Who should be the next Taoiseach?

Leo Varadkar is set to regain the position of Taoiseach later this year, but if you had a choice, who would you select for the hotseat?
We took to the streets to ask the Irish public.

A person who loves Ireland. Puts Ireland first. Preserves Irish culture and identity. Controlled immigration and protect fishing rights and resources.

I can't see Leo Varadkar serving in government with Sinn Fein! 😉 Maybe I'm wrong, but it would be akin to him resigning from politics. Maybe Fianna Fail could be persuaded (under duress), but conservative Fine Gael?

Why didn't they ask any foreigners? Considering it's all about 'diversity' these days? You must have had a job trying to find any white Irish on those Dublin streets

Ireland need to take a Risk on parties which have not yet had a chance to Rule. Fianna Fail and Fine Gael have proven too many times that they serve their own interests over those of the entire population. Doing the same thing every time expecting different results is madness. Time for them to go.

Somebody with a heart, brains and not in bed with the rich people in the country. An ideal person will be Marylou McDonalds. Who has intelligence, compassion and the fact that the people of Northern Ireland voted for Sinn Fein they are obviously doing a great job. Marylou for prime minister no doubt.

Definitely Mary Lou. All naturalize Irish would pick Mary Lou any minute. Also, Wicklow, Wexford, Dublin, and Kildare are easily Mary Lou.. We will give her a chance no FF or FG ever!!!!!
