One advantage I've found with memory issues is watching programmes/films; unless I saw it 20+ years ago, it's like watching it for the first time, cos I don't remember what happened!

I know when it started for me. 33 years old. I moved, and went to the 1 store near my new apartment to buy toilet paper. I was there for about 45 minutes and did not remember to buy what I went there to buy. It's been downhill ever since. Prior to this I could go all week casually thinking of this or that I needed to buy at the store, go with no list and get everything I had thought about in the prior week's time and not miss. Now if I don't make a list and REMEMBER to check the list as I'm shopping I will miss damn near everything on the list.

When you don't know why you went into a room it's because you saw something you weren't supposed to. The Men in Black flashy thinged you but they don't know what memory to give you.

Thats why I have to touch my back pocket and face whenever I go to leave the house to make sure I have my wallet and my glasses

Best part is Easter and hiding your own eggs. Well, they were supposed to be for others, but you can't find them on the day. Then sometime in the next month you go to that cupboard and you have excess chocolate, surprise 🎉

At 45, I forget things. Fortunately people can't tell if I forgot, or just don't care. Trust me. There is alot of not caring.

50 now and memory has been slowly slipping away. Can't remember what I ate for breakfast but let an 80's song come on that I haven't heard in awhile and I know it word for word like I'm the one who wrote it lol

I remember everything as far back as age three but can't tell you why I walked in a room.

I used to write myself notes so I wouldn't forget what I was doing. But then I would forget to bring the note. Eventually I forgot to write the notes. What notes? What were we talking about again?

I think it's simply your "hard drive" gets overfilled the older you get and some things get a bit lost in the files. plus, losing your keys in your 20's is aggravating/anger inducing but losing your keys in your 60's bring fears of Alzheimer's or dementia - same exact thing yet different perspectives for no discernable reason, we need to be gentler with ourselves

It’s revenge, when I was a kid I’d spend the summer at my aunts house. Every time she’d walk into a room and say “what did I come in here for”. I’d just start laughing. She’d always say the same thing, just wait your day is coming. Why did she have to be so right.

Thank goodness to my fridge doors for important messages and sticky notes on my door for to do lists! Otherwise I am walking around like a complete space noodle!🙂‍↔️🙂‍↕️

I have to write things down now. And a paper calendar is essential. But I keep forgetting to take dsily meds. Even though they are in a little box on the kitchen counter for me to stare at. Ah yes my 50's are going to be fantastic.

Sadly, for me, my memory has always been a mix of my mother's, and my father's memory. My mothers was great, but she wasn't the best at math. And my fathers is terrible, and yet he's actually pretty good at math. So I'm ok at math and ever since I was a teen, I've had times were I too have ended up forgetting things, and ended up remembering it days later, when it least mattered. ugh

I have a brake job to do on my aunt's Explorer tomorrow. And I just spent a disproportionate amount of time staring at the $800+ pile of brake parts on my porch (that I have already come out of pocket for), wondering why they were there. And what vehicle they were for.. Keep track of the abuse you put your head through people..

Well I'm 39 an sometimes I forget what I was talking about or thinking about especially when I thought I had to tell someone something. So basically what your saying is I'm screwed no matter what I do an it's easier just to go. Oh well such is life. Fair enough.

I work maintenance and one night I checked my job roster and got my tools put them on my cart and walked into the room and completely blanked and had to walk back to my office to check the work order again

if you can not remember why you went into a room, then just grab a beer, sit down and fairly soon you'll realise it didn't matter any way.

A few months ago, I took a "neuropsyche" test because Dementia is something that exists in my family history & I was growing increasingly concerned about my (increasingly observed) memory issues. The results? I scored EXTREMELY high is almost ALL categories of memory! And the LOWEST category I scored in (free standing things. - like names or just words you are told to remember), ranked as AVERAGE! My response? "Are you SURE about that?!? Have you maybe grabbed someone ELSE'S test results?"

The first thing to go is your mind but I can't remember what goes after that

However, I forgot what day it was and showed up at my wife’s office with a colourful bouquet of 💐, all proud of myself 😎. Imagine my embarrassment 😟 when she pointed out my folly in front of her coworkers. (She later informed me that several of them said “At least he didn’t forget entirely like their husbands had done) 🫏
