also lets not forget, his current experiment (and major reason for his undoing) was technically a success as it resulted in the Doctor Ogron, the hybrid that not only had some time lord biology and all of the doctor's memories to that point, but could regenerate without changing bodies (judging from the line "good. still ginger") and did the one thing the overseer needed it to do, which was pilot a tardis

The dalek sec base used to create the photoshop of the overseer has made so many people create theories that they are the same dalek, lmao. The fact that Tom Webster left Sec's ID tag on the dome probably didn't help. That's why I made my own custom ID tag when I made my renders of the Overseer.

honestly hes one of my favorite daleks and its almost a shame hell be a one-off, because a dalek so hybridized that its basically regained freely felt emotion and a sense of pride in its work.......feels like the closest big finish has gotten to making the volatix cabal

@@daleksaan935 but they get results. That's the other advantage of ogrons.....their biology is so simple, you can interfere with their DNA endlessly

The bit that always stuck out to me was the bit where he has to stop to chew a whole lot of offal, because his body requires the meat. It's just the unsettling revelation that this thing has jaws, teeth and a mouth.

I really do appreciate the use of tentacle like limbs on a dalek as I wondered how that look. The claws might be a bit too big but it’s still very stand out! I think it might’ve worked better with a new case all together cause it seems like a bit too much with the time war casing. Personality wise as some terrible amalgam the overseers personality and experiments are actually more compelling than his design. I’m glad the other Daleks decided to destroy him as an impurity!

love for you to discus the audio story dalek empire, their some interesting dalek in that, the emperor dalek, the alternative universe daleks and of course the susan mendece Dalek Supreme the only female dalek to ever exist

There's been a few examples of that, and it all comes down to the fact that most New Series Daleks in black casings using Dalek Sec as a base - the leader of the 'Children of Davros' from the Doctor Who Experience was just re-used footage of Sec, the Overseer was a heavily photoshopped promotional picture of Sec, and the black Dalek from Series 9 used a Hire-A-Dalek model of Sec. It seems as though the Dalek identifiers are not unique, as we've seen some be re-used in the past - perhaps the code on Dalek Sec simply translates as 'Commander'? This might be tinfoil hat territory, but in Series 9 when the Dalek is tracking Davros leaving the infirmary on the scanner, a symbol appears that is very similar to Dalek Sec's code but appears to be more elaborate - maybe a variation on 'leader', 'controller', or (if Robert Shearman's novelisation of 'Dalek' is to be believed) perhaps it could even mean 'father'.
