So, quick disclaimer. With Chapter 28 out in CN, some new information regarding the relationship between The Will of Honkai and The Imaginary Tree emerged. I opted to exclude them from the video because I don't like to talk about CN content when it's not out on GLB yet. I made this pinned comment to address that information. Depending on how much will be revealed in the last act of CH28, I may do a short follow-up video. Anyhow, CH28 SPOILERS ahead. Otto states that he made a bet with the Imaginary Tree itself. He says that Durandal and Kiana will be able to defeat him, the enforcer of the Tree's will, despite him being grated god-like powers. Since an official translation is not out yet, I'm still not sure if the bet he made is with the Will of Honkai or some other entity. This could imply that the Will of Honkai is essentially the Will of the Imaginary Tree manifested, or at least part of it. It is further stated that the Imaginary Tree sees itself as a god-like being and it cannot conceive the fact that it might lose. This further solidifies the fact that the Honkai Energy is a mechanism of the Imaginary Tree meant to prune itself by removing the attached civilizations, and that the entity referred to as the "Honkai God", could essentially be the Will of the Imaginary Tree itself. Since its rough translations I might get some things wrong. If you could add more info to it I would appreciate it. In the meantime let's wait for the Chapter to come out in GLB and see the official translation. Thank you! Edit: My brain is actually mush these days! At 4:00, artificial stigmata are given to people with lower Honkai resistance - like Himeko - in order to be able to wield Honkai energy, not to people with high Honkai resistance. Sorry for the confusion! Edit 2: So it seems like Mei made contact with the Will of Honkai at the end of Ch28. I am sure that the next arc will give us some big reveals and some more informations. 4:00 Artificial Stigmata is used for people with low Honkai resistance actually. Himeko for example was not actually compatible to become a Valkyries due to her low Honkai resistance (possibly due to the long-lasting effects of what happened to her in Alien Space). As such she had to use Artificial Stigmata to become a Valkyrie. Artificial Stigmata boosts the Honkai resistance in the short term and gives the host the ability to wield Honkai energy but drastically reduces the lifespan of the user as a cost. Valkyries also existed before the invention of Artificial Stig. As Natural Stigmata is a thing and Activated Natural Stigmata Bearers always existed across history. For example all the children in Otto's orphanage (28 I think) back in SS civil war era and many more.

One more thing the reason why the 14th Herrscher is so overpowered is the fact that her life force is not connected to the will but to the imaginary tree and the Qanta realm ( reasons why Kevin and Suu never destroyed it cause it would literally end reality even tho they knew its real reason for existence). The Will of the Honkai is not one single omnipotent being but a hive mind. HoV had this ability because she was one of the few who could control honkai beasts. In GGz, mihoyo revealed many characters and said they were part of the Will so it is pretty much a hive mind and the 14th was probably created as the ultimate enforcer to keep the multiverse in check because the Qanta and imaginary tree are at constant war with each other. So i think if the Valks destroy HOE at her source it would probably mean Armageddon, and yes when the 14th arrives, those with enough honkai corruption remain, the rest literally turn to ash. Only Kevin was left on the moon, the rest of his unit turned to ash when she arrived

This is just my guess, I think the reason why the will of Honkai killed itself in form of Otto might be the hint for Otto to make his plan on sacrifice himself. I might be wrong but if you read back in 2nd eruption manga, will of Honkai also help out both Otto and Sirin( give power to Sirin when she asked and knowledge for Otto to save Kallen). Moreover, the will of Honkai also does not doing much compare to it’s ability to change normal herrscher into apocalypse being. I will say that the purpose of will of Honkai might not to test on that civilization, but to make sure that ‘that’ civilization are good enough to face further crisis like aliens and stuffs. There are no sources(from what I have learned so far) that the will of Honkai showing to be the real threat toward humanity except for creating Honkai to for equally with humanity.

This WOH is most highly dangerous being than any aliens I watched, experienced and fought against. I think it takes more than brute force to take it down.

8:46 Well, tbh I don't think that the entity Su encountered in Second Key is the Will Of Honkai, since it states not having met a human for the past thousand years, even though the Will of honkai made contact with Sirin and Otto in Second Eruption, and seeing as Durandal is already pretty old here, that means this happened after 2nd Eruption(just my guess though). Meaning this being *could* be someone even higher than the WoH itself, since it seems to know the Universal Truth that governs even the Honkai itself.

8:45 the voice Su heard is probably not the Honkai, since it said it didn't talk to a human in the last thousand years, the will talked to Sirin(technically a human since herrschers are just that since they can revert back when their cores are removed somehow as seen with Welt, Bronya and Mei in apho, and Kiana before she became the herrscher of flamescion had lost her void powers) And it also talked to Otto(when it shoved info into his brain) I wonder if this entity is the will/sentience of the sea of Quanta? Since the will of Honkai is the persona of the imaginary tree Or maybe its an entity beyond the honkai? (since it talked about Su getting to know the universal truth or whatever that means) Very interesting Would be interesting if the honkai turns out to not be the strongest thing in the story

I am very excited about the future chapters, since Mei has encountered the will of the honkai in the latest CN chapter cutscene

I believe I read somewhere that the Will of Honkai is a single entity that controls all the Honkai, not just in one universe but in every single universe, I theorize this might be why it does not intervene in any world because it has no place in any world, It’s existence is dependant on the plane of the Imaginary Space and it cannot manifest physically because it was born in the Imaginary Space and had only existed there ever since. We now have enough information to explain the Will of Honkai. In Previous Era, Will of Honkai was akin to a program in a computer that is set to adjust the abilities of Herrschers to counter Civilization, hence the Herrscher of Binding absolutely destroying the MANTIS, leaving only 13. During the fight against the Herrscher of Finality, before it was spawned, Mobius forcibly installed Prometheus-17, an AI created b Dr. MEI, into the Cocoon of Finality and essentially replaced the Will of Honkai. This way, future civilizations can have Prometheus-17 helping them by making sure the Herrschers that appear will be the exact same as Previous Civilization's Herrschers, which means they have the advantage of information. In Current Era, the Will of Honkai(God) that Sirin and Otto meet is Prometheus-17, that's why "God" is so nice and magnanimous, unlike the several Wills of Honkai in Gun Girls Z that literally have full on hatred for civilization. Prometheus-17, acting as the Will of Honkai, could not actively help civilization, so she simply made sure the types and order of Herrschers that appeared were the exact same as the Previous Civilization. When Kiana arrived at the Cocoon of Finality, Prometheus-17's job was done, and idk what happened to her. But when Kiana became the Herrscher of Finality, she essentially became the Will of Honkai, as the Cocoon of Finality was the root cause of Honkai in that specific "leaf".
