Not from what I saw? It barely got a little more hp but after dividing the cubic feet the ecoboost was nearly double the numbers of the ram.

My 100% stock 3.5 EcoBoost with MPT tune only (2011) made 420/532 @ tire. This build very low numbers for a turbo swap! Need to find a real tuner! My current Raptor crate swap shooting for 600 @ tire on E50 I am calling out that 8.3 ram build.

Custom tune for the srt would be interesting to see on the dyno. Also would be a more equal comparison with the custom tuned eco boost.

I've been impressed with the 3.5 EcoBoost since I saw a stock looking truck run 7.5s on the 8th, total sleeper. I personally rather have the SRT-10

Bogus numbers. I love v8’s but those 3.5 ecoboosts make some great power. A reputable tuner (mpt or 5 star) make 450hp/470tq TUNE ONLY. Fire whoever tuned that.

I never heard of a 100rwhp gain from just a tune on these eco boost. Maybe torque. But for a mail in general tune that ain’t terrible.

Josh C I went to 750cc injectors with 55/62 turbos detchworks 350Lph pump and bigger intercooler made 478hp I put over 160k on it before I sold it. It’s still driving to this day got 260k in the dash

@@joshc606 a 93 octane 5 star tune on an 18+ 3.5 is about 100hp and 120tq gain with just the tune. It has to be 2018 or up though.

This is a gen 1 boost, so without dual fueling of the 17+, a canned tune adds only 40-50 at the peak, like mine did. But I agree, with a custom tune (he said in the bid it was custom, but didn’t say by whom) AND turbos & more, I was expecting much more. My guess is dyno operator error. Either used the wrong gear and/or didn’t load the engine. Otherwise what the hell is the point of the new turbos if a $500 canned tune gets you the same results????

@@crimsonstang Fiat-Chrysler. Not just 'Fiat'. The big difference is, the Daimler-Chrysler thing was about Mercedes trying to learn how Chrysler engineers could go from blank page to built car in half the time, where the people working for Fiat and the people working for Chrysler have the same mindset, all about going fast and having fun. Now, for laughs, look up the ME-412, which is how Chrysler engineers really pissed off the Mercedes crowd, by building production ready prototypes in 18 months, while the AMG group engineers took 5 Years,.. and both cars had the same V12. :D :D :D

By the time the EcoBoost gets to 3000, the Ram has already been pulling from 1200rpm with more torque then the EcoBoost will make.

@@PiDsPagePrototypes I'm not knocking the SRT10, but stop exaggerating. The Ecoboost in the Raptor is only down 15Lb/ft peak torque at 510Lb/ft@3500 vs the SRT10's 525LB/Ft@4200. The Ecoboost will put out ~90% of it's peak torque from 1500RPM. That's ~460Lb/ft @ 1500RPM. The SRT10 doesn't hit that torque until after ~2300RPM and doesn't climb much until after ~3200RPM.

@@robwiljas Now add Mass per Ft/lb at RPM in to the equation. By the time the Ford gets on boost, the torque from the larger displacement as already got the Ram rolling. Sure, on the track, with a higher stall convertor, the Ford has a chance. But out on the street, with any sort of stall speed that will make it driveable on cruise, and the Ram is streets ahead.

Because these guys are not Ford guys and don't care about an exhaust that sounds good. Look at the Dyno charts. The tune they used on the Ford was crap. HUGE dip in power where it should boost, peak and hold hp early in the range. The other 2 had proper looking graphs on their charts. Looked like a lot of tune time spent to make the curves right. NO time spent to make the Fords curve right. I can make a TT V6 sounds awesome. Just listen to my 300zxTT sound clip on my channel. I know from experience and even have proof.

@@starbattles1 I'm just not a big fan of v6 exhaust. Personal preference. I'm a v8 guy myself. 4 cylinders and v6's just don't sound as good in my opinion. I'll do a free flowing exhaust, but if it's less than 8 cylinders, I'd prefer quieter exhaust.

Wait... EcoBoost gets a custom download tune (which is questionable at best), but its MAF so for the most part it will calculate fairly decent. The Dodge is a Speed Density system that requires tune to see the true gains, a prebuilt commercial tune simply cannot fix the MAP calculations. Being fair I would've liked seeing both being custom tuned on the dyno and you could still use the SCT sponsorship and highlight the handheld tuners potential. No baseline dyno run on the Ford? A proper tune could also fix that choppy curve that looks like the Rockies. Bolt on power is not merely parts, it sends the wrong message.

