Absolutely! Muscle weighs more than fat! You can lose fat and gain muscle which changes your shape but not always the number on the scale. 🎉❤

😺Just found you and subscribed. I like your helpful tips, and attitude, plus you're real. Just started my weight loss journey (100 pounds) 1/3/24. Lost 11 pounds this past week. Been dieting on and off my whole life. This time I am on low carb/mod fat, and track with the app Carb Manager. I have been thinking about doing one of those injections, but have to get myself to the doctor, and who knows what insurance is going to pay. If they don't pay, no go. I hope life relaxes for you. Having a loved one in the hospital is stressful. Take care of yourself.

Like you I have a family member in the hospital. My husbands father is 92 and got real weak on Saturday. Back and forth driving an hour each way, this is starting to take its toll on me.His mom is also still living 87 and refuses to leave her husband. I’m trying to watch what I eat but it very hard staying focused. Thanks for your encouraging words. Looking forward to seeing more of these great videos.🐈🐱😺🤮

I stalled when i went way too low calorie! I wanted to make it hard to feel like I wasnt "taking the easy way out". That didnt work! Now im listening to my body, making small tweaks, and LETTING it be easy! 🎉🎉🎉

Everyone will stall at some point. Could be 1 week 2 weeks or monthly The reason is your body is trying to save as much as possible I worries about not having enough fuel for the body. Puts the weight loss on the breaks. It doesn't discrimination

This was the perfect time for this video. I have been stalled the last two months. I know i have ate too many sweets over the holidays so that had a lot to do with it. It could have been worse though. I plan on increasing my protein and work to cut back the sugar and carbs more now that the holidays are over with. Prayers for your loved one in the hospital! 🐱

🐈 Great info. Glad you are practicing self-care while being a caregiver! You have a servant’s heart. The more weight a person has to lose, the quicker it comes off, generally speaking. Said a different way, the closer a person is to their goal weight, the slower the pounds are shed. Perhaps your weight stalls are just the natural slowing of your amazing progress as you near your goal. Just a thought. Blessings to you and your family member. 🙏🏻

🐈 Thank you for the weight stall info. Very true about that using weights at the gym can impact a stall or slight gain as muscle weights more than fat. It may be an odd place to ask, but was wondering if you would share about eating treats/sweets and if you allow this while of course having a changed life style. I know some things are a prospective (thoughts), but I also don't want to feel deprived. Delicate balance. My focus is to improve sleep (Major insomnia) & relax my thoughts at night to help this.

If you don't mind, I have a couple of questions and maybe you can answer I just started Maunjaro January 9th I am type 2 diabetic I'm metformin twice a day and a long active insulin at bedtime my starting weight was 288 lb with diet and exercise while some exercise lol. I got down to 213 lb on my own but I've been stuck there since 2 months so my doctor gave me Maunjaro 5 mg could not get the lower dose so he started me on that it's been 2 days since I'm on it but I'm experiencing nothing except for not feeling hungry. Is this normal? The other question is do I need to eat less than what I already eat? I'm eating somewhere between 14 to 1700 calories a day. Should I lower it because I haven't been losing weight doing that on my own. Confused. If you have any advice please help. I did subscribe and will be watching the rest of your journey. You look amazing! Thank you for sharing. If you can get back to me when you can I would love that. Have a great day and forgive me if I spelled anything wrong. I'm a horrible speller😂

*Hey* *Elizabeth.* And Executive VP Mr Freddy.🐕 First off, so sorry about your family crisis. That must be incredibly difficult and stress-provoking, especially on top of all your other responsibilities. Doubling-down on meditation and sleep is just so smart. Speaking of smart… wow, great vid. You so get it, and your emphasis and awareness of the mental side, plus recognizing and celebrating your very real victories as they come, is just so savvy and great. Props to you. 👍 I think you’ve got a really great handle on this now, and while you may not be 110 percent prioritizing upgrading your regimen right now (‘cuz, family issues can and do come first), the only things I can offer (since you’re already so on top of it): - Prioritizing protein’s huge as you know, but also taking in protein throughout the entire day, if you’re not already. ‘Pulses of protein’ through the day, as ‘Dr Dan Obesity Expert’ says. Apparently the body’s not so good at storing protein. So while it’s great at satiating hunger, it doesn’t necessarily do so for a tremendously LONG period of time. Wanna snack, are a snacker? Snack on the lean protein.👌 - Interval training, when you can focus on it. Been over it before. Can be huge. Has to be sustainable. - *Love* your emphasis on the weights. The increased lean mass is gonna make maintenance considerably easier once you get there. Muscle burns calories even at rest, and especially in use. And, it looks good. 💪🏻 - Setting proper expectations for yourself. Goes to the mental side, aka is VERY important. You have lost a LOT of weight (74 lbs is 3/5ths of a too-skinny supermodel!😯). But when you lose a lot of weight, the weight-loss almost invariably slows down. A LOT. You are now a considerably smaller person, with a more efficient metabolism too (part of your body ‘fighting back’), and a somewhat increased hunger response that smart eating and the meds are mitigating, but maybe not 100 percent eliminating. Given all that, being in a deep calorie-deficit in any kind of *sustainable* way is perhaps not really that possible. So you kinda have to ‘keep chipping away’ slowly and consistently. And with great patience and grace. 🙏 You can even see it in the clinical trial data. The average participant (though you may not be average), once they lose 15-20 percent of their body weight (15% on Wegovy, 18-20% on Mounjaro), is thereafter chipping away at like 0.25 to 0.5 lbs/week. (Again, on average, and you might not be average.) IOW, *slow.* And probably stall-weeks show up fairly often. But, there IS more weight-loss there for the having, if one is patient and doesn’t get demoralized and slack off a lot.😢 (Mental side, mental side, mental side.) I’ve certainly blabbed enough. Sry if I told you mostly a buncha stuff you already knew. 🙂 You so get this. Wish you well, and your family member well, too. Grace and Peace, always. ✌️🐕

😺two week weight stall. I've been stressed because of some challenges with my sons health so I haven't been sleeping well. Hoping that I can get on top of that and start sleeping well again. I've only been on tirzepatide for 6 weeks and have lost 12 pounds, so I take that as a huge win. Thanks for your inspiration.

