i immediatly knew the 1st shot. i call it the alien brain hemmorage. i make it all the time for halloween parties. she needed to spoon the bailies on top not pour it. that lets the curacao and grenadine pull it through the schnapps on the way to the bottom. also use peppermint schnapps instead of peach.

Also, I think using peach liqueur instead of schnapps might have affected it too, since liqueur is usually sweetened and denser, it mixes instantly with the syrup and the baileys, instead of sinking on something higher proof like a schnapps

You know I think Brianna was boomed a bit by the production on the first and last drinks. Which if anyone want to make at home, chill your ingredients till they almost freeze, that way the brain won't mix so readily and that way the iceball won't melt so fast from curacao.

I think the height of the pour also hurt the outcome. Pouring down/onto a barspoon could potentially salvage it (preventing excessive mixing is important here)

The ingredients don’t need to be chilled at all really, it was the choice of glassware and the height of the pour with the baileys that curdled the a-b-h. Pouring from low down or onto the back of a spoon held to the edge of the glass will keep it looking pretty. But having your drinks chilled never hurts

The Alien brain is just a change to an old shot I used to make in the 90s called a brain hemorrhage. You have to use a spoon to float the Baileys so it floats on top of the peach schnapps. It needs to be in a shot glass and then a few like 2-3 drops of grenadine which is heavier then the baileys and drops through it to achieve the look without curdling.

I just made this at home and used bourbon specifically since it’s sweet as well as gives me notes of honey to keep the drink leaning into the sweet honey direction. Very good drink, though I think I’d prefer it over cubed ice. I think it’s pretty much a strawberry Kentucky mule.

The little “nubbin” on the ball of ice is called a “sprue”. In general, a sprue is the little excess material that is left behind in the channel of a mold.

God bless her. She tries so hard. I've got tears in my eyes. Both from laughing and cringing at the same time. A lot of those gastro drinks are dependant on the very specifics of how it's made. Substituting or improvising will not always yield same results.

Coworker brothers of mine used to make that Jaritos one but theu poured out the drink, did the spicy rimming on the bottle, and mixed the drink with Mango pieces and Silver Tequila, not Whisky, and poured it back into the jaritos bottle after. It was actually delicious
