For anyone who is confused, the ace of a group does not mean they are asexual, it means that the member is considered to be really good at everything like, visual, dancing, singing, etc. They also produce and write songs. So basically someone who is considered the best of the best in their group/entertainment company. Hope this helped😅

Just to answer some of your questions 1. I’d recommend a more serious guide that actually kinda explains the members, the one you picked was more of a joke one, the best one lately is the ultimate stray kids guide by teanosuga 2. The charmer video you watched was actually a fan made one, unfortunately charmer never got a MV (as much as stays wanted one 😂) 3. LiSA is actually a Japanese artist who has done a lot of anime osts and is really popular in Japan 4. To answer you question about who is skzs biggest competition, it kinda depends, they’re know as the leaders of the 4th generation of K-pop and have broken multiple records and has even come close to bts on beating some, it’s really who you ask tbh 5. Skz have more of an international fan base then Korean, they actually are kinda known in the uk and even did a uk drill inspired song (it’s called 3racha) but they recently sold out shows across America, Asia and Australia (unfortunately didn’t come to Europe because they’re bad a geography apparently) but they did recently headline lollapalooza in Paris, the VMAs (which they won best K-pop for) and 3racha (skzs production unit made up of chan, Changbin & Han) performed at the global citizen festival Sorry for the long paragraph but I really hope you continue to listen to Skz because they really are genuinely talented and also incredibly humble and funny

I’m not sure if you guys know anime at all, but the LiSA featured here is like… the anime opener queen. She did the intro for Demon Slayer as one of the most easy recognizable ones. The guide was bad enough I skipped it. Charmer is an amazing song, but that’s a fan-made video. I’m going to recommend a trio of unit songs where they broke into 2-3 member groups and wrote new songs together: Red Lights, Surfin’ and Gone Away.

Basically any performer you have, even in the UK, will wear make-up. You all had Queen, David Bowie, and Elton John (to name a few) paving the way with drastic make-up and costumes as far as the popular music scene is concerned. It's just part of the industry 😊 As far as European interest -- they headlined for LollaPalooza in Paris with over 60k people attending. European fans have been BEGGING them to add more tour dates in the area.

Lol for that guide it looks like a fever dream. I was laughing so hard that vid is so unserious. Ace means - he excels at everything, he can sing, dance, rap and make music all at high level. Every member of Stray Kids are all rounders and can pretty much sing, dance and rap but Han just does it so well. I was laughing at the asexual comment although nothing wrong with that. Also Stray Kids does not consider BTS as competition they are their senior an older group who come before them and respect them a lot, fun fact one of SKZ member Lee Know was a former back-up dancer of BTS. Most competition are actually because of fans, the only competition is when fans want their group to win in an award or break music records. Idk how you guys choose vids to react to but the charmer one is a fan made vid compilation of their other videos and you did cut Felix part in Top Line hahaha. LiSa is one of the most popular anime OST singer most people confused her for Lisa of BP when they saw the title haha. Hope for more Stray Kids.

I'm only here for stray kids but many others will probably be interested in other groups. I would totally be down for solo songs tho. Here's the song recommendations for every member: - Han: "miserable" -Lee know: "Limbo" -Bang chan: "connected" -Seungmin: "Hold on" -Hyunjin: "contradicting" -I.N: "Maknae on top" -Changbin: "Streetlight" -Felix: "Deep end" These are my personal recommandations and you can always take other songs but I think these suit your taste best. And like you noticed Stray kids has a huge and mostly loyal fanbase. I guess it's just something about their personalitys and their self-written music. Stray kids and BTS are really not comparable since BTS is a completely different generation and more like people Stray kids would look up to then a competition. BTS existed much longer then them, so it is given that they are more famous. And by the way, would you mind just not editing the video? I know you don't wanna be "boring" by repeating parts but I honestly just see it as being dissapointing for people wanting to see your reaction to their favourite part, even if you don't say anything.

