Here's an idea for bumper skin. Make pillars coming up at front of frame. Fabricate a brush guard with pillars coming up from frame used as top mount and frame as lower mount. This will allow you a place to mount skin without cutting frame and use something to hide 3" gap.

Rich, can you give us an update on Steven? As a person with permanent back damage who once worked enormously long hours 7 days a week as a fabricator I worry about him. I still get work done, but the progress was glacial at first, and I've never got back to my previous level of productivity. I really hope Steven heals well, and I can say from personal experience that even with a destroyed disc, I did manage to claw back from the abyss and get productive again. Just needed a comfortable seat to rest and recline in from time to time. I was even able to go for hikes with my dog again, which is my favourite thing to do.

Yeah I think I would have just sliced it in half and added another foot. This would have allowed for the trans tunnel. The only thing you would have to do is custom make the back seat yet at this point I think I would fab them up as a 4 matching front seats. Add an extra foot or 2 to the lenght and you have that foot area. This is not super hard to do and I am sure there are people that have done it. Really if one would just build the frame first in its configurations and then build 2 interior frames so that once you cut and pull them apart you will be able to fab up and add back in what is needed. Since you have the frame done you have a clear idea as to how and where the center tunnel goes. I have always wanted to take a standard 50s truck and just make it 8' wide so that a flat bed does not look out of place. 4 door with 4 full size seats and a bench seat behind. Along with a 6 inch custom raised roof which houses full 360 degree wrap around led lights with fresh air intake scoops along with the full roof with solar panels to keep your quad battery charged. I can keep going for ever as how to make a really nice custom truck.

Rich you are always funny, entertaining, and interesting. I love that you do many of these videos just because "you can" and for us to enjoy. There are channels here that "Rebuild and Rescue" Airplanes and they beg for money and claim to be doing it all for charity work as nothing ever really gets done and the money comes rolling in. But people see through that over time and in the case I mentioned the viewers went down 90% in a year. Again. Thanks for the fun videos and ALWAYS keepin' it real!
