White Guy Speaks Perfect Chinese in Boba Shop, Befriends Everyone!

4 жыл бұрынI just got out of quarantine in Washington, D.C. and decided to take my mom out for a mother-son day. I’m not familiar with the Chinese restaurants in DC, so we went out exploring. She tried boba for the first time ever, and I took her to get her nails done. We also had a bunch of great chats with locals in Chinese. It’s always fun to see people’s reactions to seeing a white guy speaking fluent Chinese. My mandarin’s pretty good, and I’m working on Cantonese, so I’ll be testing that out next time as well! Filmed on my GoPro Max 360 camera, which was a lot of fun to play around with.

@@josealbertosierrarosales2962 depende de a quien le preguntes, a los Asiáticos para ellos es el Español latino y para nosotros el de ellos (Coreano, Chino, Japones, Indonesio, Etc) soy idiomas muy diferentes, el Español latino se mezclo con el inglés, portugués, francés e italiano (entre otros mas) x eso es mucho más complicado

"Excelente"... Pocas veces uso esa palabra para calificar un video, pero esta vez me nace del corazón decirlo. Por dos cosas.. 1ra. La cámara que permite verla reacción y acción de las personas en tiempo real del suceso. 2da. Cuando ocurre la conexión y entendimiento de dos personas de mundos distintos (es un decir), superando la barrera del lenguaje, de pronto se reconocen iguales y cercanos como nunca se imaginaron. Simplemente asombroso..

You and your mother are just plain wonderful! As a young man I knew a family that lived near me that spoke Spanish, they were from Puerto Rico. The man from that family took me under his wing. As a teenager without a living father this was very important for me and helped strengthen my self-esteem. That man always made me feel like I was the most important person in the world at a time when I was in a lot of pain. I was always welcome at their home. I think about them often. To this day I am thankful for that family for teaching me to enjoy and love life again. Seeing you and your mom together for brought back those memories.

No, solo hay distintas formas de escribir pero es solo un idioma, aunque hay dialectos distintos claro.

Digo todo, el chino más común es el "Simplificado"简体中文(Utilizado en China) y el "Tradiccional"繁體中文(Usado en Taiwan Y otros lugares que no me acuerdo),Y dentro del país se habla idiomas que se dice en nombre de mandarin Pero son diferente,pero todo se escribe "igual"(Porque el Simplificado y tradicional hay unas diferencia entre palabras)

No sabemos si es atracción, pero sí que tienen curiosidad de que sepa hablar su idioma. Y los chinls suelen estar abiertos a experiencias con extranjeros, como los demás. Así que quién sabe, puede ser que se pongan calientes no por su físico sino porque es un extranjero fácil de conocer, sin barreras lingüísticas. Saludos

I was born in Beijing and came to Australia when I was 3. Grew up in a strict/traditional Beijing household and visited every year as a kid so have maintained a native Beijing accent whilst sporting a thick Aussie accent. I'd say that your accent is 95% there. It's just here and there, there'd be tones that sound a tiny bit off and can't pin point it. But bloody amazing for someone who only started learning later in life. Haven't seen anyone come this close since Dashan but I reckon you can get there. Keep it up and keep spreading the positive energy!
