Why buy expensive high-protein supplements if you can make your own? This protein powder is a mixture of the finest seeds and legumes that's rich in fibers, good fat, protein, and packed with extra nutrients. It's gold for your body!
Enjoy!
CJ
WHOLE FOOD PLANT BASED HOMEMADE PROTEIN POWDER FOR SMOOTHIES... AND FOR EVERYTHING ELSE!
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup chia seeds
1 cup pumpkin seeds
1 cup oatmeal
1/4 cup of flaxseeds
1 cup of dried green split peas or quinoa
2 cups of puffed amaranth
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
METHOD:
Blend all the ingredients separately until they become a fine powder. Pay extra attention to the flaxseeds, the sunflower seeds, and the pumpkin seeds because they have high concentration of good oils if you blend them too much they will turn into a paste. After you blend them, separate the clumps very well to prevent humidity.
Keep in the refrigerator for up to 6 weeks.

I also use cashew, almonds and sesame seeds. And I toast all seeds, cause I think it dries them a bit, preventing clumping and I just like the toasted nut/seed taste on my milkshakes. Hazelnut also good.

The brand (merke) is called NutriBullet. That is from the makers of the original and first «bullet blender», all the others are knockoffs of this brand. The first one they made, was called Magic Bullet though, but it is from the same maker. I love my bullet blender, I actually upgraded to the NutriBullet Rx, but still mostly use the smaller version, which is a 600W one. It’s just great for powderizing dehydrated veggies and countless other things.

you can't eat the split peas raw, they have to be cooked and dehydrated first. also after you grind flax/linseed it must be consumed within a couple of hours because the fats inside go rancid and cause oxidative damage. you could grind it and freeze it though.

@ChefJana

Our bodies never absorb 100% of the nutrients we ingest, and in this case here the amount of Phytate present in the peas is just too small so it won't interfere in the absorption of other nutrients, so don't worry. But if you prefer you can just leave the peas out of the recipe. The linseed won't go bad if you keep the protein powder in the fridge, I have been making this for almost a year and it keeps perfectly well if well refridgerated. :)
