The rebels have the best armour, it’s called plot armour.

Ewoks are obviously the best infantry since they can kill Stormtroopers in 1 hit with a rock.

Infantry strengths: Stormtroopers: overwhelming firepower Droids: unrelenting assaults Rebels: mobile and adaptable Clones: anything you can do, I can do better

It was kind of unfair for the seppies. Their tactics focused on overwhelming the enemy with insane amounts of troops, rather then smaller amounts of better troops.

Of course the clones are the best, they warn you about wrist rockets.

The Stormtroopers are only bad in the movies because the main characters have plot armor. In the deeper lore, they are much better.

Stormtroopers are accurate so long as they are just shooting at an extra

One thing to consider about the storm troopers is that a lot of their misses can be chopped up to failing to hit the heroes, who need to survive. And if they happen to be force sensitive they can just kind of tell the Blaster bolt to miss. As far as a fighting force goes they’re well trained, heavily protected enough that some downed storm troopers just need to be rescued, and they’re infamously accurate in universe. It’s just hard to shoot a Jedi

The CIS Battle Droids are the best because they can say “Roger Roger” without sounding stupid.

Jedi:wears a coat and killed in 5-6 shots Stormtrooper: wears full armor and gets killed with 1 shot

People tend to forget that Stormtroopers beat the Rebels in the battle of Tantive IV even though the rebels had better positioning and the stormtroopers had to enter through a choke point one or two troopers at a time whilst having all the rebels pointing their guns at them.

Haven't even watched the video yet, but there's no way it isn't the Clones.

I think droids should be number 2. One thing that makes them compleatly different is that droids were manufactured and in a very fast pase so you dont really have to worry about losses as long as your manufacturing is covered. They didnt have to be better than their enemy if they simply overwhelmed them. And you have to remember they fought the number 1 a very long time so the republic didnt have an easy victory.

Personal opinion: the clones. Reason: better training, better armor, and better equipment.

Isn't it funny that clone troopers basically went through their rebellious teenage phase right around the time Order 66 was handed down lol?

I think the battle droids have a big advantage in the fact that they can follow the orders of their general so well, in fact, better than any other unit mentioned above. I'd also imagine they have much better accuracy for they all use a standardized blaster which's recoil pattern is embedded in their code thus making it easier for them to control it. I'd also imagine their aim tracking and accounting for bullet speed is far superior to any of the above-mentioned forces due to being able to digitally calculate it in a matter of milliseconds. Their mechanical reflexes are also probably much better than those of any living soldier. They also have no sense of fear of death making them much more fearless. They also can continue fighting after sustaining minor yet painful injuries that will disable a living soldier(ex: a shot to the leg will get a clone out of the battle due to pain but the droid can continue fighting as long as he can move it the same). The only droid's real weakness is their inferior blasters, vulnerability to EMPs, and not having as smart of a tactical command droid. In my opinion, the droids are above the rebels.

Storm troopers are very underrated. They’re made fun of for their “bad aim.” But they were actually pretty good units, and are decently elite. If you’ve watched generation tech, they have better aim than any other troops in real life. Hail the empire, and long live the emperor.

I would think the early clone Stormtroopers would be the best. They have the training of a clone with the gear of the Empire.

The clones have the ultimate advantage: they are brothers. They all care about each other and they are all a family.

Clone troopers can actually hit their target. And they don't have to turn their blasters in for inspection.

In terms of deployment,republic seems to be the quickest.

Great video. I feel tho that the rebels have so much variety in their pool of skilled persons. Like a rebel trooper could have been "recruited" from an experienced pirate crew or have been Dave from down the road.

FOR THE REPUBLIC WATCH THOSE WRIST ROCKETS

It has to be the Republic. Their infantry were literally bred for combat, and they excelled. The Empire, though just regular people, is a close second. That is solely because they were regularly trained like an actual army. Plus, if you ignore the pop culture version of the Empire, they had the best standing army at the time. The CIS had weak droids at the beginning in the B1, but that was fixed in the B2. Also, they had extremely large numbers and the fact that they were programmed for combat helps. The Rebels were space terrorists. Every unit had its own organization, recruitment, and training because there was no set standardization across their military. That is why rebel forces routinely lost to imperial ground forces. So, my order would be, from best to worst, Republic, Empire, CIS, and Rebels.

I liked the clone troopers armor they were color coded and looked sharp. The storm troopers armor was bulky and the rebels gear looked like the guys who go camping in someones back yard and half their gear came from a yard sale.

I like to think the separatists could have easily implemented an upgraded, really good, hunter-killer AI into every battledroid essentially turning them into terminators. They just need to upgrade armor and probably movement (although they appear to traverse pretty fast). B1's look highly modular as well.

Another factor seperating the clones from the others is that their genetics are those of perfect wariors. If a clone were to go to the imperial academy he would be better than almost any of the other troopers there because of his genetics. For example, clones cannot experience physical stress. They also fight alongside the jedi, giving them new and creative ideas of how to win a battle. So yeah, I too think the clones were the best of these.

1:11 In my opnion, the reason why the imperial walkers were so boxy compared to at-te at-rt bla bla bla, was because the republic went for functionality and shape, the empire, meanwhile, went for more of a intimadation tactic, a full size at-at firing lasers at me would certainly scare me, much less a Incom Snowspeeder, who is racing TOWARDS it.

Rebels would be in last. CIS would take their place, and that's because, while the droids are stupid, they are durable and semi accurate.

I agree with your opinion, the clones were bred from birth to be killing machines. Their armor was very good and weaponry was also very good. Also with the Empire, the reason that they aren't very precise with the main characters is because of plot armor. Other than that, the stormtroopers of the empire were quite good. All in all, I agree with your opinion

You know what would also be interesting? Comparing indidual units (or whole armies) of Star Wars in terms of a cost- benefit calculation, if that's even possible. I have the feeling that the battle droid wouldn't be so bad as it much cheaper and faster to produce one than to train a soldier or even genetically engenieer one. And if a clone trooper actually costs as much ressource as, I don't know, 20 battle droids, the droids might actually be the better pick.

Great list and well thought out. It seems the rebel troops are comparable to the pockets of resistance fighters in Europe during WWII. Not as well trained, equipped, supported as German troops but had more skin in the game. Fighting to liberate their homes and protect families, loved ones, etc seemed to give people more of a reason to fight. That’s what came to mind when comparing the rebels and empire forces.

I think the B-2 battle droids would be more suitable for the trooper category. (I say this purely because the galactic battleground game had that has the base trooper of the confederacy)

The reasons the Empire is ranked so low as compared to the Republic is because the Republic was meant for total war for an undefined period of time whereas the Imperial army was meant more for peace keeping before the Galactic Civil War. Their vehicles were meant more to inspire fear in and subjugate local populations rather than to wage total war. If the Empire had been ready and aware for total war against the Rebels they would have been much better prepared.

I think the Confederacy rly makes up with A LOT of specialized vehicles, they have the best armour out of all 4 Besides, the Confederacy also used other droids, like B2 which were devastating for clones, if there were no Jedi around to help

I'm sorry Eck, but I must disagree. You only bring up the B1, but like you said they were just meant to be canon fodder. What about the heavier and more effective B2? And they also have the most versatile vehicles in Star Wars. Ranging from the Dwarf Spider Droid to the Hailfire Droid, not to mention that they also used organic fighters to lead the droids in many battles. I'm not saying they are the best (that is definitely the Clones) but I think they deserved at least the number 2 spot. Remember: they managed to hold the Republic back for 3 years including 10,000 Jedi!
