japace61 As an asian man i can tell that racism towards black and latino people is worse. I can only speak for myself so please keep that in mind, but simply put. I don't have to fear for my life for everyday interactions, in contrast latino and lately especially black people can justifiably fear for their lives. I think right now social change in favor of black and latino lives is a higher priority, i can wait longer for such a change for asian people.

Josephhanul Last year, a Chinese American woman named Jianqing Klyzek suffered from police brutality and suffered racist rant from Chicago police. Let's just said that we Asian just don't get as much media attention about our plight. Therefore, our priority should be shuttering the "model minority" myth and advance our civil rights in this country. We may not need as much resources or different method of tackling our problem, but we certainly not living in lala happy land.

I am a nice person - and I'd love for all the colors under the rainbow to live happily and healthily. however, that's not the world we live in - group dynamics cannot and will not ever change because racism is a built-in self defense mechanism of the human psychology. think about humans in, say, 20000 BC - trusting a random stranger from outside your tribe would be a very dangerous proposition. A lone Wanderer from another tribe would reasonably be seen as someone who potentially betrayed their tribe and was cast out. A whole group of them would be seen as a threat to your own tribes resources. since resource scarcity is always going to be a thing racism will likewise always be a thing

***** Who is that they you are constantly talking about? Some KKK straw man perhaps? You know there are only around 5000 KKK members, right. If you are talking about this tiny group called the KKK you are spot on how ever there are hardly any white people out there that advocate genocide against other races in order to protect their own. And speaking of the race traitor thing again: Race traitor From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia This article is about the phrase. For the publication of the same name, see Race Traitor (publication). For the metalcore band, see Racetraitor. Race traitor is a pejorative reference to a person who is perceived as supporting attitudes or positions thought to be against the interests or well-being of their own race. For example, one or both parties to an interracial relationship may be characterized as "race traitors." As another example, a person who supports affirmative action or other policies that allegedly benefit races other than his/her own may be characterized as a "race traitor." The term may indicate racialist attitudes on the part of those who use it. The term is the source of the name of a quarterly magazine, Race Traitor, founded in 1993. ---- Just being non-racist doesn't make you a race traitor. Not even by a long shot. I do condemn that black slaves were bought in Africa and shipped to the Americas. Black women hardly ever got raped by white people back in the day because it was seen as something that is close to zoophilia. “And if you are truly concerned about the survival of your race, you need to learn about the cause and effect?” Well sounds like you are implying that non-whites want to exterminate whites for actions that happened more than 200 years ago. Now you are actively justifying the actions of the KKK. If you had some army trying to kill you that seriously outnumbers you wouldn't you run too?

As a white male of 41, I'm ready and willing to yield to a new and changing America. In other words, I grew up in my white culture and white privilege, but it's not important to me for that white culture and white privilege to remain dominant in our society. Because I realize now, that white culture and white privilege came at a price to other Americans. It's not that I want to see tables turn and see white people discriminated against. I just would prefer white people blend into a racial harmony diverse nation. Probably won't happen in my lifetime, but that's what I honestly would like to see happen one day.

The solutions we seek isn't people admitting their privilege or admitting the beauty of blackness or whatever. The solution is addressing the problems you so eloquently laid out: more funding for schools, stopping racial profiling from police, giving blacks who can afford it the ability to live wherever they want. once you do those things the rest is up to us as individuals (equal opportunity). you cant tell people how to think or talk; if you are offended call the person out and please stop throwing pc terms like white privilege, admit your priviledge and white supremacy around; it makes you look silly and also creates the natural human reaction to be defensive. finally let us not pretend perceptions just appear out of no where, when you have single family homes, black gang violence being an issue and African leaders being corrupt please admit that we also have our role to play.

The more funding for schools has been done in many black inner city areas like Detroit and the consequences are that they either stay the same or the performance of students gets worse with more funding than for schools in predominantly white areas. They did studies on this in Detroit.

