I like a rifle with a muzzle brake I have a weatherby vanguard first lite in 30-06 with the factory ST brake it shoots like a 308 or less I have a Remington 700 VTR 308 with the factory 3 slot brake it shoots like a 243 I have used jcb solutions brakes on several other rifles and they work great for an economy priced muzzle brake I have them on my AR15 DMR my AR10 in 308 and my 350 legend that I set up for my nephew

There's a ton of good brakes out there. The benefits to recoil control and everything that comes with it are pretty tough to beat!

I live in the UK and moderators are not a problem to request on your firearms license. I have a 300 Winchester magnum and where I wasn’t putting a large amount of rounds through it, found that I was developing flinch when firing for the first time in awhile. I had read a lot of information around muzzle breaks however they are not popular in the UK for hunting and seem to be more for long range shooting. I have recently purchased an RCC muzzle brake which has proved to tame the 300 recoil very well. The thing that did come as a bit of a surprise was the concussion from the gases leaving the break. It also appears that the blast is very loud but I guess this is because I am not used to having the muzzle brake or firing the rifle without a moderator. I very rarely use hearing protection (I should know better) however using a muzzle break it is a must. The first time I fired with a muzzle break and no hearing protection my ears were ringing (not a nice feeling). I really liked your explanation and although I now know most of what you spoke and been in a lot of other channels and found yours was a simple explanation of what to expect.

Thanks for the kind words. You'll enjoy the brake once you get used to it. Hearing protection is a must though!

Well done and very professional more people need to see this video. I like the 300 WBY I have some MK V rifles from the 80s these guns were wood and heavy I was younger and the recoil was there however I could tolerate the punishment. Now I am older and I bought a synthetic 300 WBY and this gun was knocking my fillings out of my teeth absouletly horrible. I had a brake installed or the other choice just get rid of the gun. I did install a radial brake and this turned the gun into a very nice shooting firearm. I will never hesitate again.Thanks for the great video however I already know the benifits people who don't know about the benifits of a brake need to see this video, spread the word, Cheers

Thanks Rocky! It's wild the difference brakes make in shooting experience for any given rifle. Glad you enjoyed the video and are another brake believer. Hope you stick around.

I shoot a 300 weatherby in a model 70 Winchester. I put a pachmeyer decelerator pad and that makes a big difference but when I practice I always wear a shoulder pad so I don't start flinching.the muzzle blast from the brake would be something I'm not willing to trade for.

I use the one that came on my rifle, the omni muzzle brake from bergara. I have the bergara b14 wilderness hmr 6.5 creedmoor. I love this rifle and cartridge, however I tried to hate the 6.5 because of all the hype but I just can't argue with performance and the 6.5 creedmoor performs.

Thank you! We tried but the big benefit is the recoil reduction and that is so subjective. The videos really didn't do either one justice even slowed down!

I can see a muzzle break shooting at the range. You might shoot 40-50, a100 rounds. Hunting? How many rounds you going to shoot? That said, I'm in the market for a muzzle break for a range rifle.
@DeerandDonuts
@DeerandDonuts 9 ай бұрын
For us it's less about the number of rounds while hunting and more getting the most possible out of your accuracy as a shooter for that limited round count.
