Whittington Castle is nestled away in Shropshire in what was once part of the marcher lands. The castle dates back to the 12th century and the history is greatly entwined with the Fitzwarin family. It is also considered one of the most haunted castles in Britain.

I've got very fond childhood memories of this place, being local, visited many times. Never knew the full extent of its history though so thank you!

You give a very comprehensive history of the Whittington castle that dates back to 1100 A.D. It's wonderful that the history and a good part of the structure has been preserved for generations afterwards to enjoy and use. Today, it's generating money for the local community. Very nice upload. +S*58
