CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Gloria (Rosie Perez) gets very upset when Billy (Woody Harrelson) brings her a glass of water to quench her thirst and they discuss their issues.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Ron Shelton (Bull Durham) wrote and directed the basketball-oriented seriocomedy White Men Can't Jump. Woody Harrelson plays Billy Hoyle, a white con artist who hustles basketball games with black players, lulling his victims into the misguided notion that white men can't match up with black hoopsters. One of his victims, African-American Sidney Deane (Wesley Snipes), becomes Hoyle's "agent," arranging his various inner city scams. Deane doesn't feel as though he's selling out his own people; he goes along with Hoyle to provide a better life for his wife, Rhonda (Tyra Ferrell), and son. The film breezes through several zany sequences, including one liberal-baiting satirical moment set at a black/white "solidarity" basketball game arranged by an ambitious politician. Crooked gamblers intrude upon the last scenes of the film, but Hoyle is rescued by his girlfriend, Gloria (Rosie Perez), a Jeopardy freak who realizes a lifelong dream by winning big on the Alex Trebek-hosted game show.

He actually wasn’t being considerate at all. He was trying to be a fixer. She didn’t need him to fix anything. What he could’ve said is I understand how you feel is there anything I can do for you? And she would’ve told him. Being considerate, doesn’t mean doing physical things for people. it means considering what the person is actually saying.

@@junaldinho100 And the funny thing is that the "experts" can't seem to find better men/women and can't seem to keep a stable relationship. It's almost as if the experts actually know nothing on being a good partner, because half of the time I see those "experts" they're whining about their partner not being pixie perfect for them, when it's pretty clear their being even worse then their partner, and their self awareness is 0.

Wouldn't generalize. Everyone's got a problem, but yeah females are more emotional than males on a scientific point, however emotionally strong women won't give you a specific issue as to arguing about stupid things. It all depends on the type person you're dealing with and how they precieve the world around them. Just don't expect perfection out of anyone.

Watch White Men Can't Jump. When Gloria (Rosie Perez) says she's thirsty, Billy (Woody Harrelson) brings her a glass of water. Then she complains that what she really wanted was sympathy. 😂

And throughout the movie, he was the one who let his pride get in the way, and he lost all that money. And then, in the end he lost her, and he was all alone. Best reply ever and not emotional at all. He’s so smart and brilliant and everybody that watches this movie gets the point completely. It’s not like they’re missing the points or anything

Difficult for no reason then gets upset when she gets dealt with. Would’ve left her over that. It’s amazing how a woman can be with a man and want him to change into her idea of a man (which is always the beta male), instead of the the man she fell in love with. That’s why women have a bad relationship or no relationship. She was terrible all through the movie. Knows he gambles and hustles and leaves him for doing it. She’s useless and not to mention he got her on jeopardy which was her dream, listen to the part when they do the intros all she’d ever done was be a disco queen and he elevated her and she still leaves him. Selfish, greedy, useless and disrespectful woman. Too bad so many are like that today. The Bible’s right a good woman is worth more than rubies and he that finds a wife finds a great thing

Dude exactly! These days it seems like a lot of women come out of the same mold. Finding one that stands out and loves you for who you are is hard to find.
