Who is the Original Lisan ul Ghaib?
No one talked about hypocrisy and duplicity better than Hafez.
Khwāje Shams-od-Dīn Moḥammad Ḥāfeẓ-e Shīrāzī (Persian: خواجه شمس‌‌الدین محمّد حافظ شیرازی), known by his pen name Hafez (حافظ, Ḥāfeẓ, 'the memorizer; the (safe) keeper'; 1325-1390) and as "Hafiz",[ was a Persian lyric poet, whose collected works are regarded by many Iranians as a pinnacle of Persian literature. His works are often found in the homes of people in the Persian-speaking world, who learn his poems by heart and use them as everyday proverbs and sayings. His life and poems have become the subjects of much analysis, commentary and interpretation, influencing post-14th century Persian writing more than any other Persian author.
Hafez is best known for his Divan of Hafez, a collection of his surviving poems probably compiled after his death. His works can be described as "antinomian" and with the medieval use of the term "theosophical"; the term "theosophy" in the 13th and 14th centuries was used to indicate mystical work by "authors only inspired by the holy books" (as distinguished from theology). Hafez primarily wrote in the literary genre of lyric poetry or ghazals, that is the ideal style for expressing the ecstasy of divine inspiration in the mystical form of love poems. He was a Sufi.

Hafez is one of my favorite poets. Even after all this time, the sun never says to the earth, ‘you owe me.’ Look what happens with a love like that! It lights up the whole sky.

This is actually not a poem by Hafez. It is by Daniel Ladinsky who alleges to have been inspired by Hafez. Nonetheless, it's a wonderful poem.

I wish I could read this amazing poem in the original version. I'm a professional translator and I know that in the process of poems' translation around 70% of its contextual meaning and original beauty is lost. I can already speak 5 languages but I lm afraid its take me many years to learn Farsi to the level which would be good enough for understanding Persian poetry 😀

Its much nicer in the original language, but quite difficult to understand. Words have different meanings and poets play with them

Our Bangladesh is influenced by many Persian poets. Sheikh Sadi, Hafis are notable among them. This is because during the Middle Ages some Persian royal families ruled the region of Bangladesh. Prominent in the Nawab Sirajdullah family of Persia

Around 75% of Urdu words have their etymological roots in Sanskrit and Prakrit, and approximately 99% of Urdu verbs have their roots in Sanskrit and Prakrit. The remaining 25% of Urdu's vocabulary consists of loanwords from Persian and Arabic. Urdu language is closer to Sanskrit than Persian, even Urdu language was born in India.
