I worked for a few years in Qatar (a desert nation in the gulf) at an energy research institute. Had Moroccan friends as well. The one you showed in Morocco plant is a huge solar heat concentrator. Molten salt is heated by the extreme heat created by many focused reflectors at the top of the concentrator tower. Regular Silicon based solar panels convert light energy into electrical energy but at a very low efficirency. Solar panels installed in the desert has one major drawback that is to keep the solar panel surface clean. Eventhough it does not rain much in the desert, there us moisture in the air which varies over the year. The dust deposited on the panel even without a sand storm turn into a hard to clean cement like deposit that blocks the sun light in a matter of few months. Besides it is hard to find water in the desert to thoroughly wash the panels for full rated effiviency. This is a huge and well researched topic all over the world and research continues.

Yes biggest solar power plant is located in india bhadla solar park which have the capacity to produce 2.25GW . But in morocco they have to solar heat concentrator power plant ..

What you are showing is not a solar - electric panels which use photons. They are called parabolic solar reflectors panels which heats up a medium and its heat is used to run a turbine. It’s efficiency is low at hot places.

What you are defining is solar concentrator (solar water heater) and the one you are showing is part solar concentrator and solar PV panel. Both are not same.
