Darth Malgus was one of the most brutal Sith to ever live. Therefore, he probably does not come across as the romantic type. However, he was one of the few Sith to fall in love. Malguses lover was a Twii’lek named Eleena Daru, who herself was a formidable warrior. She had been born into slavery on geonosis and was treated terribly by her owner. However, Darth Malgus made the very un-Sith like decision to save her, and the pair soon became lovers. Just before Malgus sacked the Jedi temple, Eleena told Malgus that she wanted to settle down although Malgus rebuked this, stating that his loyalty lay with the Sith Empire. However, in that moment he was apparently struck by her beauty and passionately kissed her. After the sacking of Coruscant, the pair became even closer, and she even began using his birth name, Veradun. However, one day, a Jedi hunted down Eleena, planning on killing her as a way of hurting Malgus. But Eleena explained that there was still good in Malgus although admitted he mistreated her. With the Jedi believing Eleena was a mentally broken individual, her life was spared. But Malgus, sensing his lover was in trouble rushed in, confronting the Jedi. After a long duel, Malgus won. However, he again acted in an un-sith like manner, sparing the Jedis life because the Jedi had spared Eleena’s. Realising he was falling towards the light side because of Eleena, he thrust his lightsaber into her heart, ending the his doomed lovers life.
