Thanks for the videos Pete! I went out and played 9 this weekend using tips from this series previous videos. Totaled 16 putts compared to about 22 before over 9 holes. Working on this over the winter with undoubtedly help me shoot much lower. Pick my Putter

Good video! I just did mine. I am starting a challenge for myself. In golf, I struggle with eye dominance. I hit a baseball left handed. So, I am switching sides. I just feel more comfortable on the left hand side. More confident over the ball, and less second guessing at address. Should be fun...!

I enjoy using my Spider Platinum Tour putter. Awesome stuff!!! Works far better for me than any blade putter or other mallet putters have.

I really enjoyed this series , thanks Peter and Karl. Not too many things to focus on, just a few gems to work on over the winter. Loved the comment about just enjoying the act of putting. Also, as someone who does not thump it miles, putting is the one area where physical prowess or swing speed means nothing, meaning that with some solid practice on our putting, we can claw a few shots back off the guys standing 50-70 yards nearer the green on their approach shots.

Just wanna share this .. dunno where I got it from but I was a good putter from distance but missed far too many short puts .. 4 or 5 feet and less ... then someone simply said .. grip the putter less hard .. relax the hands .. My God what a difference ! .. Immediately stopped missing 2 to 3 footers and started holing more 5 to 6 footers .. instant difference .. try it !

My first putter came with my first set of used clubs. My second putter (first individually bought) I picked because it cost $30 and had a big alignment aide. Before picking my current putter I watched everything I found on KZfaq on swing path (straight back and forth, slight arc, big arc), head weight, balanced weight, MOI, face balancing, shaft offset, grip size, and shaft length. Over the next 2 months I went to 3 golf stores, multiple times, and tried EVERY brand and EVERY style of EVERY putter they had. I took notes on how easy it was to line up, how consistently I could control distance, how close my actual hit was to intended line, feel and cost. I eliminated all the putters I didn't like, and some I really liked but were too expensive. Then I went back and tried the remaining contenders until I had a final list of 3 ranked 1, 2 and 3. I would have been happy with, and believe I would have played better with, any of the finalists. The first one I found on a good sale I bought and still use. And I do putt better.

I'm a new subscriber Pete and enjoyed the video. I agree with you on larger pitter grips as I feel it takes the wrists out of play and makes you use your upper body and arms for the putt.

I'm sure you won't read this as it's years on from this realeasing. If you do though, by chance. I changed the story and now ask myself what can I do to get this in the hole. Somehow, I have turned my putting around. I couldn't be happier. If I could just learn to drive the ball now. I might even be a half decent player you know. Big thanks Pete, and to your guest.

I've been using a carbite mallet putter since early 2000's. I want to try a newer style mallet putter, but the one I have is so good. I don't want to blow money on a new one just to go back to my old one. I've done it before lol

Pick My Putter - Spent a lot of time testing different putters and have decided on the TM Silver Spider rather than the red. Just couldn't miss and the best balanced putter I have ever used.

Coming from a younger amateur who’s been playing golf for 8 years (started at 21) don’t buy putters online that you haven’t actually used. I had hammy down clubs my first 4 years playing. Then as I got better I started buying better clubs with regular lie/loft/length with out actually getting fitted for them. Having better/more expensive clubs will only help some. Once I got to a point where I was shooting under 80 consistently the last 2 years I committed to getting fitted. It makes a huge difference for someone that strikes the ball well. I wasted a lot of money on clubs & putters that weren’t even close to what I needed. *Don’t buy expensive clubs/putters with out getting fitted.* One example: I bought a new TaylorMade 10.5 regular flex Rocketballz (stage 1)Driver a year after it came out on eBay. I used it for 5 years & was only hitting it around 235-240 on average (people think they hit it further than they actually do). This year I saved the money to get fitted for a new driver & I wasn’t even close to what I thought or should’ve been using. After the fitting I got a TaylorMade Sim Max 6.5gram stiff flex 9 degree driver, now I’m carrying the ball 245-250 & rolling out to 265-275. That’s a good 35 yard difference from my old driver. If you’re going to spend the money on golf always get fitted first.

Hi Peter, I just watch this video, talking about putting, I used to have 3 putts for my 30 years golf games, and I keep change my putter. I understand my situation. As everytime I putt I always ground my putter, and once I lift up my putter, I always move. Please tell me should I ground my putter or anyway to keep my putter more steady. Thanks William
