If you liked this one, you should check out the reboot for Super Mario Bros Z, by Mark Haynes (aka Alvin Earthworm). It's a Sonic/Mario/DBZ crossover, and the fighting animation is absolutely killer. It makes this Death Battle look absolutely amateurish.

So one of the things about Mario and Sonic games is that the hardest and Least versatile characters to play as are Mario and Sonic. Playing as them is more about the challenge but the other characters have better jumps or can just straight up fly in a platforming game

Death Battle/ Sega: Tails IQ score is 300 Me, an intellectual: that's not how IQ works. The way IQ score goes is not on a linear scale. A 300 rating doesn't mean you're twice as smart as a 150, because 300 does not exist on the scale. A 100 = average human intelligence/ in the top 50% of the smartest people, 150 means you are in the top 25% smartest people, 180 means the top 10%, 199 means the top .5%, ect, and the same applies in reverse for numbers lower than 100. So the highest possible score you can get is 200, which literally means you are currently the smartest person on earth.

They definitely got this one wrong. Tails maybe faster, smarter and has a better arsenal, but Luigi is way to strong, tough and experienced. Luigi, along with Mario, Wario, Waluigi and Bowser once survived a nuke and point blank range, and they weren't even hurt by it, there is nothing Tails has that could deal anything close to that level of damage, so Tails' arsenal is completely useless, I mean what good is all of these bombs and gadgets when they can't even hurt Luigi. Plus his strength is directly compared to Mario, who lifted 60,000,000 tons and kicked with the force of 3 and a half megatons, with that kind of strength, Tails would be killed in a single hit. Yes Tails can run faster, but Luigi does have light speed reactions, in other words, he's able to dodge, catch, and counter things faster than Tails, meaning getting that hit in, wouldn't be that much of a challenge. To sum it up, Tails' arsenal is vast, but completely useless against Luigi, Luigi can one shot Tails, whileTails can't even damage Luigi, with this much physical superiority, all Tails' speed could do is delay the inevitable, and with Luigi's reaction speeds, Tails couldn't delay for long.

Really disagreed with this one. Luigi should be on par with Mario. Tails is inferior to sonic. Mario vs sonic is a close fight, so Luigi should beat tails. I can't help but feel they completely downplayed Luigi. Still really enjoyed the fight itself though, did both their personalities quite well imo.

Going to be honest. This is a pretty outdated Death Battle with the notes we’ve gotten on Mario since then during the 100th episode.

So I'm a big fan of sonic games but I don't agree with this. Yes hes smart but tails doesn't compare to sonic where Luigi is close to Mario and seeing how close the sonic vs mario battle was.

If this fight was done nowadays, I think Luigi would win from stats alone. He is able to scale to base Mario who is easily galaxy level by being able to defeat up bowser.
