Sony and Microsoft etc would have incentive to want to help facilitate partnerships. Likely worth well over 150 mil to those companies worth hundreds of billions and trillions.

Fifa turned it down... EA gave them an offer but they turned it down to try and get double :/ EA doesn't lose much as they have rights to all the leagues. All EA loses is the name for Fifa and world cup. Other than that, nothing changes

@@ysbrandd4908 you realise EAFC has come out with full champions league rights, how does that fit your narrative? The thing you’re not differentiating is jurisdiction vs commercial rights. All the leagues have their own commercial rights such as sponsors, TV broadcast deals, naming rights etc, Fifa has no control over those commercial rights hence why Visa is a premier partner of Fifa yet their biggest competitor Mastercard is the financial partner of UEFA

What international tournaments do you mean? The EUROS _(UEFA)_ or the COPA _(CONMEBOL)_ are played under the roof of Fifa. But they have the license of the UCL, EL and CL. They also have the rights to all big five leagues and many things more. I'm asking myself what's left for PES/Konami? I played PES 5,6 and 2008, on PS2. Back then you had the option to buy a memory card on eBay were someone modified it, so you had basically the same license pack as FIFA. With the Bundesliga and the Premier League, all wearing the original jerseys. And the gameplay was MUCH better than FIFA during that time. Which was scripted through and through! And you could also adjust the controlling settings the way they were at FIFA. Awesome times! I couldn't get my friends to play PES, but I beat them at FIFA all the time, just because of my PES skills. They gave you an advantage.

You should've listened better. They make 33% of their 5.6 billion revenue from FIFA. So, they 1.848 billion from FIFA. Even if they made more, why would you give 300 million to FIFA who just allows you to use those four letters and doesn't provide anything else? How does that make sense to you? Besides that, they made a total of 802 million dollars of profit in 2023. Revenue is sales, profit is what you keep after all the cost you made are subtracted from the revenue. If again 33% of that profit is just from FIFA games, that's a profit of $264.66 million. FIFA says, we want 150 million dollars extra, which means that FIFA will make approximately $100 million dollars of profit per year. That makes zero sense from a business perspective. To explain it easier, FIFA basically told them to give up more than 70% of the money they make from those games just to call those games FIFA.

I think most major football games have been building their name for so long that they are quite known now , a game that would partner with Fifa just to use its name would probably not offer close to that $150million Ea sports was giving Fifa annually . If Konami doesn't partner with Fifa , they have just lost free money, no other football game would offer such an amount

@@carlinytc7431to start a game development team from scratch not only is expensive but takes years, we’re talking 3-5 years for an established studio. For Fifa to set up a studio, recruit game designers, software developers, engineers, etc and then create a brand new game from scratch would probably take 6-8 years

FIFA itself doesn’t actually control licences except for the World Cup, EA have exclusivity deals with most of the top leagues hence why Konami haven’t been able to compete
