I was a HUGE iilluminaughtii fan and constantly marveled at how she was able to put together such well produced scripts and videos. I also noticed how she had a tendency to be condescending at times. I never looked into the integrity of any of her videos, and probably never would have, she had the easiest job in the world. and she blew it. I immediately unsubscribed and was simply blown away at how I had no clue, and never woulda guessed. Just a reminder we don't know these people, all we see is the image they carefully control and curate, and no matter what we truly do not know what folks are like off camera.

Years ago I used to watch James Charles and Coleen Ballingers channels. These content creators make an image of what they want people to perceive them to be. Majority of the time it's not even close to the real person. Some of them are so manipulative that even after the truth comes out, they still have fans. I'll never call myself a fan of a youtuber. I just say I enjoy their videos because we will never know the real person.

as a victim of similar abuse I was more than happy to contribute. Blaire always rubbed me the wrong way and I think it was exactly because her mannerisms set off my trauma red flags. I also noticed the blaring (pun intended hehe) issues in her video essays. I knew she was very lazy and sloppy with writing and I didn’t understand her massive following… but never knew the extent.

her video on herself was iconic. i'd never seen anyone incriminate themselves more by trying to defend themselves. I was a semi fan of her: not subscribed but would watch interesting ones, and i had no idea about any of these other people involved in all the drama surrounding her, so i knew nothing about any of this until she made the video exposing herself, and i was immediately shocked because i couldn't believe how much of a horrible person she was actually admitting to being. it might have well have been titled, "i admit that i like people to feel indebted to me."

It gets worse because in the video she incriminates herself partly and validated wonders accout of the really malicious thing she did when he tried to end himself. That being she lied to the police that she feared for her her life and that she feared that wonder would come after her despite having his suicide note, living states away and stealing his vehicle. She completely incriminated herself about her attempted death by cop.

To contest they signed under duress Oz would have to prove there was coercion, and that’s very hard to do without any tangible proof. Blair and the lawyer will just say Oz was offered legal representation but Oz rejected it. And they were in a relationship so Blair can argue this all just petty revenge. Btw this is why in some places signing agreements require witnesses and/or a notary approval.

Definitely take a look into what she did to The click, One Topic at a Time, and Hi I'm Wonder (Wonderstruck Guy). It was a huge thing, she used Oz to turn against his friends and also manipulated Wonder financially, she left him living in a car in a state where he did not know anyone. She is a monster, truly an evil person who manipulates anyone she can.

Even if you just look at the videos she makes she deserves to lose her platform - she doesn't do her own research at all, she just steals other peoples research and scripts and passes it off as her own work. What reason do people have to write stuff if people like her can come along, read it in a KZfaq video and make more money from it than the writer ever did, all without the writer ever seeing a cut of that profit the video makes. We need to get rid of people like her before the people that actually do the work stop doing it because they aren't getting paid.

I have found catharsis seeing Illuminaughtii/blaire have her lies refuted, her abuse of former friends/lovers called out and seeing her victims get support and being able to heal. In a lot of cases these kinds of abuse never see the light of day so I think for a lot of people who have been denied this same closure in their own lives, getting to see some kind of justice is just nice. Also she failed to steal Oz's house this year. Which is great but I have no doubt she will redouble her efforts in the future. It's been made very clear that she will not change and will not stop attacking people until she runs out of money to do so.

Not always I’d say. In my job there are plenty of couples but we have guidelines. For example, my boyfriend is technically my boss (we were in the same position when we met) but he isn’t MY boss. He’s higher on the food chain but he’s not allowed to be my boss. Can’t watch over me, approve my send outs, or even be in my section. But that’s the general rule for couples there, also family members

@@Horror_culture- If you don’t have to answer to your boyfriend, and if your boyfriend has no say over your employment, pay, etc, then your example isn’t that of a boss dating their employee. Thats just two coworkers dating, which is completely different. I can’t speak for every workplace, but generally speaking, being in a higher position doesn’t inherently mean he’s your boss, even in the technical sense. Especially if he’s in a different department or wing of the company.

In fact, those two videos they did on that church were among the first few videos that I was able to watch, once I was ready to start watching them, and started peeling back the veil, so to speak, on what skeletons the church was hiding in its closet. I had already had respect for her, which is part of what helped get me ready to watch them, and those videos only solidified that respect. So I was so disappointed and saddened when all this came out. Why, Blair, why?

sorry its really ironic you mentioning hbomberguy's video without crediting him when he just dropped a 4hr video that heavily talks about her (and other people) and mentions how this one video he did just to make a point got out of the circle and its being reused without credit. Seeing this stuff going full circle is just funny BTW he also did a deep dive on the whole anti-vaxx scandal and goes on to talk about fudenberg in it, rightly recommend it since you said you wanted to know more.