People who aren't black ALWAYS say things to me like that. Incredibly insulting and irritating. "Hey girlfrannn" even if I am speaking to them with "proper vocabulary" they still choose to incorporate some form of Ebonics to feel like they are connecting with me. I call BS. I jokingly say things with my friends but for a complete stranger to refer to me as "girlfriend" or "homegirl" or any of the sort, is racist in my opinion. Not cool.

YES, racisim and the evils thereof will ALWAYS exist, but just like in Domestic Violence, the only person who can overcome victimization is the person who chooses to change their own mindset. Hmmm, you can just mock this up to ignorance, because its the easiest way to reply to what I am going to say, but here goes. While I completely agree with the point about the confederate flag, and many other points in this video, there are certain things which just sound like complete bullshit to me. "You love everything we produce, but you don't love the people producing it". I love hiphop, and I love many hiphop artists, but can you deny that there is a huge anti-cop culture motivating young black people to commit crime? You can't just mock it all up to racism as the reason why we incarcerate so many black males. They are disproportionately involved in criminal activities. You want to fix racism? Start from within instead of blaming everyone around you. I am just doing what this video suggests, and not sugar-coating the issue. Also, people talking about a group of people behind their back? Black people do that shit all the time, its just human nature to be cautious of someone different. Lead by example instead of pointing fingers at people who've been supporting you and saying that we don't do enough. Fuck your, "safe space". There has never been a time in history where segregation did anything positive. You can have an intellectual safe space, and not a physical one, its guaranteed to you by the constitution in form of freedom of speech. Yes, there are institution in this country that favor white people, and we should work to fix that, but this safe space nonsense is not how you progress intellectually as a culture.

Ugh.... Call me crazy or whatever, but I live in the south. Like the country south, where majority of white people are. I have only experience racism by a white person once. Only once. But while growing up, I was picked on by black kids because I talked "white" (proper) and also because I didn't act "ghetto" and paid attention/kinda quiet in class. Like... Smh. I don't know. Even now that I'm older, I experience no racism by cops or white people. To me, white people are super friendly! I can walk in the street and a random white person will say hey or something. But when I see a black person (mostly women) I get an eyeroll or something. Like whaaaat? Idk, I thought I was black, but black people (most) are super rude to me!! Lol. Like what did I do? I mean, not every black person has experience racism from white people. In my life, it's been mostly black people. I grew up with white friends and I must say, most of them are cool. And I grew up with some black people too, and they are okay too. I guess what I'm trying to say is, some of black people will never experience racism from white people. Everyone is different, you know? Maybe it depends on the area you live in or the people you're around. Some people say I have even experience "black privilege"... Lol. But idk. I'm just gonna live my life, not worried about the color of my skin anymore. Life is too short.

I am not racist, but I respect the right for some people not to want to mingle with other people. It is called free choice. Many times it is about culture and upbringing. Also I have encountered a lot more black racist people than white. You have a lot more black schools and colleges in US and nobody calls them racist. This is what I believe, do not impose yourself where you are not wanted. There are white groups that would not accept me so I do not impose myself, there are also black and I do not impose myself on them.
@seanlamont8501

+Milen Stoyanov The reason there are black colleges is because once upon a time blacks weren't allowed to attend public universities (segregation). When you say "do not impose yourself..." that is classified as segregationist ideology, something that I would have hoped died out half a century ago. Its a shame so many business owners think the way you do, and thus hire the minimum number of minorities. It's a shame that so many good doctors think the way you do, so do not practice and teach in minority communities. Its a shame so many lawyers think the way you do, so they do not represent black men and women in court. It is a shame so many politicians think the way you do, so continue to support a system that does not "impose itself" on the best interests of all peoples. Finally, when you have to preface an argument with "i'm not racist, but..." you might want to rethink what your saying. Maybe go get some minority friends on Facebook and run it by them first. Oh wait, I forgot, you don't want to be an imposition. If I decided I didn't want to impose on white people, I wouldn't have a job, a car, a degree, health insurance, this soda that i'm drinking, etc... Just think about it, and I"d be more than happy to be imposed upon if you want a black friend.

