Let's start with the disassembly process. We will use the heat gun to lift the screen. Applies 90°C for 4 minutes. Then use a super fine metal pick, a plastic letter and other Dunlop brand plastic picks to carefully and slowly open the screen.
Remove the plastic connector and lift the connector out of the display. Then, remove all the middle case screws with the 1.8mm Phillips screwdriver. Also remove the SIM tray. Separate the middle case from the back cover with a plastic pick.
Now, connect a lab source to the device's battery using the Power Z. Use a metal clip to press the power button for less than half a second. Then press the power button for more than one second to turn on the device. Use the Power Z software to check consumption. If the consumption is normal, then the device is fine. If the consumption is high, look for a leak with a thermal camera or with the rosin technique.
Finally, remove the broken charging connector using a JBC heat station at 400°C and 60% air. Apply some flux and tin paste to clean up the old tin. Use the tip of the soldering iron at 350°C and a desoldering mesh to clean the tracks. Then, remove the burned flux with isopropyl alcohol or contact cleaner.
Solder the charging connector with tin paste, lowering the temperature to 300°C and 40% air. Place the charging connector. To solder the sides, use the thick tip of the 350°C soldering iron and a leaded tin wire.
Finally, mount the device again and check the repair result. If everything is fine, then the device is ready.
We hope this tutorial has helped you learn how to repair a Samsung Galaxy A6.