Social path is a song that Bang Chan (the leader of skz) wrote about his 7 years of training to become an idol; he talked how his mental health was rlly bad in that time period and how he gave up his childhood to become an idol (in mind that only the best can debut and there is alot of competition in South Korea). He met Han and Changbin after 5-7 years of loneliness and them three created 3racha (the producing team in skz). LiSA is a really popular singer in Japan, she usually sings Anime ost, one of her popular ost is the opening of Demon Slayer. Also i really recommend watching ‘The ultimate Stray Kids guide 2023 guide’ by teanosuga. Its more informative and talks more about the facts about each of the members. Ace in Kpop means that the can perform vocals, rap and dance at an exceptional level (so basically good at every position in a kpop group). Han is known as the Ace of 4th gen kpop because not only his is one of the top 10 fastest rappers, he hits most of the high notes in Skz songs and he has really powerful and natural flow to his dancing as well. He also is apart of 3rach and produces/writes songs alongside with Bang Chan and Changbin Skz solo songs (some members have more solo songs than the other members, but all of these songs came from the Skz Replay Album: Connected - Bang Chan Limbo - Leeknow Doodle - Changbin Love Untold - Hyunjin RUN - Han Deep End - Felix Stars and Raindrop - Seungmin Hug Me - I.N Songs i recommend: 3racha: The song only consist of the producing members in Skz (every in stray kids has produced/composed/written a song). The members are Bang Chan, Changbin and Han. The song has Uk drill rap vibes to it and is such a bop. Really recommend it. Muddy Water: The song has 4 members who are in the rap line. The song gives of like old school rap vibes, and the melody is really authentic and very catchy. Also the raps are undeniably catchy and flowy. The members: Changbin, Han, Hyunjin, Felix. Superbowl: The song has all the members. Its an English song but they have a Japanese version of Superbowl along with a music video. The song is a bop, thats all i gotta say. Easy: This is a song i definitely think you need to react to. It is definitely so good and catchy and i think you’ll enjoy it. Slump: Slump is a very underated song when it comes to reactions. It has all the eight members. It has an english version you can listen to. It has electric guitar and the song was written by Han. Similar to social path but Han’s perspective of how hard and challenging it is to be an idol, and how he was in a slump and couldn’t produce music and felt like giving up. HaPpY: The song is written by Han. It has a more of a sad love song typa vibe to it but with like kinda emo side of it ig. But it is rlly good. FAM: All 8 of them. The song is just a really boppy song just about the members, describing them as their ‘Fam’. That was alot of information but i hope you can continue your Stray Kids journey. Also Stray Kids is releasing an album scheduled to release on 13th November 2023 called (pronounced Rockstar) and we’d love for you guys to check it out. Btw the Stray Kids fandom are called Stays. 😅😁😁😁

Maknae - youngest member Bias - is how you call your favorite member Bias Wrecker - is how you call your second favorite member, or like, someone who steal your attention and make you "forgot" about your bias All rounder - is how you call a member who is good at everything (sing, dance, rap) Ace - is how you call a member who is good at everything, but not only good, he has to have high quality in everything (sing, dance, rap, visual, song writer, producer) main - is the best at their position lead - is the second best at their position sub - is the third, someone who is good at their position, but not amazing like the others Fotg - means "Face Of the Group" is the most popular member in a group Visual - is the most beautiful member according to koreans, the member who fits more in korean standards Center - is the member who balance the group, he's always on the center of the choreography and is the member who always stands out in a music video

@TeeW2023 7 ай бұрын
Just a correction to the main, lead, and sub descriptions especially with singing: while someone who excels at singing may be the main for example, that is not exactly the meaning. The main singer gets the most parts and/or sings the main part of the song. The lead singer starts off most of the songs. The sub comes in with the sub vocals. While it makes sense that an excellent singer wouldn't usually be sub vocals, sometimes they are because they focus on something else more like dancing. It's more about distribution and role in the song rather than skill.

I am a stay. Please don't put skz in competition with any other group. They like to win but don't ever put down others.... even if they could, they're just too damn busy being on their own beat. On another note BTS are in their own league. They are responsible for a significant amount of South Korea's GDP, which is an insane concept. Able body men are required to serve 2 years in the military so that is what has put them on hiatus. Plus they are senior to skz and most koreans are big on respect so they wouldn't go there besides Chan would never allow or condone this. (Besides "Army" are scary. ) Black Pink are in the same seniority category and also help make kpop a global phenomenon.