I'm T2D and I discovered years ago that even while following a strict ketogenic diet my body can "magically" convert protein into glucose... it used to feel like I could even turn air into sugar. 😢 To this day I couldn't tell you what the actual underlying problem that triggered "magical sugar conversion" was, but I do know that Mounjaro fixed it... which, after years of struggling & over-thinking every meal like it was a battle strategy, I am so grateful to not fear "death by food" regardless of what I was eating (or not eating). 🐈🐯😻💖

😼 It was helpful to hear that your appetite picked up towards the end of the week, I didn't know that, and as this is my first week and I'm experiencing that, now I know why. Thank you too for sharing that these medications include hormones. I'm menopausal and on medication (not HRT) for hot flashes, but have started having them again since I took the shot. I'm also seeing that same cranky 'edge' I used to get with PMS. The hormone component makes this make sense.

Thank you for the great info. I was at a stall for so long and then went up a dose and it has been life changing again. I agree that the changes we make are so important. 😻 Thank you for the helpful tips. I really needed it today. My 5.0 stopped working last week on the 8th shot. Tomorrow, I will start 7.5 a few days early. It is making me nervous to go up this time. I guess I am worried the food noise won't go away again, I will still be hungry, not lose weight and my blood sugar won't stabilize. Is this normal to feel overwhelmed?

Don’t stress. The 7.5 is WAY stronger than the 5. But, don’t leave everything up to the drug. Focus on getting lots more lean protein. That’s the ‘satiety hack’, and it really does help. 👌

@@CountessofShoppingThe only time I had my blood work drawn was when I started back in November. No other blood work since. Hence my concern and I’ve been so frustrated (especially being in healthcare and knowing the standards) I’ve been afraid to go elsewhere in case I can’t get anymore injections

My focus this week is self care. Like you, made it through the holidays with no weight gain but then got my period and now stuck in a stall with the added addition of a super stressful back to work week.Ugh!!!!😿

My stalls seem to be from not eating enough. Also I rely a lot on low sugar protein bars, Icelandic yogurt, collagen powders and bone broth powders because I struggle to eat enough meat. Like you said here if I focus more on meals vs picking it seems to help me stop stalling. And this is controversial but even having nice cream once a week seems to break my stalls. 😂😬 I’m considered a slow loser. 35 ibs at 5.5 months. I’ve stalled three of those months. And in my case I think from not focusing on the enough calories. So now I’m oddly reverse dieting. Go figure. Dr says eat more and lift weights. Helping. Thanks for all your support. Love your vids.

I just got the 10mg mounjaro and I've got a bad red itchy patch where i injected. Now my doctor wasn't to switch me to Ozempic. I have lost 31lbs in 7 months but because i lift weights, i lost more inches than weight. Is it ok to go from mounjaro to Ozempic? I have to start on the low dose. Thoughts... BTW you look great and i love the videos and info you share. Thanks girl. Keep at it. You're an inspiration to many ❤️

OMG. My vegetables go bad too. Have to buy small frozen bags of vegetables until I learn to eat them normally. I gotta learn to not snack at night too. Working on it

I’ve was on Ozempic for 6 months and didn’t lose anything, so my doctor shifted me to Mounjaro, 1 year total and I’m the same weight. But I’m no longer pre-diabetic. I eat 2 meals at max. Intermittent fasting at least 18hr daily. Low carb, no processed foods, no inflammatory oils. Not sure more I can do 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’m looking for help too! I lost 30lbs on mounjaro 2.5mg over three months then k couldn’t afford it so I got ozempic through my insurance for 4 months at 1mg and gained 10 lbs. I went back to mounjaro since November it’s been 5 months and I haven’t lost anything! It’s so frustrating. I started back at 5mg 7.5mg now at 10mg and none of it is working. I drink a gallon of water a day and eat healthy minimal carbs if at all and I lightly exercise like walking and somatic exercises. I came here looking for answers and nothing 😔

Hello, I am a type 2 diabetic and was on 4 different diabetes medication at one time, the doctor took me off Januvia when they put me on mounjaro. I just started mounjaro a little more then over a month now.. i am currently on 2.5 , I lost like 8 lbs and now my weight is going back up. I eat good but an hour or two later I am starving.. example- breakfast would be sausage patty, boiled eggs and slice of toast.. lunch - Salad with cut up chicken, dinner- protein of some kind , baked sweet potatoes or rice and a spinach kale mix.. any suggestions on how to stay fuller in between meals

My husband also bullies me quite often about sex, house chores, etc. it’s almost every day I feel so overwhelmed. I also need neck surgery so I can’t really do many things cause of the pain I’m in. So I’m sure stress is playing a factor in my weight loss journey 😢
