If your A/C Air Conditioner does not work and blows hot air and you have Chevrolet Cruze or Chevy Sonic in this video we will explain what could cause your Chevrolet Cruze or Sonic ac not to work. Both Chevrolet Cruze and Sonic share the same engines and other components that's why the procedure will apply to Chevy Sonic too.

I did all of his diagnosis and if it just stops working and it did before check if you have coolant and anti freeze , mine compressor didn't engage till I put coolant

I just found 1 with a short between the sensor signal wire an the pump so I cut an trim in a new wire an shrink weather pack connector

I changed my cooling fan with a new ac Delco. Still no luck. I checked all of my relays with the 9v method all works. I checked all of my fuses. Everything is good but still the fan does not spin when I turn on the ac. It blows hot air.

I have a 2012 chevy Cruze and i emptied and then refilled my Freon bc it was blowing hot air after i refilled it it was Still hot. My ac was working before the shop changed my timing belt

Hello. I hope i will get an answer and rest same time))).. When i push to (switch on AC) AC button seems like everything is OK, the compressor starts running, the AC pipes underhood are cold/frozen, but there is no cold air..blows only Hot Air...Could you please advice ?...

Question. I just bought my car, same as this one but a 2012. Vacuumed the system, added the correct amount of R134A, the A/C compressor clutch engages, BUT the fan doesn't turn on radiator fan doesn't turn on and no cold air, even the A/C line doesn't get cold. Wouldn't the line still get cold with the compressor running? Or does the fact that the radiator fan not turning on have something to do with it? ANY ideas please?? We just had a baby not long ago and she overheats in the car so I need to figure this out. (Anyone - please, I really need help on this)

I have a Chevy Cruze 2013 and my A/C is not coming out cold. I had a mechanic do a diagnostic on the car and everything works fine except for the A/C it's not blowing cold air. They think it's an electrical issue. Any specific pinpoint ideas on what's causing the issue exactly?

Look at your infotainment system. If it doesn't show an outside temperature, it would be the outdoor temperature sensor - located under the front bumper. Mine had some kind of corrosion that prevented a good signal. Cost me $405 at the dealership to basically clean it. Highway robbery

Having the same issues, my mechanic is telling me A/C evaporator leak, which they would have to remove the whole dash to replace it, tough job smh 🤦🏽‍♂️

This happened to mine and it ended up being the ambient air temp sensor. When it got wet the car would show -° and the A/C won't come in below like 40f or something

If it's cold while driving and not parked it's most likey the radiator fan. Your car could be over heating if the fan is bad

HI Sir, I have LT Cruze 2011 Model, it Ac Compressor not working, It's working Directly with Battery but not automatic shut down or on-off, Electrician check all the Fuse and Relays are Ok, Put on-off battery Terminals and On-Off Engine but, Ac not colling, Gas is Ok, But When he Direct the link of Compressor wire with Battery its working good, but not automatic on and off. I have a Chevy Sonic 2015. The AC compressor was changed out to a new one and the vehicle was blowing cold air for a week. After that the cold air stopped. I took it back to a friend and found out he put direct power to the AC compressor and it was blowing cold air after. Without direct power it does not blow cold a/c. All fuses are working and the vehicle has freon. What could this be?

For anyone wondering what this guy's problem was, the fan at the very front of the car is the problem. Since it isn't blowing air the AC won't work but when you drive the air comes in and it works fine.

Is the ambient temperature sensor is located on a position that when it rains or wash your car the sensor gets wet and fails. That's the reason you need to wait until it dries completely y suggest to move that ambient temperature sensor to another location that cannot be soaked with water. I hope this helps you
