SNG's team of Amitabh P. Revi, Rohit Pandita, and Karan Marwaha documented their journey to Leh on the strategic third, alternate axis-the Darcha-Padam-Nimu (NPD) Road, in episode III and episode IV. The route provides critical connectivity for defence logistics to and civilian
development around the Northern China-occupied Tibet border or Line of Actual Control (LAC), the Line of Control (LoC), and the Actual Ground Position Line (AGPL) in Siachen with Pakistan. It is shielded from both the India-China border and the frontier with Pakistan, unlike the other two axes. StratNews Global's team travels during the fourth winter of India's forward deployment post Xi Jinping's aggression that led to the deadly Galwan clashes in 2020. The freezing temperatures highlight one of the several challenges the BRO faces in recce-ing, tracing, drilling through the mighty ranges, and building black-top roads on this route. India's infrastructure development has seen a sustained thrust, especially after China's People's Liberation Army (PLA) salami-slicing tactics in border areas.

It is very difficult for the indians to build infrastructure along LAC not because of weather or land forms but the wrong government policy of not wanting to develop anything near tibetan border for more than 50 years.😂

4000sq.km land grabbed by China 🇨🇳.india should prepare well .must acquire more chinooks and Apache choppers .

Indians had been giving all types of excuses not to develop or delay infrustructures development along LAC. Among the major excuses are terrible land forms, extreme weather, environment issues and what not. But the chinese had built high speed trains, roads, bridges, tunnels , power stations , 5G internet and up to last mile road access to the frontier in the tibetan frontier😂

Compare topography on indian side to Chinese side , Tibetan plateau is flat land, ours is 500km wide chain mountains

@@Red.bulldozer3 are you an idiot or what ? 2020 was 4 years ago, only one indian army division and a few border police units guarded that area , today India has 5 divisions in the same area. China has no hope, it's easy to reach from their side because their terrain is flat

Why BRO is applauded so much I don't understand. BRO built roads get washed out every monsoon. All the do is cut the mountain and pave the track. There are no embacments, no support, no drainage, no anti rubble nets. Nothing. They are just glorified mule tracks that get washed out after every winter. BRO is just much ado about nothing. Chinese infra along the border is 100 times better.
