We got more in common then we think. 1. Hard working 2. Good food 3. Family values 4. With enough drinks in them Asians party hard
@beetafly2

Yeah you have so much in common that sometimes you all just look the same. Asians tend to be with the groups that are most similar to them in terms of physical traits. That's why Asians and black relationships are not that popular. When white guys steal all the Asian girls then Asian guys will go for Latin girls because they are the most similar to Asians when compare to whites and blacks. It's a socioeconomic status thing too. Also if you ever watch Asian films like some Chinese and Thai, you will notice that the guy looks super mongoloid but the girl looks super Eurasian/ Latin........So therefore you are influence by what you see.

I am Mexican born and raised, my husband is Chinese American and we have been married for almost 10 years very happily very intense, there is a lot contrast in our personalities yes but there is also a lot of passion. Specifically, Chinese can be very passionate in life and intense in how they love and live so that matches me perfectly. I just have had to polish it a bit for my husband to be more mellow, more empathetic, and to take more risks. Our biggest difference is food!! In the daily over the years it has become a bit of an issue, although I love all asian cuisines and he loves Mexican food we both can't have it everyday and dont naturally crave it as often each other's food so it has been a bit of a challenge after year 6 at least we noticed it more. And well many other differences, but overall, we are extremely happy and in love equally and still crazy about each other. I highly highly recommend this combination❤

I'm latino, in college I dated a Japanese woman. We had tons of fun, but we broke up because the school year ended and she traveled back to Japan. A few years later I married my wife, a white woman. Culturally, we clicked quite a bit, and it was awesome seeing how we interacted, and how our preferences in TV really brought us together initially. (Not anime, but soap operas) my mom watched a lot of them, and one of her favorites was about a Japanese woman and her life through WWII, that was dubbed to Spanish.

I am a Dominican women and I date a Chinese man. I am the one that comes from the family that pushes to study hard and I became a doctor. My boyfriend’s family cares for studying but they are more lay back on studying than my family. He and I are both the more open minded and thinkers of each others families. I am more expressive with emotions with big personality and he has a very peaceful soul and calm demeanor. We were both raced thought with such similar family values, core caring values, which you didn’t mentioned in the video and I think is what helps these Asian/Latin couples work so well.

It's interesting, because even though I live in California it was still kind of uncommon to see Asian and Latino couples. Now I hear it's becoming a little more known. Being Mexican American and with my Japanese wife would sometimes get stares when we would come back to visit the states. Our son even looks more Japanese than Mexican, his hair is super dark lol. He also does have some Mexican traits like enjoying carne asada, Mexican rice, tortillas, and horchata lol. I definitely would have never guessed growing up in South Central, L.A. that my life would have led me to Japan and meeting my beautiful girl from Fukushima, Japan.

Triple G kids I say, I think maybe it depends more on the Mexican Side bro if your more native Mexican than your kids will look more Asian. For myself my family is really mix on my parents side Great grandma was a African from Senegal and my great grandfather half Spanish and half British and part native on my mother side, and my dad side their mix with Arab and native and French and Dutch and central Asian. i found this video very interesting because I’m mexican-american (both parents are mexican same as my grandparents on both sides and i was born in jersey) but i have always been mistaken as another nationality, as a baby my mom would get asked if the dad was korean or asian. I’m now older and still get asked what i am by other people-even other asians. I’ve heard that i look somewhat japanese or korean, and other people have asked if I’m native american/indian (because of my cheek bones). Funny enough, my boyfriend is viet, and he has been asked if he’s mexican or filipino, not to mention, he would much rather date a latina than an asian, as for me im the same - i have always been attracted to asians without realizing it until i got older. In elementary school i had a crush on a chinese boy and in movies I usually liked the asian actors… jackie chan movies were my fave. In middle school i had a friend group of mainly asian friends and one other latina, and in middle and high school i usually had a crush on a boy that was asian or latinos that looked “asian.” When my bf first introduced me to his family i thought they wouldnt be so accepting of me but when i went over, i noticed that they had hispanic friends over lol. When it came to meeting his grandma though, I really thought she would be opposed to the idea of him dating a mexican, because when he told her he was dating the first question she asked was “is she asian?” and he responded with “no, she’s mexican.” either way i met her and she accepted me 😭 she always compliments me and feeds me (thats’s how ik she loves me) She’s even asked when we’re getting married lol another thing to mention is that i have 3 sisters (im the second oldest) and a brother. some people think my sisters and i look nothing alike while others can see the resemblance. although my dad was Mexican and so were his parents, his 2 brothers also had the same thing going on (i never thought they all looked alike regardless of having the same parents) omg im getting sidetracked, but one of my dad’s brother took like a dna test years ago and turns out he had some mongolian in him. Well, my dad never took a dna test but i think that’s got something to do with why we all look so different. coincidentally he also had a korean friend (according to my mom) in korean theres a phrase that’s commonly used 빨리 빨리 (hurry hurry or quickly) and my dad would go around using it on us 😂 i never knew it was a different language but i knew what he meant

