Last week my girlfriend was having a tough day at work and started to cry. The next day her boss gave her flowers. No one has ever given me flowers. I don't get to cry at work. Women have stronger safety nets when things get difficult. This lowers stress which lengthens their life expectancy.

Im just here to comment what I gathered to give someinfo to anyone who is reading this, I am not asking for hate this is just something I want to comment. 1. No one is a woman or a man, we're all humans. 2. Do you really think peoples gender are the cause of their death? No. It's all the society to blame. How? Find the answer yourself, and if you want to be smart, don't just take or believe in anyone, including the society, think by yourself. Reminder:The society are all humans.

My late husband, who was a medical practitioner, once said that it's mainly due to the female hormone, oestrogen, that helps women to live longer. Also, he said that it's not about levels, but more about sensitivity. Furthermore, he reckoned that women who've had more children tend to fair better due to the surge of hormones, including prostaglandin, during pregnancy. I'm not sure though. Teenagers can cause a lot of stress at times ;-)

My thoughts on this was that men have more muscle mass. Bigger muscles require more oxygen, therefore more blood, which puts more strain on the heart. This would also explain why women love cardio, and leg day, but men absolutely hate it. Another thing is, that because women are less disposable, they have evolved to play it safe, while men needed to provide and were more desposable, they evolved to take risks. This is still true, men choose riskier fields of work, which leads to a more stressful life.

Risk=deaths, the more males die the more competition will decrease, so women can choose the best male to get married imagine 100 men are working in a coal mine 90 died because of landslide or some disaster, 10 left alive, after some time 5 died, 5 left so the competition is splitting the probability of these 5 man to become rich is 20% each so women now can sit back and relax and watch them competing for the supremacy now and the last man standing or the last men standing is the righteous person to get his offspring/bloodline but in any case how would a man will ever know a that his wife can give birth she could also be a barren.

Yeah, here in the UK, better social care is definitely true. Females are significantly more likely to have access to social housing if they face homelessness while men (particularly single men) are generally told to bugger off. To be fair, women are often caring for a child though so I guess that's partially why they take priority some of the time...

+Rock O'Dile Oh no, I agree completely. My half-brother is a single father (and does a damn good job). It just tends to be more likely that women have child custody than men. I don't necessarily agree with that either though - it's just the way the court system seems to work here. I've seen instances where the woman obtains custody of the child(ren) despite clearly being less suitable than the other parent. My brother is the exception rather than the rule.

Generally, the bigger you are (regardless if it's more height, muscle mass and/or fat) the shorter your life is. To put it another way the bigger your body the more stress on your cardiovascular system. Men are on average bigger so it follows that they'll live a bit shorter. Add the more strenuous work and the attitude to regular medical checks and it's pretty much a done deal.

Stress is linked to lower health and as a consequence shorter lives, and men generally have much more stressful lives than women (I am speaking for the Western world here). Not only that, but men, evolutionarily speaking, are the 'innovators', so they need to be recycled quicker and need to take more risks (the secondary statement was talked about in this video).

Men expect their women to cook for them especially if they have jobs that give them uncertain hours of work. For example, working in professional truck driving, sometimes you have to get up at 4AM to work until 7PM if everything goes right, it will happen that sometimes you come home after midnight. With this, when you arrive home, you would expect food on the table for your hard work, which is more than understandable and is the case for many men, not just in professional driving.

Because men used to work harder than women did. Only look 50 - 60 years back, and many women were still at home doing the laundry, making food etc. whilst that might sometimes seem like a hard job, it was no way as hard on the body as it was for men working on factories, men dragging heavy stuff, men going to war etc. Lately the gap between the ages has become smaller though, because now - 60 years or so, women began to enter the job market.

Recent German actuary studies showed that there is no biological significant difference in life expectancies of men and women. It all comes down to live style, harder physical work, more work, more risk, unhealthier living so basically society.

So women don't live longer but men die earlier.

I think it also comes to work, men are more likely to work more intensive hard labor in much rougher conditions, also severe stress levels, hence why men is more likely to have hypertension, heart disease, suffer strokes and is more likely to succumb to these, men are also more susceptible to sickness, this could be due to our hormones, we all heard the common phrase that men are like babies when sick, which in most cases is true, we tend to be much weaker when hit with something such as the flu, and also lifestyle, stress leads to a lot of other things, hence why men are more likely to be alcoholics, more likely to smoke and more likely to commit suicide, the female body and female brain can handle much more physical and mental stress than a male, and that's due to hormones and the female body being built to carry offspring, there's also societal factors such as war, even in our modern world, if war breaks out, men are more likely to fight it. And men just tend to lead harder more extreme lives,

in many places around the world, Women are cooking with energy coming from cool. being exposed to CO caused a drop in their life expectancy. maybe as men are usually assigned to worse working conditions in their careers. the life expectancy is going down.

I think one of the ideas is that most work spaces have been male dominated (usually more sitting around) and women were(or are, depends on where you are from) expected to take care of household matters(such as cooking, the general upkeep of the house, taking care of children etc.), they tend(ed) to move around a lot more i.e they are more physically active than men, which does add more years to their life.

I think you missed the fact that our early death isn't for nothing. It's only about increasing men's life span in basic biological ways. This 'culture' of men getting themselves killed is a necessity. Obviously there are dangerous jobs. There is also an unstoppable curiosity. A desire to experience new things. There's an instinct to protect. There's an instinct to improve. All of this comes at lower cost to humanity because the risk taking is so common. We die because it worth dying. We die because many others will die if we don't. We die because there's more to life than life itself. EDIT: I'm not arguing this is the only reason men die or that all men take risks and shit. I'm saying that they go together. The more we take risks, the more society benefits from our other instincts and desires. Culturally influencing us to stop taking risks would effect society in many negative ways.

I think, people who dont work much throughout their entire life live a longer life than those who do, besides that i think walking daily may also increases lifespan. For eg. All of the elders in my family lived a peaceful life, without having the need to go to work everyday for a living (at some point ,maybe, but afterwards very very less) and i can proudly say that they all have lived a long life (thanks to a source of passive income our ancestors created hundreds of years ago). Also, maybe because we are a part of a royal family, i think it gives more strength to my statement. My great grandmother lived to see 102 years. My grandfather had black hair naturally even in his 80s, and could go out of house all on his own to cover long distance in buses, even senior citizens would give up their seats for him sometimes though he was okay standing for as long as was needed, and they would ask about his age, when he used to say 85, people would just not believe it. Also, my grandfather's elder brother once came to our house on his own two feet at the age of 95. I think i've said enough lads, have a good day👍

Other factors: Greater chance of premature death of males through much higher rates of suicide and death in combat or industrial accidents. Also, healthcare investment has gone more towards issues that affect women- funding for breast cancer almost 3x that for prostate, risk of death only 1.3x greater
