Don't buy this washer. I have had nothing but trouble and getting someone to come repair it is a nightmare!

@@mamahen7147 I just bought one two months ago and today all the lights went out when I started the clean washer cycle and the pump kept running with no water in the tank. I had to unplug it. Very disappointed.

Martha Patchin right after I posted this my washer totally quit working. I had purchased the repair which I have never done before. I tried calling Lowes to have it seen about. After 3 weeks of not getting anyone to answer the phone I went to see the manager and let them know how pissed I was. Come to find out they have a back number to the repair department. They sent someone out the next week. The technician let me know the whole computer board was gone. I had to go back to Lowe's and purchase a new one but not a Whirlpool ! I got a Maytag so far I like it, along with the service agreement. I did get some of my money back from the first washer. After researching the Whirlpool washer it had the worst ratings any everyone had the same problems as I did. When I was at Lowe's getting my new washer, a lady was in line and she had a washer and having the exact same problems I did. I said let me guess a Whirlpool! She was like "yes" how did you know! I told her I had the same and I told her what to do. They gave her the number to call the service dept. I interrupted the salesman and told him to call them for her on the back line so she could get help. I told him the number he gave her did not work and she would never get through. He looked pissed with me. I told her my experience with the service dept phone number and that Lowe's could call for her right in front of him! They make washers to last a year now. I had mine exactly a year!

Martha Patchin there is a way to recalibrate it. I did mine several times. It would fill with water and not do anything in the wash cycle. This video was helpful. The service guy was a little shocked I knew what to do to recalibrate it! I asked him if her ever heard of YT !!!! He got me to recalibrate it in front of him. He was wow you are right! Good luck on your washer. I can't go without mine because my son is in a wheelchair and it is not easy taking him to the laundry mat with baskets of clothes and him.

I'm going back to the one My grandmother used to use that you used to roll out the clothes in the roller! I've been through five washers in the past 18 years unbelievable and it's just me! In fact I'm going to go buy a salad spinner that's what I'm going to start using! ✌️✌️🤟

I agree! I bought this washer in 2014 not knowing agitator washers were no longer available. This is the biggest piece of junk I've ever had to live with. Unfortunately it's still working 8 years later. But I think I could do a better job with a washboard

Good Question? I'm not sure. Once you get it on "SPIN" and push the "START/PAUSE" button does the RED "LOCKED" light come on at all before it says "DONE"? If not you may need a new lid lock. If your lid lock isn't working, from my understanding, you also wouldn't be able to do a load of laundry.

@@freeindeed9508 Followed your instructions, and confirmed that the Red "Locked" light does blink, but when I ran the Diagnostic Test for the Fault/Error Codes it did show the Lid Lock as the issue. Now I'm no repair person nor am I mechanically inclined, but I did slide a plastic butter knife into the lid, where the lid locks and kept jiggling it until the washer clicked and magically started "Senseing". I am currently sitting next to the washer and it is completing the Normal Wash Cycle. I'm guessing I'll have to replace the Lid Lock and/or Lid Switch.

Found some Information for you, have a wonderful day. IMPORTANT: Rinse option must be selected to 1 Rinse with Softener or 2 Rinses with Softener to ensure proper distribution at correct time in cycle. Do not overfill or dilute. Adding Liquid Fabric Softener Manually to Wash Load During the final rinse, wait until the washer has completed filling, press the START/Pause button to pause the washer. Lift the lid and add the measured recommended amount of liquid fabric softener. Do not use more than the recommended amount. Close the lid and press the START/Pause button again to start the washer.

Add fabric softener after you buy a new machine.

No.....U got to buy the downy ball or else u have to pour in the fabric softener during the rinse cycle

Get a Speed Queen!

Yeah, this is the worst washing machine I've ever had. I bought it unknowingly in 2014 when I bought a new house. Unbeknownst to me agitator type washers were no longer available. This piece of junk barely gets the clothes wet most of the time, when it spins it's always out of balance. Sometimes if my clothes are really dirty from working Outdoors I'll have to scrub them in the wash basin first before putting them in this piece of junk. Too late now so I just keep using it but if it ever breaks I'm going back to the old style if I can find one. It's been 8 years and it's still working I'm not sure that's a good thing or not!

One time, I ended up canceling the load, unplugged my machine for five minutes to kind of reset the control unit, then it ran fine. You can also check to see if the red Locked light is coming on. If you visit my KZfaq channel, I have other videos of this machine that may help. Like where to find the SERVICE MANUAL, CALIBRATION MODE, HUB REPLACEMENT, and other things I have had to do to fix some problems I have run into. Hope this helps, have a good day.

Possibly a faulty LID LOCK. This manual says it may need to be cleaned or replaced. It is hard to read without zoom or magnifying, it is the service manual that I took pictures of. Looks like your electronic board is damaged. Run the test/diagnostic mode and check for failure codes.

Unplugged it waited for a bit went thru the reset steps with the dial .did the lid up an down .lites came on now I’m all good thanks for the information..I did all this after I plugged it Bk in.Unbalanced load is what thru it off.
