She did drugs WE GET IT, THE WORLD GET IT. But why don't we remember that she's one of the best vocalist of all times?? why don't we remember that she made history in music?? She was beautiful, talented and addicted to drugs, that's it. I wanna see people talking bout her music, not about her life... who are we? god?

She lived her ENTIRE LIFE trying to please others and it broke her heart when she couldn’t. Makes me sick we didn’t treat her better when she was still here. Even in death there are people who continue to bash her. I hope and pray she and her baby girl have found peace because they sure didn’t get it here. 😔

As a recovered addict myself, watching this moved me to tears, and I do not move to tears easily. Cocaine has destroyed so many good lives, and if it has proven anything, it's much bigger than you are. It was bigger than Whitney, it's bigger than anyone. It will reprogram your mind into thinking *nothing* else in the world matters. Thank the lord, she's left a legacy of some of the most perfectly executed, soulful vocals ever recorded. R.I.P. Whitney ❤

I went to my first Whitney concert in Nashville in 1987. She was riding the first wave of her singing career. Her 1st album was heading straight to the top. I still say that this was the best concert I have ever attended in my 59 years. I saw her in concert at least 20 times through her incredible career. I always wanted to repeat that first experience but that never happened. However, I was never disappointed in her even if she struggled to sing on key, hit the high notes and finish her concert. I realized she had become involved in drugs and was a tortured soul but I never lost my love for Whitney. To this day I will never say anything negative about my idol. I miss her so bad. RIP WHITNEY....I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU MY ANGEL!

Same I've been singing since I was 4 years old, I use to try and sing along with Whitney when I was 10 she was like my peak of where I wanted to reach. I ended up pursuing musical theatre/singing for half my life...then in 2020 I got covid bad and for the last 3 years my body has been affected I can't even stand or walk without pain. I know this means my dream of being a singer is over. It sucks to still have your voice but your body is done and injured for this lifetime. The amount of despair and heartache is crazy. I can't even imagine trying to grieve my talent in front of the world and cameras. I understand her too I wish I didn't tho.

The fact that her team and family let her tour in this condition is beyond me EDIT: I see lots of people getting upset by the use of the word “let”, as if I was implying that she wasn’t an adult that was able to make her own decisions. She was an addict, and addiction is a horrible disease that can only be cured if the person who’s victim of it, is willing to get help. Having said that, to enable and actively assist in someone in that state (whose voice did even function properly to even talk) to set up a World Tour is the hight of irresponsibility imo. Many people saw the train wreck that was coming, yet did nothing to stop it (and by that I mean stoping the tour, not stoping her from taking drugs). I’m sure no one forced her to do the tour, if anything she probably insisted on it, yet helping her carry on with a situation that was detrimental for her brand and most importantly her health, just doesn’t sit right with me.

this lady could sing. If she couldn't sing in the end of her life, we all know why. She was one of the greatest singers ever and she has to be remembered as it. NOBODY can take it from her. Not neither her bad performances.

@@irenegonzalez8779 it is easy to say when you aren't in other's shoes. Maybe you have watched the documentary about her, she started with drugs in very early age, as child, at home, introduced by relatives. She became a star for the WHOLE world and it was a huge pressure on her when she was very young. It is not by coincidence that 99% of the big stars in Hollywood and music branch use drugs. Besides the pressure of being a mega star, being target of media and journalists, target of people that wanted use her, she was an employer of more than 100 people that was working for her...working for her voice! If she was sick, people didn't give a shit, she was there to sing because the shows were sold out! When you are so successful having hundreds that depend on something that is very very vulnerable as your voice, people just want that you go on and go on and on, it becomes physically impossible. And you have to perform, no matter what! She generated millions to everybody that was around her, including her family. People stoped to care if she could or not sing, they just demanded that she did and that's it. It is not easy to just walk away, people OWN the artist. There are plenty of contracts that make the artist perform BY FORCE. manager, label, producers, name it. If you have heard about a incredible talented swedish artist called Avicii. He wanted to stop, he coudn't. Lots of contracts on him and if he didn't honour them he would pay millions as fine. He was depressed and said lots of times that he would not like to do any show, anymore, he started to have panic attacks before the shows. They didn't listen and he took his own life. Drugs to this people are a way to keep going, to feel stronger, to not sleep, to not feel and so on. Do you think that they have a choice? yes, they have. The choice is to leave the show business, be ruined and say bye bye to what they built with their hard work. Or continue doing 200 shows per year and try to endure it as much they can by all means.

I loved Whitney in the beginning and I loved her in the end, she was beautiful inside and out, she had favor on her and she loved the Lord. We all fall short, now let this beautiful soul rest in peace! One more thing everyone's voice changes as we age, she wasn't 18 any more, let's try to remember that. She was and still is the voice!!!

She sang live in so many of her world tours. Lip synching was not her go to thing like so many other less talented singers. They probably wouldn't last a year of her 30 yr career under the same circumstances! They certainly could never ever match her superior singing ability.

Let’s please remember her for her EXTRAORDINARY, INCOMPARABLE voice and musicality, and not for the struggles she faced. We all have struggles in life. It’s not fair that you are highlighting the darkest, most embarrassing moments when there are so many other incredibly beautiful moments to show! I hope you take this down out of respect for Whitney Houston, her family and those of us who still admire her so much!

Cried when it was her funeral. Just a beautiful, black queen. She was simply stunning always and just had this grace. I know she could be a bit rough when she chose but she really was something. To see all of that unravel because of drugs was just too much. She deserved better.
