GERMANY already knew sweden bought the tank but would NOT even be close to the original way. Sweden is known to take in stuff, put them in side out take everything that is'nt working for sweden and put in superior systems and other things sooo. yes the Strv 122/ Strv 122 PLSS is an upgraded superior tank then the german leopard. I don't really consider that to be the biggest issue with the Viggens, for me its their completely incorrect top speed and acceleration. The JA37 variants with the RM-8B engines are missing over 1000kgf of thrust and 300kph faster top speed due to gaijins miscalculation. And for the AJ variants, the AJ37 has incorrect thrust but the new AJS37 has the correct thrust even though they both share the same engine. The shame with the Sherman, panzer IV and T-34 line up is none of the tanks are actually Swedish. But that’s the line up I use to do the Swedish events bar the Sherman. I might get the Swedish Sherman when it comes up on sale just so I can have a Sherman for ever nation. The removal of the SAV 20.12.48 has got to be another indication that the snail hates Sweden, that thing helped me get to rank 3.

Finland should not be in war thunder

The 11.7 lineup is even more stupid lmao I have been called many many heretical things, mostly by Russian players who aren’t used to being absolutely assblasted by the best leopard in game with better survivability than Zeus on cocaine, better firepower than a twitch streamer with aimbot and the lineup fortitude of Jesus, as once your first best tank in the game is destroyed you can immediately bring out the exact same fucking tank again… just a bit sooner than 3 days later

Swedish planes from rank 4 to rank 7 lost me enough SL to buy 6 or 7 top tier vehicles, and even after repair costs got reduced a bit, there are still games where I lose 1000s of SL. Take J34 (Swedish Hunter) for an example, it's at 9.0 where as G 91s are at 8.7, have better flight performance in almost all aspects and carry 2x more missiles. That same J34 can face R-60M (Su25), 9L (A-10), 9J (German Hunter), 9E (F-4C), 7D (F-4C), R-3R (Mig21) and R-60 (Yak38), all without flares or chaff.

Part of it of course is that Sweden in the real world has had either very odd experimental stuff that may work or may not work. And experimental here do not mean it did not become wildly adopted (even if Sweden also have a lot of stuff that never became wildly adopted). But stuff that do go against conventional ideas. Often very niche stuff like the STRV-103 which was made specifically for a type of war that Sweden expected to fight. And when Sweden did not do that, then Sweden often did just buy from a tank from another nation. If you're following the standard meta (or rather, as it called in military terms, standard doctrine) why develop your own platform when there all ready something well develop from some other nation? Of course, Sweden tend to modify those tanks, making them unique from the standard. So part of it is that the nation did not follow the same sort of doctrine as most western block nations, or most eastern block nations. But made its own path. And that has a lot to do with it natural status, combined with being a rather small country. Therefore, having a limited amount of resource to spend on its defence. Though during the Cold War Sweden had the 4th largest air force in the world. So despite it size, it punched well above it weight class. Of course, with the inclusion of sub-nations, Sweden can be fleshed out a bit more. But this will likely just mean we will see more tanks from other nations, bigger nations. Since nations like Finland did adopt weapons from either east or west rather than developing their own. This would be even more the case with Norway and Denmark if they get the same treatment since unlike Sweden and Finland, these nations were not neutral but part of NATO. There is also a possibility that one would add other neutral European countries to Sweden. But I am pretty sure that we will see a more Nordic/Scandinavian bend be the key theme. Maybe later on adding the Baltic States, but the Baltic States were a part of the USSR for a very long time, and they later adopted a more NATO standard. So I do not know. Sweden is the country that has the most unique military in the area, and that is part of the draw. With Finland, I would say coming after. And of course what makes Sweden unique is also why it breaks with standard doctrine. It is both what gets people interested in Sweden, and what holds it back.

Most all of Swedish tanks have some quirks which are imperative to learn to work around, example being the Pvkv 4's turret traverse, but once you learn how to compensate properly for it Swedish vehicles can be an extremely formidable foe. Coming back around to the Pvkv 4 analogy, once you understand how to play it you can use it to its full potential with its sabot and aphe, moreover this goes for most "bad " tanks not in the sense that you can use its sabot and aphe, seeing as not all tanks get those shells let alone both of them, but that once you know how to play you should preform pretty well. In regards to the BS tanks, they are just blatantly OP 🤣. And finally I would certainly say with confidence that that Sweden is the largest nation, minus the big three (duh), in the game. What is mean by this is that Sweden is the largest "minor" nation.

IMO Sweden is the best nation in the game ( my opinion), but indisputably it has the best top tier of any nation in the game. And being that Sweden is a minor (drake be licking his lips rn) nation that often means that it comes with more experienced players.

