For real, it's a decent item, but a disappointing (and pretty obvious) replacement for an almost identical item, and is the only "new" item that came amid a pretty significant cut to the menu.

He has a radio show on short wave radio (as well as other platforms). He has a video on why he wears old suits every day (and we mean every day). He is not a put on. He is legitimately just a Mr. Rogers for adults and has a great video on what to do when you are feeling down. Lastly, people here are very protective of him.

And HOW does taking potatoes off the menu equal a good business decision...potatoes are as cheap a food as you can get. They could spend dollars and make thousands. AND give people what they want.

You know what's simultaneously a silver lining but also an insult ten times more painful is that they still serve the potatoes, but ONLY during breakfast hours!! They still make and sell potatoes in the morning!! If you re-add an item that you added potatoes to online you can order it in the morning! They didn't even cut costs or something they just entirely removed the potatoes for most of the day! It's so fucking insane.

@Carrboro Bear yeah it totally varies per location. The taco bell here in my town must have great management because the food is always of good quality and thingd are stuffed full. Sadly not every location has that good of staff.

Also small rant I'm sure other places are too but the amount of times ive been stuck with only 1 or 2 crew during lunch or dinner we are terribly understaffed just thank god we have a crew of people that catch each others mistakes before they happen most of the time at least

I was crazy excited for the nacho box and it was disgusting. My husband used love tacobell and we ate there a lot but the food has been so sloppy and gross we stopped going there. Its too bad because they used to be so good.

It has creamy jalapeno sauce instead of fritos. Trust me, the sauce helps it not suck a whole lot. I usually always used the old frito burrito as a base to add pico and onions and 3 cheese to it, this new one is no different. Goes pretty great with jalapeños too.

To see such a naive, innocent burrito filled with hopes and dreams only to be dashed by cold, cynical consumers. Daniel Gilliam While I understand your statement about being too much starch, especially because it’s not like the Fritos added any flavor. But the crunchy texture was a welcome addition to the burrito. To each their own, but it is objectively the same product but instead of Fritos there is a jalapeño sauce (which for the same price you can just ask for the Fritos off and the sauce added. But it charges you 30 cents to add the Fritos) making it a worse value. But both items are already really good value, because $1 wouldn’t get you anything nearly as filling or as tasty as either product.

Diehard Christmas Movie You make a good point, I suppose it matters on how fresh the burrito was. If they have been sitting for 10 minutes or so, you’re right the Fritos would be soggy. It would depend on the Taco Bell location near you if it would be better or not. For me, it was rarely soggy as I would usually eat right after getting it and I don’t believe it was ordered often so they had to make it fresh; thus mine were usually not soggy. But if they were, I agree with you the burrito would be significantly worse. Thank you for being so civil in your response.

In my location, the tostada, beef/ chicken roll ups ("Taquitos"), Enchirito, Taco Salad, etc are G-O-N-E!!!!! Likely never to return. P*sses me off royally. It's like there is some kind of FOOD NAZI group who dictates what we can/ cannot have these days!!!!! And the best of the best (or should I say "favorite of the favorites") gradually are disappearing. And it's not just Taco Bell.

The green sauce was delicious. I used to work there as a manager in the late 90s, and I had pretty much tried every combo of ingredients possible. The best green sauce combo was a burrito with beef, green sauce, sour cream, onions, and cheese. Simple, but so tasty.

You do realize, don't you, that the only difference is that the Fritos were removed and a Jalapeno sauce was added? Still contains ground beef, rice and nacho cheese sauce. Don't care for the flavor of the jalapeno sauce? Order it without. Miss the Fritos (which you couldn't necessarily TASTE anyway and tended to get soggy quickly)? Add the little red tortilla strips for a small charge.

@@brenspin you dont understand us beefy frito loyalists, its not the same not only content wise, but value wise. theres little excuse over it, especially with the huge demand for fast food. No shit i live around the 420th TB location and the drive thru at night is horrendous, but eating 2-3 of those for a dollar, it makes me hungry just thinking about it. Have you ever had something really rad just get replaced into something thats inferior to you? Sunkist solar fusion, steak flatbread (from taco bell no suprise), mtn dew "game fuel," radical food/drink products that shouldnt have went away, but did one way or another. Its dissapointing! arguably, taco bell does it the most with dozens of nonexistant taco bell items. I never tried the taco burger, but if theres a facebook group dedicated towards that one item, then it has to be delicious. What im getting at is itll not be the same, and idk if you understand that or not

hey folks, for those of you that are disappointed about potatoes being gone from the lunch menu, i understand. i'm a manager at a taco bell and i was so surprised to hear that they were getting rid of all of the lunch-time potato items. BUT they're not gone from breakfast! if your local taco bell serves breakfast take a look at the menu online to see what comes in the breakfast burritos. there may be a way to still create the cheesy potato griller for a cheaper price from the breakfast menu...

The Taco Bell app is a dumpster fire. I tried to go on there to find out about this item and it gives an API error & won't show the menu. It's always something with that app.
