I have a feeling that Zigg Zoldyck has the same appearance as Killia because Zigg was the one who brought Something in their family which possessed Alluka and Something or Nanika really likes Killua so much.

Something you could have mentioned here is that Maha and Issac once fought to a stalemate. If Zigg is Maha, it might be how they met. If Zigg isn't maha, they might have fought because of something that happened to Zzigg, maybe because Zzigg had to bring Ai to the Zoldycks or something.

He could also be a sibling to maha or the mysterious zoldyck. Zigg does not look like the kind of guy that is interested in the family business or a relationship.

The Drawing of the Ai/Nanika possessing Alluka is so freaking creepy and quite a bit reminiscent of something Junji Ito would draw. It stands in stark contrast to the really cute portrayal of Alluka and Nanika from the 2011 anime.

HxH theory: "Maha" (meaning: great in Bangla, Hindi and various other languages) is a title that the oldest alive member of Zoldyck family holds. As we already know HxH uses terms from Buddhist culture, such as "100 type Guanyin Bodhisattva", "Maha" also being a term coined in Buddhist culture, has the possibility of making a juxtaposition between Netero and Zigg, making Zigg Zoldyck the current "Maha Zoldyck".

i think its interesting that in those panels zigg is the only one that doesnt appear afraid/shocked but rather he looks quite giddy. Makes me wonder if he actually enjoys fighting the beasts in the dark continent and it makes me think there is a possibility he just stood behind of his own volition while the other two came back, somewhat like don.

Given the nature of Zoldyck's occupation it would make sense for zigg zoldyck to change his real name or even identity to maha zoldyck if he came back alive from the dark conitinent . Also, just imagine all the mob dealers and underground mafia boss reaction if they knew that a zoldyck came back alive from the voyage. It would really be either bad or good business for them and for zigg. Perhaps, zigg zoldyck took this chance to continue his family's legacy under the name of maha zoldyck.

How is it that people younger than netero ended up looking older than him if they all ate the same thingy. I believe it was just nen dude. It's been stated that it's almost impossible to predict netero's actions by his nen. He probably just had that much control.

Another comparison between Maha an Zzig is that they both have very mischievous looking facial features, Maha looks like a very old teenager with his hands tucked into his pockets

Maha is actually younger than Netero was believe it or not, about 12 years younger to be exact as Netero was 110 upon his final years while Maha was 98. They are also both confirmed Enhancers. Maha being the only confirmed Enhancer in the Zoldyck family.

One thing to add is that Zeno mentioned in the anime that Netero knew him as a baby. Judging by their compariative age by appearance when the trio made a trip to the dark continent, it's likely that Zigg is younger than Maha. Maha should look more like an adult than a child if he made the same trip with Netero.

maha zoldyck is most likely a honorary title, maha /ˈmʌhʌ/ adjective Indian adjective: maha very large or great. being the oldest male member of zoldyck family could come to be called maha zoldyck, this would be consistent with saksrit roots of the word maha where maha is usually a honorary title slapped in front of a word to denote a "ultimate" of something, mahabrahma, mahaatman etc, seeing how buddhism is reasonably popular in japan i wouldn't be surprised if they decided to copy the maha prefix as a stand alone title as a nod to buddhism / hinduism / sanksrit

You're only looking at the Zoldyck head households. They can possibly have uncles and brothers who probably eventuakly leave to start their own jobs. As the assasination thing is only required for the head of the households. 7:16 Nevermind you mentioned it.

My theory is just that Netero earned enough of Maha's respect after the fight for them to go adventuring in the Dark Continent together. Zigg was just Maha's nickname back in the day. Eventually they went their separate ways as Maha either began the Zoldyck family business or rejoined it, depending on how old it actually is (I'm willing to guess the latter).

Zigg zoldyck is probably dead. I always thought he was and he probably sacrificed himself to let netero and linnet get out safely. But its crazy how powerful you have to be to be on neteros level. It would be awesome to get movies on this, a movie on the past of netero, on the past of ging, like theres so much we havent seen. But I think zigg is probably the brother of zenos dad. I feel the the tree represents only the heads of the family. For example the tree wouldnt include illumi or milluki because they arent family heads. Killua probably will inherit being the head and he'll be included in the tree. So zigg probably was a brother to maha or zenos dad.

The dark continent reminds me of skull island from king Kong which is cool

The one thing that came to mind is the correlation between mahas nen type and zziggs hair color. Maha is confirmed to be an enhancer and we know that every zoldyck with grey hair is a transmuter. So either this consistancy only came to be later down the bloodline or they arent the same person

I enjoy these videos as I am a HxH fan. And here, my comment is just going to throw a "wild theory". Since Nanika seems to be an "Ai" and has the "wishing" or "order" related powers, what if... Zigg was the reason Netero's party was able to return, via a wish or an order. Given how different these types of characters may react, compared to the regular folk, what if Zigg was able to befriend an Ai while on the dark continent but, near the end of the trip, they were caught off guard and had to leave or die. Maybe he wished they'd be able to go back home together, with Ai. Problem was, Zigg could have been gravely injured (maybe over confident in his abilities or just caught off guard). And, just what if, Zigg promised to "always play" with the Ai. Upon his (maybe) death, the Ai made it so they could play again through its power... resulting in Killua and Alluka? It kind of makes me wonder why Alluka seems to always interact with others, perhaps a carry over trait of the Ai being a gaseous creature, thus unable to interact with other "solid" creatures. Maybe that's why the interaction became a prerequisite for the "wish" to activate. I'm just blindly guessing here. Killua has made an assumption as to why only he was able to use Nanika powers without getting a penalty, right? But what if his guess was wrong and this could be revealed later by the last remaining survivor of their group, if they manage to interact with her or the story manages to develop towards that end. Again, I'm just theorizing. Not saying it is true, but it does make me think about this as plausible, though pretty low.

The zoldyck family is fascinating

I think Zigg probably looks a little different when Togashi isn't illustrating him scared and shaking haha. The entire trio were scared out of their minds. So I figured he probably looked a lot more intimidating, especially as a Zold. As for their age, I have a theory. Maybe all food from the dark continent has crazy side effects. Longevity could be a common thing. By the way, the supposed victims of Pap were never shown in any of the pre-voyage chapters were they?..

We do know that Maha was super powerful in his time and is said to have only met his match when facing Netero. This can confuse ur a theory a little as they appeared to be chums, but then again it does show that they’ve encountered eachother which could also encourage ur theory.
