Assalamu Alaykum to everyone can someone ask to the ustath that can we do calligraphy and hang up at walls the verses of Qur'an for the intention of reminder of Qur'an ...i don't now English so sorry for that ...and may Allah forgive me if I wrote mistakes about deen in this question...

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. It’s debated among scholars whether calligraphy of Quranic verses is permissible, because the words of Allah SWT should not be used for decoration, but rather to recite and remind ourselves of the teachings of Allah and his messenger (SAW), and implement them into our lives. It could be disliked or even haram (though the Quran or hadiths don’t seem to explicitly state this, because it’s not something that people at the time of the prophet SAW did). If you really do use calligraphy to serve as a reminder, some say that it’s permissible. If you choose to do so however, make sure that you place it somewhere where it’ll be respected (away from a TV, and ensure it doesn’t fall to the ground, etc.) May Allah bless you.