Hello Sean, thank you for the response. I appreciate your comment. Just so you know, all my roommates are black, and I am the only white guy in the whole house. I like and mingle with all races. But I have also realized that people are people no matter their race. And they will have their differences. All I am saying is that trying to force someone to like you will only make you dislike them even more. But is is a sad reality that racism exists, and on both ends of the spectrum. Only God can help people with that issue.

2:35 the confederate flag has historical documentation that it was never built on racism the southern states broke away to protect the agricultural industry in the south because the North was pushing industrialized ideals on them and according to the constitution the people have the rights to break away from a failing governmental system without fear of persecution and the North marched down here and started a war then they win it and throw the blame of the war upon the South and that to me is why the South will break away again is because they again and again keep failing the people of the US with failed policies such as Obamacare and whatnot so take that into account.

I believe talking about it is okay, but also that talking about it often courses the issue. It lets people believe that we're different or even makes blacks see whites as racist and eventhough they are the ones feeling abused don't show equal rights. Possible living in Europe shows how their are cultural differences also among white people and that's the only difference between races. Myself as a white woman, do feel affended when people call whites racist. I don't referre to race and usually wouldn't identify as white. This possibly also has a lot to do with my multicultural and ethnic background despite being White. People need to understand that whites aren't better than blacks but some understand this as blacks in reality being better than whites or treating whites as if they are treated as garbage. Haha okay who cares anyways sorry I'm really into writing😉

Okay, I will start calling out racism by calling out this video, which is racist. This video is ignorant and racist. Here we go: - Danielle assumes the apartment is no longer for rent because of her race. She chooses to see it this way without any evidence that race was the deciding factor. This is an objective assumption. - Bibal is afraid of police pulling him over. This has nothing to do with race because police are not all white. He assumes they are white because they are police and assumes he will be pulled over only for being black. This is a racist generalization and assumption. - Marisa thinks culture in media is racist. She thinks that it is shaping black culture when it is actually a representation of the culture. This is an ignorant claim. - Kijani thinks he has seen fear in people because of his race. This is another objective assumption with no proof or evidence that race was even a factor or that fear was present. - Saniyka is also afraid of the police officers that keep his streets clean. He thinks a police officer will pull him over for being black and then arrest or beat him up for being black. These are fears invoked in people through racist movements like "Black Lives Matters" that use gross generalizations without presence of actual statistics to make people feel like all white police officers are racist and out to get them. - Rania assumes her boss was speaking a certain way because it is similar to a culture of which Rania is from. This is an objective assumption. - 1:51 - 1:55 claims that racism against him for being black interferes with his ability to provide for his family with no examples. He says nothing to convince the viewer or to help understand. This is what the "Victim Card" looks like - saying you're a victim with no examples. - 1:56 - 2:13 claims that it is racist for white people to talk about black people in an objective manner - even though that is exactly what she and everyone else in this video is doing - talking about white people in an objective manner. Why are you doing it if it's so racist? - Ashley is blaming an entire race of white people for the failures of an entire race of black people. This is a huge generalization with no examples or proof that white people are causing failures. She also claims that police officers (even black ones?) are in her neighborhood because they all assume more black people means more crime. This is an objective assumption. I'm going to stop here. I'm half way into the video and have already found 4 objective assumptions, 2 racist statements, and 3 ignore claims. This video is ignorant and racist.

It saddens me that after 50 years Martin Luther King and other Activists fought for our civil rights we are still dealing with racism now. An interracial military, a mixed black and white president, I thought we came so far, but no, as a nation and a people, we're more divided then ever. I can't hate someone for having more or less pigments then I do. Living in the military I had all sorts of friends from different walks of life, I didn't see color, I saw a friend, all wonderfully different, joking around, talking about girls, chilling on a Saturday playing video games. I feel having this "us against them" mentality is pushing us backwards, all this hate can be a double edge sword, I think it can be toxic. However I do agree we need to take down and re order/rebuild oppressive establishments, like the police, banks, apartments, perception,it's up to us to change these negatives, that bring people down. I say it begins with the police, they have a long way to go before they can have our public trust again. Fire and prosecute bad cops, and set up a system that rewards good behavior and honest reporting. Gosh do we have a long way to go, the war for civil rights never ended.

