Whipple Tree Analysis and Fabrication

5 ай бұрынFor testing the Truss Style Nose Rib for the UWS-4 Ultralight airplane, a Whipple Tree is to be used. A Whipple Tree spreads a single load into multiple individual loads. The design of the Whipple Tree allows the individual loads to be customized for the item being load tested.
This video covers the analysis to design a Whipple Tree and then the fabrication of a Whipple Tree.

Really great analysis for the above average home builder. It would be great if you could do mathematical structural analysis for wooden aircraft, and for the wing section from the root to the wing struts. Also one for wire braced biplane wings
