X which might be the redezign for the 2017 pc port s Lord X

both are equally good in my opinion, just that one mod got cancelled really sucks. anyways legacy is cool, and its fun for the fact its the same dev who work on the original, i can pretty much say its like a semi-reboot that actually has it own thing than repeating the same thing over and over again 👍 but i do wish they re-booted the Original tho would've been good but meh, Legacy has that potential