I am mixed. My mother in 100% white and my father is an immigrant from Matanzas, Cuba with Afro Cuban roots. My skin color is tan and I have long, curly, typical Hispanic hair. I was raised around my mom's side of the family (white and southern). I identify more with my white side and culture but I am very proud of my Cuban and MIXED culture. Here in the US is one of the few countries in the world that choose to SELF SEGREGATE the races. In Cuba, being Afro-Cuban or of Spanish descendant doesn't matter! Just like most people are colorblind in places like the Dominican Republic, BRAZIL, South Africa, Russia, Northern Africa, the Philippines, and all through the Caribbean. Throughout history, these countries around the world have had different races imported because of slavery but over generations, have moved PAST the race division. I almost totally denounce any trace of my black race by the standards of the USA because I am almost embarrassed of the black culture we see today. My white, SOUTHERN family doesn't see me differently because of my tanned skin tone, They know who I am and how I was raised. Only until I moved out of my hometown and into a region which was 60% black, did I experience any type of racial hatred or rudeness. Apart from being raised in a white culture, the hate I have experienced and the ghetto culture you see alive today, has turned me away. I am a firm believer that all of the self segregation of races and cultures needs to go because you can't "fight for equality" then contradict yourself. I love who I am, White, Cuban, all of it!

race, the word, the meaning has been wrongly use.I am French, old, bold, glasses and fat, and my English suckin my text, there is lot of "if", sorryif we admit human are animals (the ultimate predator), in the animal kingdom, only animals from the same race can reproduce.a cat and a dog, nothing, a cow and a horse, nothing,....... (please don't show me your ecxpection.. there is only 2)a white woman and black man, it works, babies.so we are all from the same race.fact....on a personal interpretation, human, king of predator, have beliefs, all kind of beliefs,base on personal thoughts, other people beliefs,....One of the most powerful beliefs, is first impression, at that moment of first impression , all your belief are working together, because we think we know just by looking.Then people will spend as long as possible to make things works that there first impression is right,so many people never realise there neighbours was a psycho, just because there first impression was good.so many people married people base on first impression, live 5 years together, and bitterly admit they were wrong and divorce.First impression is based on beliefs, marketing is making the most of it, and there good at that.so when someone met a fat bold man with glasses in the in the street .there inner beliefs are at works. (unhealthy, no gym, clever, old,....)then when the fat bold man with glasses speak English with strong French accent. (paris, holidays, food, wine...)they modulate there beliefs, but don't change, just attach a new wagon of belief on the first impression locomotive.then when the French man say he work in restaurant, they modulate, and add more wagon.( must be a chef)then the French man say he work on the floor as a old waiter, ( more belief)then the French man say he work with the wines in the restaurant(new beliefs)they have absolutely no idea who I am, they haven't listen, just create a train, they will protect to make sure there beliefs are right.The king of predator hate differences, that is his only belief, everything different is challenging his beliefs, and he will fight to the end to prove he is right.let lower our pretentions, lets learn to lower the "i am right", lets listen and say "sorry I was wrong",I have learn so much from other people,lets kill first impression that work in the back of your mind unconsciously, let forget the primate inside, lets give people many chances.my moto" I have learn so much by making mistakes, I am exited about the new one I will make" I am not sure that everything I say make senses.

