This was both fascinating and so overwhelming. I've spent almost 3 years digging myself out of sickness and finding my own answers. I'm working with a functional doctor, a naturopath, and an alternative GI doctor. They would only help in pointing out the issues, but their suggestions didn't bring me complete healing. I feel like I've been trapped in this tornado of symptoms and health issues and despite all the supplements and diet changes (including going on carnivore diet to then transitioning to keto) I still have only moved the needle very slightly and still have Hashimotos, gallbladder sludge and narrowing ducts, SIBO (due to long PPI use) and pancreatic insufficiency, and malnutrition (but yet I'm overweight about 15-20 lbs), gerd and inflammation in my esophagus. It makes sense what Dr. Pompa is saying. Because I feel all the things even he felt. But this seems like it would almost be impossible to achieve. Financially I mean. Most insurances do not cover alternative medicine. I've been paying everything out of pocket. Got my amalgam fillings out through a holistic dentist, got a failed root canal retreatment done, I own a sauna, I don't eat out, don't drink, cook my own food with quality products. It's an absolute uphill battle. Because you're not just battling your own health, but all the other obstacles that are in the way to bettering health. My current obstacle is addressing any mold in the home and figuring out if I can afford to fix it. It is absolutely exhausting!

'carnivore too long, you'll get sick'. 'Keto for too long your body will begin to think it's starving and create inflammation' I would really like this guy to reference ANY studies that point to this. Thanks for a fascinating and enlightening interview Jesse & Dr Pompa. Just to point out that all is not as “chemical free” in Italian agriculture as may be presumed. There are multiple herbicides, pesticides, fungicides and artificial fertilisers still regularly applied to cereal, vegetable, fruit and vine crops…and also to grass / maize animal forage crops in Italy and other parts of Europe. They are more severely restricted by the European Union than in the US…with resultant (on-going) bitter disputes between rule-makers in Brussels and farmers. This romantic notion that we in Europe are somehow free of these industrial-scale artificial agro-chemicals is incorrect.

I went to a biological dentist that propose to remove all of my root canals, and metal fillings ,replace with implants. The cost was over $40,000 and I simply do not have the funds available to do so, at least at this time. I’m 65 years old I have high inflammation and an autoimmune disease, Ankylosing Spondylitis. What can I do at this point to improve this situation or to reduce the cost of that dental work?
@nottoday3666
@nottoday3666 Ай бұрын
This is a huge problem for me only I can't afford the initial root canals & work to begin with. I read from holistic specialists that it's better to lose teeth than get root canals. I don't have the answer to this but it's part of my big problem after a serious car accident that I couldn't collect on in my small lawsuit yrs ago.
@tallcedars2310
@tallcedars2310 Ай бұрын
@@nottoday3666 I agree with the holistic specialtist, just get the teeth removed, maybe get a bridge if possible. My one root canal became infected in 2019 and a small part of my jaw was ground out, thought that would be the end of the infection. In 2021 it came back and I did 10 days of antibiotics. Then again in2024 it came back and I am finishing 3 months of antiobiotics. Root canal infections are fairly common. In our small town a woman died from a brain infection from a root canal. The infection is very subtle, barely noticeable, so infections can get out of control. Posts can also cause infections, avoid both imho. False teeth are a pain, but they can't cause serious infections, etc.

I appreciate the science and research, but... the minute you're peddling any product, you've got a conflict of interest and that's unethical. To quote the responsible conduct of research: A conflict of interest involves the abuse -- actual, apparent, or potential -- of the trust that people have in professionals. The simplest working definition states: A conflict of interest is a situation in which financial or other personal considerations have the potential to compromise or bias professional judgment and objectivity. Even if everything you're saying is true and legitimate and verifiable, the fact that you're selling products based on this is a conflict of interest and listeners should keep this in mind.
