That last tour when everybody was so mean-spirited about the condition of her voice...EVERY single time she sang "I Love The Lord" she KILLED!!! All those other songs were a toss up whether she would execute or not, that one song was NEVER in question. So glad somebody else noticed this consistency!!! Bless you!!!

Gosh this woman can sing. Wish the media showed this I stead of the bad performance. The media really tore her down. Now they are doing the same to Mariah.
@odangoatama98
@odangoatama98 7 жыл бұрын
It's so horrible. The media always turns on the legends and then as soon as they die, they act as if they always loved them. Luckily Mariah, does not have a foreseeable death cause right now, but then again neither did Michael! I would be heartbroken if Mariah died, but she seems to be doing good, and if the media showed any vocals at all from recent, people would know she could still sing.

I get so mad hearing Whitney on the radio now almost as much as I am actually enjoying the song because,, she was too pop, or too black, or too whatever when she was alive... pisses me off... she was one of The Baddest,, and not enough flowers were given to her while she lived , and could smell them as my granny would say...

When you are singing for the Lord, you reach notes that only you can by expressing your personally relationship with him vocally, She struggled throughout out her life as most likely we all do, but having a personal relationship with the Father is ultimately the only thing that matters!! Praise GOD, Whitney loved the Lord!!, as I do!!

Yes she did! And I do too! I will never forget when she was on Oprah and Oprah said "Who do you love?" EVERYTHING in me knew she was about to say "The Lord" before she said ANYBODY else. And that's what came out of her mouth first, "The Lord". I smiled so hard when she said it and nodded to myself like "Me too, Whitney. Me, too".

Despite the excess of phlegm she had in her throat SHE KILLED THIS, in the sense that she gave her ALL to minister to these people! And even technically there is SO MUCH of what she did here that ONLY SHE could do! The runs, the inflections, the phrasing! And even tho she went raspy here she still had amazing power!! The “And through the storm, and THROUGH the night…” 😭🙌🏾. And the sweet yet fragile notes of the last line “lead me oooonnn hooooome” 😭😭 There was no one like this woman!!!

I hate to hear people say she “lost her voice”. You can see here her voice was STILL there, if anything it was hindered. She had a lot of phlegm from smoking cigarettes for so long and possibly had early stages of emphysema because she had been smoking cigs since the 80s(wanna say her autopsy confirmed this). I’ll never forget some of the clips from her last tour where her voice would punch through and she would sound like 90s Whitney. This video shows she still had everything that made her Whitney… she just had to stop smoking the cigarettes (which she had shortly before she died 😢😭. She told Clive) and keep working with a coach.
@whitneyfan9019
@whitneyfan9019 2 жыл бұрын
Definitely agree! Yes she’s been smoking since she was 14 or 15. Whitney could still sing very well considering the damage that was done. It irritates me when people keep comparing her voice to her younger days. Even if she lived a clean and sober life her voice would have still changed over the years. It would probably sound like it did in 1996.

It's about that special PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP with the LORD; and that is all that matters. The notes in a song isn't important when you're singing from ur heart to the Lord. God isn't concerned about the perfect notes. All He want is for us to have our hearts right with Him so that we can spend eternity with Him when we leave this earth. In the end; your Soul is all that matters; nothing else. Whitney LOVED the LORD with all of her heart, Soul; and mind. She's now RIP in Jesus arms.

Evidence that her voice was coming back like her voice coach said. He said Clive Davis stopped him from restoring her voice fully! I can only wonder why? Not only this, but her voice coach ALSO TOLD Anderson Cooper that her voice could have come back! Listen to the last two minutes of the video at: Anderson Cooper (CNN): Whitney Had No Life Without Her Voice

***** You better know it! Somehow, I have to believe that Clive Davis knew about the plan to take Whitney's life and could not care less about anything except making a few dollars. Who would not want an artist voice to be restored, for they all have voice issues at times? Be that as it may, he cannot touch her soul.

If you never been addicted or getting over addiction you dont understand It's harder than you could ever imagine. I was addicted to food and it took me years. I didn't understand why or how for a long time. food was my friend and my comfort. it was my escape from the horrible life i use to have. It didnt start out that way. I was never an over weight child. most people dont know that they have a problem until its almost too late. They Put her Out front. Thank you Jesus for freedom Deliverance

She sang from her heart for a woman she clearly loved. She doesn't sound the same as she did in the 90s but Im not the same 108lbs I was than either. I love the new voice and the raspiness of it. I wish she had time to make the haters know her talent went far beyond the high notes she loss.

Not only did she attend but she also SANG at the in-law's funeral only a year ago! If that's not selfless love I don't know what is. The deceased gave birth to one of the worst husbands alive, yet Whitney dutifully and lovingly honored her. The more I know about Whitney the more humble I feel.

If u can hear good, then you can hear that this woman could’ve gotten her voice back. This was after her NBL world tour, and her vocals are better here than they were on tour. This woman just needed time, time to get back to herself and get that voice of a lifetime back. Nobody gave her time though. I love her so much, so sad she isn’t here anymore.