That being said id like to see what it would do boosted but you know whats gonna happen just 2 different animals. But I have owned two 3.5 ecos and spent way less and made more power easily. But like you id love to see both maxed just to see what happened i know they wouldn't push the limits like i probably would tho lol

ford guy cut out rather important safety bars from the front end to fit wheels that were alot larger, dropped it down and gave it a sway bar dodge guy if I remember correctly changed a cam and exhaust and changed the grill and blacked out a decal and nameplate. we all know whos gonna pull more power

I always wanted a SRT Ram, but the regular cab, stick version. I think the approach on the Eco for power was and those injectors are throwing off whomever is tuning it. With a HPFP upgrade, that truck could be around 450-480whp with a good tuner on 93. There are Gen2 F150 Eco's running 11's and making around 600whp, they are quick for what they are. Heck, my 2014 (same engine as this 2015) is making 550whp on 34's, but it is not stock.

Guys if you order a tune from 5 start tunning, the 3.5 eco boost will kill that v10. Tunes can be email and you can just loaded into your sct. 5 start tunning are getting more HP than yours on stocks F150 , so imagine your truck with all those goodies!! Good luck.

@@stuie334 Do some research, those turbo upgrades are capable of much more HP and the injectors were not needed at all. Not a good tune and the fueling money would have been better off spent on a in-tank pump upgrade and/or a HPFP upgrade.

I have an 07 Nissan Titan that I’m trying to get it turn it to be a sport truck. The truck has over charging problems and I’m hearing a load grinding noise and I’m wondering if it’s the alternator or starter going out. The other problem I have with it is it’s under power and not to mention it runs out of gas faster than other Titans

Realistically, needs a 35% XDI pump and then they could have made more. The injectors are a waste of money at that power level. I have the same motor, stock injectors (which are close to maxed out) and make 550whp on 34's.

Ecoboosts are ~350hp stock- at the crank. 410hp at the wheels is a significant jump in power.

The srt10 still using the 4 speed auto. Dodge should have used the six speed manual like in the single cab. Line those trucks up, that's the real test!

I believe that 4 speed is why the 4 door has a much better tow rating than the 2 door.

Calculating horsepower per cube between an n/a and a boosted engine isn’t fair. Pull the turbos off the ford and try again.

😄 all that talk about the big engine on the Ram and you only pulled 470 with all those mods!!, 😆 I'll stay with my 17 Eco 3.5 with 375 hp and 470 torque stock

Did the same thing with the lightning vs the 454 ss. Turbo the lightning vs cam and exhaust on the ss. Seems like we got some ford fan boys that gotta castrate the competition so their truck will win

At 8:49 you can sure see a difference in paint in the front and back doors, truck has been smacked.

That Bronco needs a dropped Pitman arm and panhard bar mount and big fat detachable sway bars. I'd get rid of the stock steering box and pitman arm setup and swap in a modern rack. It's got lift blocks in the back too :/

So which would rather have a flashy truck that is kind of fast or a sleeper that is fast? Personally I'd rather have the sleeper because it's a lot more fun when someone thinks you're slow and you school them then looking fast and being meh. I would have put a supercharger on that Viper or a pair of twins. That would have made one hell of a beast.

God forbid they use what people would actually have lol if it were that it would be a V8 dodge or v8 ford and a Chevy with a vortec/LS. Except in the real world you can get a Silverado with a 5.3, throw some eBay turbos and bolt ons and be close to 1,000hp. Even as it is, the ford I. This episode should’ve been way higher than it was. People are getting what they got here out of stock 3.5s. Tune and bolt ons will get you 500 relatively consistently.

A 2020 Raptor with a tune pretty much keeps up with the SRT10. If the dude who can't figure out his accent used a a 2nd gen coyote, he could have put a super charger on it and got 650 HP and 600.Torque

Dodge was way more economical to upgrade on any normal budget. You have big motor without the turbos doing all the work

A tune, charge pipe change, intercooler and an exhaust is pretty cheap and pretty much the same basic upgrades you would do on the srt10 minus intercooler, and im sure they would be equal in both power output and money paid for upgrades

Bruh you can get WAY bigger gains for waaay less money on an ecoboost. Ffs you can spend 4-500 for a tune that'll boost it over 100hp and over 100 tq. Idk a single other vehicle I can spend under $600 to get that much gain.

How do I apply my 2.3liter 2WD 5-speed 1994 Ford Ranger to Power Rescue? My wife just had Severe Heart Surgery, and chose to keep my truck, and purchase a 2020 Toyota Yaris LE Sedan as a comuter... Let's say, I miss being able to use my Truck!

Yeah but the ram will produce that horsepower forever. Good luck on longevity at that horsepower. I'd just slap a turbo and tune on the ram and pump out an easy 1000hp and call it a day.
