What colors work for you also depends on your skin color and tone. There's an old book Color for Men that goes into some detail on this. I did a color analysis and it was really interesting. Working on a half finished product for this that helps with color matching.

I love Nordstrom, probably my go-to store, although it is pricey. But the entire shopping experience there is always great, as you mentioned they have tailors, items on the website always has videos showcasing the item, & large variety of styles. This could just be my city's location, but they even have a in-store cafe, a restaurant, & even their bathrooms are great. Lol

Well if you know color theory if you wear complimenting colors it looks good. It also depends it looks good in anime or illustration art. But it doesn't really look good. If you wear super bright neon colors, it makes you stand out and it looks really flashy and bad. If you want to wear like a really bright color you have to like pair it with something that's not so bright

@@FlyWithJohnnyThaii think it depends on what you’re going for though. If you’re talking about basic streetwear, then yeah. But a lot of Harajuku decora/decora-adjacent styles pair much brighter tones pretty often and it’s a basis of the overall culture. There’s not really a “one fits all” and i think that’s pretty cool, actually.

And a personal tip: Don't dismiss a palette just cause you didn't use it in a way you liked. I personally have this thing where black with very bright or light colors can be very harsh and a bit cold (Which CAN be amazing in it's own way), I'd usually go with a dark mixed gray in it's stead whenever that's the case. However, there's totally cases where I could configure those exact colors with black if I get the balance right, often that means either black or the color becomes a minor accent, and maybe they're not right next to each other, stuff like that. It's even down to the style and kind of piece of clothing you're going for (Pink looks way different on a cute dress vs. baggies), in the end it comes down to exposing yourself to it all and developing your sensibilities.

Awesome video, the color coordination tips were enlightening. I had two questions: 1. Tank tops - I noticed you don't have the ribbed kind, and tanks seem like a great base layer if your fit, but there's also walking that line between being classy and trashy in a tank. What brand and style of tank top do you generally go for? 2. Do you think you could do a video on on more interesting options in the pants/"lower half of the body" world? All I ever see for men are videos about different pant tightness ("you could go skinny, relaxed, wide, baloon!") or a few different types of materials ("you could do jeans OR kahkis OR wool trousers!") and it feels one dimensional and boring compared to myriad of options women have. It would be cool to see a video on how to open up that universe, even if it involves wearing things that, norm wise, are currently only worn by women, even though at the end of the day it's all just different permutations of fabric on one's body).

That light green pants is a bad colour. Other KZfaqr could target you for your style but because you are young and going for the street wear style so they will close one eye since you are on a different league
