If you don't know what I'm talking about, the tail cloak matriarch and sai'nen from legends of runeterra were originally pitched as ahri's parents, but was abandoned. Not gonna lie as much as I loved the ruined king I wish they went with this, if for no other reason then to see her reaction The original concept art is still up on artstation if you wanna see it, the matriarch was originally suppose to be an Ionian human and sai'nen is basically the same. Fox statues the note is about are referring to in-game loot required to forge the Ahri's ultimate weapon. Those statues have stories of their own and are found in peculiar places. The are some lore in that too.