A Latvian subtree would be amazing to see in war thunder, but I cant find enough tanks for it to be likely yet i did still find some contenders! they go as following: - Vickers 4-ton light tanks (similar to the mk. e found in the swedish tree) - T-55AM2 - BRDM-2 - CVR(T) Keep in mind that these vehicles, if added, would likely not go to the Swedish tree but rather the Soviet or even German tree 😔

Not to mention how some of them are literally just filler that don’t have any other vehicle say it’s BR in the tree (like the Charioteer)

but the T55m’s apfsds penetration better than Russia or the Chinese one, it even looks cool because of the stock camo.

@@jspeneThe Charioteer is 6.3, which is the exact same as the Pbv 501? Even while only having one tank at the same BR it fits perfectly fine in a 6.7 lineup.

The Swedish 5.7 lineup is perfectly fine in my opinion, its one of the best that i've played at the very least. But let's talk tanks, You really can't complain about the T-34-85, the PT-76, A21A-3 (CCRP pog), or the Lvkv 42. So where I believe you are finding difficulties is it the Comet 1, Strv m/42 DT, and maybe the Strv 74. So I'm going to try and help you with these tanks. In regards to the Comet 1 you must always understand that you have almost no armor and no mobility, minus the neural steering which is epik, while all of these are very bad you do get sabot (yippe!). It is quite important to keep this in consideration at all times when playing this tank, what i usually do is either snipe or ambush if ever possible. With the Strv m/42 Delat Torn it will greatly help to understand your tank, with middle of the road mobility, zero armor, and a 3.2 second auto loader the Delat Torn is an extremely unique tank. Anything that hits you should rightfully one-shot you as you have the hull of a 2.7 tank and your turret armor reflects that. it is also most important to keep in mind you will out reload any tank you face on the battlefield, so it is extremely optimal to instate ambush tactics as it will be extremely effective with your aphe. And lastly with the Strv 74 it is ideal to avoid playing lt, but if you must it is best to exploit its possession of scouting capabilities because every other feature of this tank is quite suboptimal. With a extremely bad turning radius, crap armor (same hull as the Delat Torn), very high and thin profile, and horrible mobility it is a shock that I see it in games still. Its only good features don't come close to redeeming enough, them being having -15° of depression, having an okay aphe shell, and having a 7.7 roof mg (unheard of in the Swedish TT). i have found the only way to have a half decent time is it hide like a coward behind a hill just scouting things until you have the SP for a plane. TL;DR: leverage your strengths in each tank

true, but there is vehicles that is over battlerated. like lvkv9040c. 10.0 anti air. slow prox shells. low lock range. 24 mag. slow reload. every other anti airs are just better at 10.0.

While it performs well at certain BRs, it has huge gaps, entire br ranges which rely on a broken mechanic, and an awful low tier grind

Well... France, Italy and Japan also had a lot stuff. So even if you claim is true, which I am not sure it is, and I am to lazy to check, it not that odd. At least if you want to bring them up to parity with at least the other minor nations. Of course, in the end, nations like France and Japan will likely have more stuff. Though with sub-nations being added this change things a bit. But even so France should have a lot of unique stuff comming to it.

That would be dumb since all Nordic nations apart from Sweden buys their military vehicles from USA. If a nation doesn’t have unique and new vehicles it won’t be added. I do think Denmark and Norway should be added just like they did with Finland tho.

Thats your fault then for playing arcade. Sweden is an rb orientated tech tree (super low br thermals and laser rangefinder) and has no armor, which is what you need to play arcade.

That's the beauty of picking your own path and sticking to it - something that Gaijin clearly doesn't understand considering their focus on USA, USSR and Germany.

Impossible to kill frontally without getting lucky or using HESH (yes I know you can get the transmission and then flank but they are usually sitting at the back of the map, not to mention the one crew member operation ability) and most players cover themselves in bushes to show off they have no respect for themselves or others.

How? The both strv 42s are extremely good for their br, and the dt goes into downtiers very often. Also the l62.... getting 10+ kills at 2.3 Sweden is pretty common

I didn't know saffering until I got to 2.7 and had to grind for the sabot rounds for those tanks, holy fuck that was awful, they ended up being pretty good after though

I think one of the finnish T-72 finmods would have been more interesting and better for a squad tank. Also the Mi-28A for sweden is a joke. To mu knowledge it never entered in to sweden for testing. They literally just looked at it and a swedish test pilot sat in the gunner seat and this was enough for gaijin to add it for sweden as an attack helicopter. Dont add the leclerc and m1 abrams because that would be retarded and idiotic and there is no point. Swede mains and seethe and cope.