Maybe I'll read the comments on the next one without watching first, and the moment I see "they cut the video again," I'll know not to bother because the reactions are for views and subscription collecting, not interest in the music. I am glad you are enjoying your journey into Stray Kids. I just want to pass on a caution warning from Stay GolyenHighway: - One thing you need to understand about K-pop. It stands for Korean + Popular. It's not just one thing. It's a vast array of genres put together in various ways. Every group will have different ways of blending those. Almost every song will have vocals & rap in different parts. All of them will have dancing (except for the K-band groups). - BTS and BlackPink are from the third generation of K-pop. Stray Kids are in the fourth gen. And each generation of groups have different overall sounds, due to what is more popular at the time of them singing/making the music. Styles & techniques will differ, & groups will evolve with the times. Some groups will find a style & sound that works well for them, & then never change it more than small tweaks. Others will be completely different from when they first started, & continue experimenting. - And before this happens, don't compare groups. Comparing groups is always a tricky thing. Fandoms can get up in arms over the slightest things. So....Best not use one group to compare to another. EVEN if you are saying nice things. Put it simply? It's like someone talking you & one of your cousins (or friend) & relating every thing you do to the other person. "Oh. You do such & such? Just like "other person"." "Oh. So & So did such & such so much better than you did." "I like how you did such & such, just like So & So did." That kind of stuff breeds resentment & also invalidates any accomplishments that each have done. So, yeah. Comparing groups isn't great, even between a group's members. It just kinda sets Fandoms off & creates fan wars.

For some perspective: Every artist, performer, newscaster, etc you see on tv is wearing makeup. Your favorite manly-man butch-af archetypal "masculine" footballer is _slathered_ in makeup in every interview or other off-field appearance. Every sweaty, muscly, "masculine" action hero you've ever watched: also swimming in makeup. Every whiskey-guzzling, bed-hopping, crotch-grabbing, uber-"masculine" rock star you've ever heard: coated in so much makeup that it's oozing down his torso. People on camera wear makeup. People in artistic presentations wear makeup. Very few people -- including kpop guys -- wear full stage makeup walking down the street in everyday life, and that doesn't even factor in that arbitrary concepts of masculinity aren't universal and based on English/European standards.

The fact that Han forgot he wrote Secret Secret will never get old. Also Ace is just a term that means their an all rounder, they can sing dance and have really good visuals. Okay originally there was 9, Chan was the one that chose them all during a survival show held by JYP, two were eliminated and then brought back (won't tell you who). One left amid bullying rumours which they were cleared off. It was a hard time for them all and it shows in their music around that time. Bang Chan/Han and Changbin are the main writers, composers and producers for their music but the others more recently have started writing more of their own music too, Limbo being written by Lee Know and Deep end by Felix. Oh and the Lisa your think of from blackpink is not the one in Social Path, LiSa real name Risa Oribe is a Japanese singer who has done a lot of anime opening and closing songs

In Topline the lyrics "Grand Line" and "Red Line" are referencing the manga One Piece, Grand Line is the Ocean with the most famous pirates in the world so they have to beat them in order to become the king of the pirates, and Red Line is a part of land that boat cannot cross. So in Topline "they're counting wins on the grand line" and " they can't pass me I'm the red line" come from this. Stray Kids are anime fans lol.