1st gen chinese-mexican here. Growing up I had difficulty identifying to either side. I dont look fully one way or the other, but most people say i look more chinese. However, mexican culture was dominant in my household. As a result, i wasnt fully accepted by asian groups bc i lacked the language and culture, nor by latino groups bc i didnt look latino enough. This wasnt originally a point of discomfort for me until some bullies told me i have no cultural identity. Then it really made me think hard about it and question my own identity. It didnt feel good. But now im beginning to feel comfort in my own mixed identity, where i can be both even if its not 100% one way. I can also count on one hand the other latino-asians ive met in my life but im glad to hear we are the fastest growing group in CA. I hope to find latino-asians groups/communities to meet so we can have our own discussions!

I'm happy for this newer generation, the M/F ratio is going to continue to be more even and fair for younger Asian men in America to be able to date outside their race. 1. Latinos are going to continue to become the majority population in America. 2. The two groups are having children that are growing up together in the same communities; eventual dating between the two groups will continue to become more common. I'm 47 and when I was in High School, there were Asians and Latinos I knew that were married with mixed race children, but we still had a lot of racial tension between the two groups. Most ethnic groups wanted to stay within their own and my dating options were limited to other Asians. One challenge for my generation was for Asian men to be seen as being normal and datable instead of a caricature full of stereotypes. Although this challenge may still be faced by the younger generation of Asian men today, I can see such barriers are becoming less as more Asian men and Latin women become open to dating each other.

(Doesn't hurt as well that I've read books and watched videos on Latin America, have worked in a job with many Latinos, and am open in general.) More often than not, there are many similarities rather than differences. (There are differences and tensions as Fred alluded to). I think it’s just your wish to connect to Latinos, but you don’t really connect just on the basis that your country was a trading post for Spain/MexicoCity. I'm Filipina dating an Argentine guy. Just saying rn, Latino refers to the Latin American cultures. My boyfriend is white as hell lmao. His dna 23 and me results back that up. So if we have kids, they're gonna be wasian.

I like to think I coined the term "Filitino/Filatina" loll. I'm filipino and Honduran. But pretty mixed on the Latina side, so I ended up with red hair. I never thought too much about it growing up, but it's honestly fun when people try to guess your ethnicity.

🇸🇻Salvadorans recently became the 3rd largest Hispanic group in the U.S, replacing Cubans for the first time ever. In California, Salvadorans are the second largest latino group in the state, while in Washington DC, Salvis are the largest Hispanics in the city overall

Salvi here. That's wonderful but maybe a little irrelevant given the video. I'm from the East coast though, and here I am starting to see more Salvis marrying Vietnamese and Koreans to some extent. Anyhow, wasn't meant to be a diss but just wanted to point it out.

@@JanusXAlvarenga I was commenting on the video which is saying that the Latino and Asian communities are the fastest growing in the U.S...that is why im pointing out that Salvis have grown in population. And im Salvi from the west coast... specifically LA, where latinos and asians are the largest immigrant groups. In California its very common to see Salvadoran and Filipinos marriages. Also the Korean and Salvadoran communities are right beside each other in Los Angeles
