I've been playing this game for almost 15 years now and still love it. Def the best game for me. Tried FighterZ and Xenovers and while they are not bad games, they are just not for me. This game captures the heart and soul of Dragon Ball the best and I really enjoy playing it.

Despite all the DBZ games that have come out over the years, BT1 intro has remain the best and most unique DBZ intro, no debate whatsoever. BT2 and BT3 in my opinion still remains the most Unique and the best DBZ games in terms of content, quality and fanservices. And from the gameplay perspective aspects, these DBZ games that I mentioned are very close to the anime itself because of the Vibe and Charm, I don't know how to describe it but it was, and still is the most Unique DBZ experience you could have with the combat factor. (- Sheer amount de of characters - Transformations mid-battle (powering up and down) - Fusions mid-battle - Fast gameplay that has that "woah" feel - Tons of extra content - Story mode covering all sagas + movies - What If sagas - Shenron having permanent impact on game (character unlocks and whatnot) - Great tournaments that rotate availability - Edit characters with items (buffs) - 5v5 battles - Really Great and Epic Soundtracks - Destroyable environments - Entire stages could be blown up into their "destroyed" alternatives - Mission 100 being a great challenge - Artwork is 10/10 - Sound effects are great - Combat feels heavy and satisfying) Only Budokai 3, Infinite World and the Raging Blast 1 and 2 and all of PSP DBZ games are still considered also very solid DBZ games, also the hidden gem that a lot of DBZ fans missed from PS2 Era of DBZ games is "Super Dragon Ball Z" which is also a real Unique and DBZ game, especially for the different gameplay aspects perspective. ✌☯️

I hope Tenkaichi 4 keeps the speed and skill ceiling of T3

To be honest, I can kind of see why it is popular. I am 21 so I wasn't quite born early enough to truly experience this game but from what I can gather, many of the characters were clones of each other with different skins but that didn't matter due to the game being packed with features for the combat or outside combat. Games like Xenoverse 2 or Fighterz are pretty good, but they miss out on a lot of smaller features that seem to add up into making Budokai so beloved, whether it was beam struggles, customization of characters or intense fighting that didn't feel like you were spamming a certain combo string over and over. Budokai Tenkaichi 4 has been announced to be coming in the future, so I can't wait to see if it lives up to that nostalgia that so many see in it when combined with the polish that modern games now aspire to.

I agree I tried fighter z but I didn't really enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed dbz t3. In terms of gameplay, I enjoyed t3 but in terms of story t2 is better. But I like both t2 and t3

Agreed with this video totally, dbfz is a great videogame, with great details about the original source, but its still a standard 2d fighter with dragon balls characters. while budokai also has great details, in more quantity, and the gameplay actually feels like a dragon ball fight

If there were too many forced filler fights, if only 3 would've just polished 2's overworld story approach. Because it is definitely a better idea and more immersive than just a chapter select.

Idk about it being the best I’m stuck between fighterz and kakarot for the best budokai tekaichi 3 flopped on story when 2 mastered it but 3 is a classic though you guys are gonna blow up

I've played BT3 and BT2 as well I love BT3 for their details in the game and both are not that bad looking in graphics compared to how old they are but still I wold like to play more on BT2 the story mode and the final form of enemies is quite interesting when it comes to unlocking it. But still BT3 is first love since I played it before BT2

One thing that made it amazing was the freedom it gave you. If you wanted your opponent to the left, simply smack his ass by aiming to the left and he’d fly that way. If you then decided he should be on the ground, with the same move you could appear behind him while he was flying and smack him on the ground. With other dbz games it was very much, go to your opponent, do a combo which the game has already predetermined for you and the opponent flies in the direction the combo decides he flies in. The combat feels on rails for other dbz games, while for this one you truly feel like a dbz character.

I love TK3 but i do love the Kakarot Game aswell because it is open World and playing the whole Story (more or less). You feel free and its amazing to just explore the World. Yeah it maybe lacks a bit of the Combat System but its just awesome because i feel like playing through the wonderful Memories from my Childhood.

Technically, I think shin Budokai 2 is the most skilled based og DBZ game. It has the refined combat of infinite world which makes it very skill based. But Tenkaichi 3 is hands down the best DBZ sim fighter. Idk if that makes sense

As someone who was born in 2023 I can say that I would do anything to go back to the old days when I was younger to enjoy all the am things we had back then before covid and enjoy my childhood again when I was playing halo 2 and dbz bt3 and watching dbz on adult swim and not have a care in the world

This is my favorite game of all time, the only game im actually good at and know a few competitive techs. And it isn't because i liked DBZ, because when i first played it i knew absolutely nothing. I thought that Piccollo was the only villain and that he had saibaman as henchmen, and the whole anime was about Goku against Piccollo.

While It is really easy to "combo", it is as easy to deny and punish your opponent.

I don’t get why people think Raging Blast 2 is inferior to this. It has less characters, but at least they all feel unique and not a copy and paste. Also has some unique characters not in any other dbz game. Best 3D dbz combat by far I think.

It's great don't get me wrong a classic but I think FighterZ is way better as well as the Raging Blast series and even Kakarot if they added a huge roster like Budokai Tenkaichi 3 in Raging Blast 2 it would've been the overall better game. I think the Raging Blast series has better gameplay than the Budokai Tenkaichi Series but has more and better characters. I do think its better than the Xenoverse games tho. I'd put it in the top 5 but not the best.

BT3 is a great db game, but for me personally the Budokai3/infiniteworld will always be the definitive dragonball game(s). i belived b3 was able to capture an almost perfect balance of a legit fighting game and dragonball game.

This is THE Dragon Ball game for me. Xenoverse has potential but it's still got a long way to go. Fighterz is a fun competitive game but you can only capture so much from Dragon Ball in that format of game. And Kakarot is a fun open world but combat feels very limited. But Budokai Tenkaichi 3 just feels excellent. Not perfect but almost there

Personally xenoverse 2 takes the cake for me of best dragon ball games