While most of their songs are written and produced by three of the members (3racha) all the members are now actively writing and producing tracks. my god i could write an ESSAY on topline, but i’ll try to make it as short as i can. so first thing is talking about Tiger JK. he’s credited with being one of the people to help bring hip-hop to being mainstream in Korea in the 90s. he’s super influential in Korean music, so it’s really cool that the boys got to work with him. since their debut, skz been told that all they do is make “noise music”, to which they basically said “yeah but aren’t you still here?” (i.e. Gods Menu, Cheese, Thunderius, Topline, etc). one of my favorite things is the lines “i’m counting wins on the grand line/…/can’t pass me in the red line” because it’s a nod to one piece (anime for ppl who don’t know) in which the Grand Line is where most of the story takes place (“counting wins”) and the Red Line is a boundary that is impassable. so they’re essentially saying that they’re still winning and no one can match/pass them. this goes kinda hand in hand with yalls comment about other groups, because skz are 4th gen kpop. a lot of people try to discredit them because of fanwars with bts fans (3rd gen) and other 4th gen groups (also amazing but i don’t feel that they’re on the same level atp). the closest i would say would be tomorrow x together who also performed at the vmas & headlined lollapalooza (Chicago), but skz has tons of awards & headlined lollapalooza Paris (& tons of other stuff) while not having the same amount of support from the Korean audiences. they’ve been bigger internationally than domestically for a while, but the Korean fanbase has been growing recently!! essentially the song is them not needing approval from the industry and will keep redefining their legacy as they push higher without anyone being able to be bigger than them. including Tiger JK on the track is just another way of saying “this is how big we are” to the industry that has not shown them much love before!! sorry this was so long but i hope it helped a bit!!! i know some people miss the one piece reference but i thought it was so genius to include!!!

They actually do some kpop music festivals in Paris quite a lot. UK is a bit behind on kpop but it's huge in most of Europe. Tbh you need to watch a longer guide to really get to know much about the members, but you should know the fanbase does not like people saying one member is better than another, because to function as a team they all have to be equally good at their own parts, and Chan, the leader, used to do weekly livestreams and would be very upfront about how all his members should be respected. People do have things called 'biases' which is kind of like your favourite member/ just the one you click with best. Bias is a term used a lot in kpop, and people can have a bias line (several members) and bias wreckers- which is when another member just takes you out in a track or performance. Kpop in general blend a lot more of what over here might be considered masculine and feminine, but that's mostly because we're a bit slow getting over ourselves here. In Korea 'skinship' or physical affection between men is so much more common, as is complimenting each other and stuff. There is a social hierarchy system so you're supposed to respect elders and if you are male, another male older than you (in the context of a kpop group) would be your 'hyung' / brother. The hyung has a sort of duty to look out for and help educate the younger, and often 'dongsaengs' (the younger) will act a lot more cute and affectionate towards a hyung that can contain elements that seem quite flirty coming from our perspective. Having said that as a group Stray Kids are extremely close and known in the industry as being very close and affectionate, and they flirt with each other as a love language sometimes so if you watch their stuff you'll get used to it fast. I found it so refreshing getting into kpop and there was so much more healthy masculinity than it felt like over here, but it sounds like your area is particularly bad. LiSA is a really famous Japanese singer, not Lisa from Blackpink. When it comes to kpop groups there is competition between fanbases for awards and stuff but the groups themselves all tend to be friends. South Korea isn't a huge country, and most kpop groups really respect each other. BTS were one of the first ones to really make it big and crack the global market all over which is why most people know them if they don't know any other groups- but kpop is so varied different groups have different styles and sounds people have their own preferences. A few of my favourites would be: Seventeen 'Super'; Kiss Of Life 'Shhh'; Ateez 'Bouncy'. I think Ateez made it onto the UK album chart high up with their recent album. They're kind of similar to Stray Kids in vibe so a lot of Stray Kids fans will be Ateez fans and vice versa. They're different, but they have a similar energy and outlook.

And this Lisa is not the Lisa from Black Pink. This Lisa is known for all her anime songs

I think others have said but this is not the best guide as a first introduction to the group. It really plays on inside jokes a lot so it's a better guide for later in your SKZ journey. The other thing to note is that culturally it's not as socially taboo as it is in western cultures to be affectionate as men but in our westernised cultures, however, some things, like grabbing butts are another of their in jokes. These guys are very close and I believe their own managers have "complained" sometimes they are too inseparable. Anyway, I find how they interact quite fascinating because you can't get to where they are if you are not a tight knit group able to break through any conflict for the ultimate team good. Enjoy your SKZ journey. Keep an eye out for their new album (comeback) on 10 November.

Actually it is harder to do a song when you are jumping from person to person perfectly because every time there is a change there is a chance to miss the continuity of the song. When a single singer is singing he is less likely to miss entrances, going off key or changing rhythms or even volume. Not to mention when performing this they are dancing the whole time...hard dancing
