I'm a fan of Whitechapel and honestly this is one of my favourite songs of them. The great rusty feel of the guitars, the awesome clear singing, plus I like how the video is shot.

I was just talking to a guy at work about this band. White Chapel's new album, Kin has helped me get through a really tough year. Old, new, I don't care so long as they keep being themselves I will forever respect their music, and it will always be my guilty pleasure! 10/10, The lyrics in this song explains how much I HATE the Metal/Rock community as a whole, it’s honestly nothing but bitching and complaining about who’s the “truest of the true” or “the bigger better guy” and people thinking that they’re better than other people just because of the music they listen to / “this is what we have become a self absorbed population of scum” great song, I personally am a fan of more than one genre, yes I like metal but my head isn’t so far up my ass that I don’t bother to listen to other genres like Rock/Punk/Hip hop (anything really) Seriously If I don’t listen to any rock bands or switch up my favourite music genres I will straight up lose my sanity. The elitists and “people who listen to nothing but metal” will call me a poser but IDGAF I’m my own person and I don’t need to keep an image.

I've have a deep respect for their talent to produce beautiful and soulful music. I can even sing their songs in acoustic version. Unlike other bands where their songs cannot be sung by clean singing, but can only be sung by growling.

Got the new album around 10 o'clock the night before it came out because I preordered it and I must say I got chills listening to this. There is progression here. If any of you had an ear for music you could see that. I guess only a few can tell though. This is the most widely ranged album they have put out to date. Somatic defilement was straight 2007 deathcore, this is exile was the updated 2009 deathcore, a new era of corruption was a chugfest, Whitechapel was their innovative self titled, our endless war yet again made innovations and differentiated them from other bands, and now the mark of the blade is another step forward. There are songs that range from a nu metal sound to thrash metal, and even some metalcore. My favorite songs are the ones with the different sound, like bring me home and a killing industry. Overall this album is progressive and inherently good. So far it is my favorite. But I'm a little biased because Whitechapel is my favorite band.

The deathcore equivalent Pantera's Walk, but far less subtle. I like it.

The way I found out about this band was in a donut shop in McDonough, Ga. The guy who got our donuts was wearing a Somatic Defilement shirt in 2008 lol
