When Rafa, Roger, and Novak retire I think we all are going to go through tennis withdrawal. Even those who think that they don’t like these guys, are going to feel some depression when they leave the sport.

Honestly, with all these next gen players I don't see the ferocity or the desire to win or even the same amount of talent as the big three. If not the quantity of talent, we haven't seen specific traits that define them (a bump you could say). For example, Novak's court coverage and return, Fed's net game and Nadal's baseline play.

The secret is their fitness. Nasal and djokovic can go all day all week long for 2 weeks and that’s why they’re the best. The next gen gets tired after one match

I think it also has to do with their mental games... oh and Nadal's 500000000000 rpm topspin.. and Djok returns.. and Federers everything...

*Unpopular Opinion:* they lack the dedication and the passion to win that the Big 3 have. Even as they approach mid-30s and 40s for Federer, their passion to win more slams is still there. NextGen to me seem more interested on being rich and famous on social media than putting in the hours to become champions. They love the attention and they fight each other on social media over the tiniest things. It's no wonder they are weak mentally in matches and fall apart against the Big 3 in grand slams.

Tennis is a mental game. If u never won a slam and facing someone who has won as many slams as them you are already at a huge disadvantage. Medical technology, science etc has prolonged their careers creating these freaks of nature. They have played in so many big moments, so much experience that these young players just can’t compare. The 3 are exceptional but sometimes I feel people forget about the science/medical side and don’t realize that a few will capitalize during this transition period on tennis.

Cool story...he also forgot to mention they need an actual talent in order to do that, they have none... Tsitsipas has one of the wackiest inconsistent backhand one-handers i have ever seen in addition to being atrocious during return games (especially when playing against an opponent with great and consistent serve!) Rublev just smashes the ball into the court brainlessly over and over again and thus runs out of fuel fast...(outside of his powerful strokes he got anothing special, that would help him improve...) Medvedev tries too hard to be mini-Djokovic, but hasn’t got actual weapons to back it up (outside of consistent return of serves again, he got nothing!) Zverev is all about serve serve serve...just another servebot with occasional big forehands during rallies... The only next-gen, that does look like he has something truly special about him is Sinner, but even he is inconsistent as hell (at least he has some actual talent...as for skills - they’ll improve the more he plays obviously...) However it will take a couple of seasons before Sinner will be a factor at grand slams, for now it’s all about Djokodal for a couple of seasons more beating next gen over and over again...

Every goat argument is just the same as the Micheal jordan vs lebron james. They say its lebron because he is still playing at his age compared to jordan when they are the same age and has better statistics. But still jordan is what they call different like roger . According to jordan in his interview which you can search on KZfaq when debating about the goat. He says " the impact of that person on the sport is the or who has the most impact" im never in a million years that Djokovic's impact will be beter than roger😉 and also he said in the interview that "it is unfair to compare someone on the wins they make and the slams that they have or mvp because they did not play on the same eras. They did not faced the same opponent 100% of their career. Which makes sense imagine if novak was born on the era of Federer, rackets were stiffer, strokes where different, playing styles , Wimbledon was faster and it focused more on technique and big serves compared to now it is more on fitness and being a grinder which is unfair because that is djokovics natural playing style and roger is not. Roger could have been the most superior in the era of sampras and himself. Just imagine how dangerous would a stefan edberg be or a sampras with a wilson v7( just an example that the next gen racket matters) djokovic would not do well honestly if he was born on those era . And that is why he is a just lucky person that tennid changed for him. And lastly i dont belive that you losers , who achieved nothing with your worthless lives, have a better philosophy than jordan period

It’s impossible to know, since they all are relatively similar age which means they never had to play each other at dramatically different ages. They are really the only main competition for each other, and thus if they all age together it’s impossible to know. I do think Djokovic peaked later than the other 2, but it could just perhaps be once he reached his prime the other two weren’t as good, rather as their form dropping.

@@rag7027 2 points (1) safin/hewit/roddick were major winners but not the current opponnents of big3 except big3 themselves. which is weaker era? (2) if big3 were of same age and debuted together, roger wouldn't have won 16 majors in 6.5 years, but as djoker said (his game improved due to rafa n roger) roger's game wud've been much better than how it is now (technic, mental), and so roger too wud be winning few slams now and wudn't allow djoker to clean sweep. Wim19F roger was the dominant player with 6 years age gap, even though he lost due to not having the same level of mental strength as Djoker. I am basically saying it is unfair to Roger to call his winning years as weaker era as if he is some useless player.

I agree, Roger is a freak of nature, just like Nole and Rafa. Had the other 2 never played in the same era as Roger, Roger would already have close to 30 GS by now. Having said that, I still think Noñe would dominate the sport if the trio started at the exact same time. Nole's adaptation to go from good to almost unbeatable is unmatched. Sooner than later he would have adapted to Rafa and Roger more precocious talent.
