Right? Bail must've known, but perhaps TSW was including that in the 'obvious'? I'd think Mon Mothma too. The early kind of core of what would become the Rebel Alliance leadership probably knew since they were senators, and Bail Organa was one of them. He surely would've known and if the others didn't, he'd tell them.

@@zephyr8072 It was the end though. That's the point. Bail likely would've been told by Obi-Wan or Yoda on Polis Massa. There'd be no point to hide it then. Unless they thought they could hide it from him to protect him, which would not last terribly long. He's not an idiot.

Most the wider Galaxy couldn’t have understood what the Sith were because the Sith were assumed dead and forgotten, but that complacency allowed the Sith to rise up.

I remember a Legends comic where a group of Imperial higher-ups were complaining about how the Empire was "a theocracy of two." I guess more people might have known in Legends. In that same comic was a guy (a Moff, I think) who had the audacity to ask Vader what it was like to rely on a machine to breathe. Vader generously obliged by crushing the guy's throat (or something) so that the guy had to rely on a respirator to breathe just like the Dark Lord. Stand-up guy, that Vader.

Oddly enough, vader did have a sense of fairness within him. It was dark twisted and demented...but it was still there!

@@user-ko3vg7fc7o Vader was still in many ways Anakin, as much as he hated it and would deny it. Vader did actually in some things take pity, particularly on slaves, except sometimes that involved killing them out of warped sense of pity. He had the power to free them or protect them, but he was just that far gone; death was pity. He did confront Palpatine about slavery once, but just once.

In season 7 of The Clone Wars, Rex refers to him as Lord Sidious. Oddly, the clones apparently automatically knew his identity once Order 66 was triggered, at least the higher ranking clones did.

I think both bail organa and Mon mothma Both knew that he was a sith. Because both of them have been in presence of Jedi that have fought with dark sidious and they would want to warn them not to go after that person.

Late to this response but one thing that always got me was when the clones executed Order 66 they always refer to him as Lord Sidious, or my Lord. So unless they forgot essentially every clone should know.

Maybe he shouldn't count, but Palpatine's "son," you know the clone boy who eventually escaped Exegol. He knew his father was a Sith. Maybe not the "Darth Sidious" moniker, but he certainly was raised around that shit. And he knew the power his father commanded.

Is the last guy u mentioned, the advisor guy, the one who was actually Palpatine’s friend? Like only legitimate close friend.....”from way back”? I’m pretty sure his friend was the main one of that little advisor clique, but I can’t remember. He was palatines friend from early in their political careers in Naboo, I think. I know the friend had also witnessed palpatine and plagueis together, using their sith powers to stop an assassination attempt on plagueis, and if they did know he saw them, they still didn’t kill him just cause they knew without a doubt they could trust him. That’s the main old man naboo advisor guy, right?

I don't see how the average citizen couldn't put two and two together. Those who knew of Vader knew he was a powerful Force sensitive person. If the Emperor wasn't Force sensitive, then Vader should have easily overthrown him.

I always wondered why the Neimoidians and the Trade Federation were so obedient to Sidious. He was only a senator at the time. Then again, he may have threatened them and that was enough to keep them in line. I don't know if you did a video on that subject.

Vader, Yoda, Obi-Wan, Luke Skywalker, Leia, Han, Bail Organa, Mon Mothma, Sate Pastage, Mas Ameda, Sly Moore, Thrawn, Ashoka and the Ghost Crew knew who Sidious was . Also Mace, Padme, Count Dooku, General Grievous, Nute Gunray, Darth Maul, Oppress, Mother Talsin, Tarkin, Fisto, Tiin, and Kolar knew who Sidious was before they died.

Don't forget the librarian, plagieus, pretty sure tenebris, the rebel spy on Coruscant who tried assassinating him, plo koon's niece, likely any shadow guard, commander fox and other Coruscant guard members. Not to mention the famous anakin Skywalker. After all, Darth Vader betrayed and murdered anakin skywalker after he learned of sidious.

She knew the sith lord behind everything was Darth Sidious, and she knew Palpatine was the emperor, who was also a Sith lord that she literally fought. Its not a stretch to think she put 2 and 2 together and figured it out.

Its how she knew the Sixth Brother wasnt him before she identified him as an Inquisitor, because she knew if Palpatine/Sidous had visited the planet she was hiding on that he would have found her instantly with the force. Shes in the same boat as Tarkin, ie we know they know, but they have nothing to gain from telling anyone

Since blade color is now determined by one's connection to the force....is it possible for Jedi duel wielder, or multi bladed weapon, to be two colors? Will they eventually become the same color? Ahsoka had a green primary and green yellow shoto when the new canon was established so two colors are sort of possible? (But then the fact Ahsoka had green sabers to begin with is a question to me as she's clearly a guardian archetype like Anakin and Kenobi)

Yes, there is a Jedi in the clone wars movie that wields a green and blue saber. They say he has two brains, that's why he uses the different colors. Pong Krell uses two staff lightsaber one green one blue.

I know the purple lightsaber was a request by Samuel L Jackson for the Mace Windu character, but it is a mix of blue and red, and most pretty much use the colour theory to believe he had hints of force use in the dark side in him as a result.

Thrawn knew, just because he's that intelligent. Thrawn didn't care; he was there to accomplish his own goals. As long as that happened it didn't matter. Tar kin was definitely openly in the know on it. In fact I would say that everyone in that command meeting was aware of both who Darth Vader was as well as who the Emperor was.