You guys need to learn the history of the confederate flag it was never about just slavery in fact the civil war wasn't mainly even about slavery. Look at it this way the north also had slaves just as much as the south did so it wasn't about slavery. And also the governor for the north had slaves by the way and the governor for the south didn't lol it was just his wife. You guys think that the confederate flag was about hatred but it was never meant to be like that. And yeah it was used for racism by people that actually didn't like blacks not by the government not by the people whos soles are dedicated to that flag. The united states Flag is just as much harm as the confederate flag. You guys are embarrassing yourself as black individuals (I'm black to) by not knowing your History. Haha it's like in america when one man does it every man in that region or ethnic or group have to be blamed for example Gun Laws because a couple people shot some schools down so you want to take it away from everyone..... Confederate Flag you guys got mad at it just because some random ass guy shot down a blacks Church that's not right..... 911 seriously we have done more to the middle east than they have done to us not everyone of them are terroist. Like come on that's like saying that black people should be kicked out because theirs a drive by everyday caused by a black individual. Dont get me wrong theres racism but i hate it when people say the confederate flag is for hatred and racism no its history of the south, Jeez ya'll need to know your history civil war wasn't about slavery only a little tiny itty bitty part was and confederate flag is not a hatred flag.

Isaac Clardy you lost all credibility when you said the "north had just as many slaves as the south." because at the dawn of the civil war slavery in the north was almost non-existent also the people who designed the confederate flag were known racists and even admitted that they believed blacks were inferior to whites and were fighting mainly for the rights to own black bodies

Anslem Romero haha you don't know what your saying are you serious right now back then everyone was racist even the blacks and there is no proof of the people who made the confederate flag hated blacks and no proof at all about what you just said and also there were slaves in the north just as much as south read your books not the internet.... confederate flag was used by racist people who hated blacks but only a fraction that was really small look back on the KKK the photographs of them back then used the united states flag more than the confederate im talking back then right now there being idiots and there not a threat anymore so learn your history plz it might help by reading a book LOL

Isaac Clardy well I'm black American and I'll tell you that there is proof you simply have to look it up..why would Abraham Lincoln declare the emancipation proclamation if there were just as many slaves in the north as the south..why would my ancestors run to the north from the south if they were only to face the same slavery there..use your brain. The Confederate Flag means nothing to me but trying to sweep its dirty history under the rug by saying only a few racists used it is false and also makes you a despicable human being you're truly what it means to be an uneducated black person defending the very people that would've back then had you whipped and beaten for knowing how to read and write our race needs less ppl like you
@isaacclardy3442
@isaacclardy3442 9 жыл бұрын
Anslem Romero that's your problem you think the internet is always right and I'm educated I read from actual books if you read Lincoln didn't care about slavery he could've of giving 2 shits tbh he didn't do it because of just slavery and are you serious right now your gonna pull the ancestor card the blacks are the only ones that do that for some reason you didn't go through it and you don't know anything about it you can't proof it and your also wrong order a book online seriously it's the number one thing that people forget that the civil war wasn't actually about slavery and it wasn't about hatred against blacks either. And back to the ancestor thing do you know who sold the slaves when white men or European men came to Africa....... The African people they sold there own people just to get money so whites weren't the ones that started slavery....... So our ancestors before the ones that had to do the slave part but at the same time our ancestors were selling us lol what a history lesson and also not only blacks were slaves there were native American, whites, Irish, Mexican haha so what's your stupid response than

isaac clardy u are literally the dumbest human ever to believe that but you can hold the views you hold I'm just surprised that another black person thinks this...you must not be American to believe the garbage that you do. Do me a favor and read up on your history not a bigoted right wing news pamphlet about slavery but actual history because any authentic history book will tell you that. Also about the ancestor thing. I do know it because its documented. Be smart that was a poor choice of words you weren't alive it didn't happen to you so you don't know blah blah blah Italians weren't alive during the renaissance..it didn't happen to them but i think they are very well aware of it and what happened that's why there's history so we don't forget..and no Irish nor Mexicans were considered slaves maybe indentured servants early on. Fun fact Mexicans were considered white until up to WW1

+Joshua The Science god The president is half white, however he has never been treated or perceived as such by society. There is a large portion of the electorate who still believes that he is a Muslim immigrant. Now, if this man were not biracial, do you think his religion and place of birth would be an issue? Speaking of reading, Obama has actually written about his biracial/black experience....
