It’s sad how a pizza place is only known for their burgers. The people in the replies are missing out, putting honey on pizza may seem weird but trust me it’s awesome. It’s like putting honey on Chicken nuggets, don’t knock it till you try it.

Recently went to Emily for the first time, the atmosphere was great and super nice fun time but the burger was a little underwhelming. The Mexican Coca Cola and Curly fries were spot on but something about the burger didn’t sit right. Perfect preparation of the patty and the onions were unmatched, but the sauce took over a little bit, and since the sauce was a little too potent it wasn’t very pleasant.

That cheese does not look 1" thick at all. Of course the sauce contributes much, but if the beef was bland and dry, then I am sure people wouldn't like it as much. It is dry aged beef, so that must also be a big factor. And don't forget the caramelized onions.

This restaurant has a cookbook out - so the sauce was only a secret until the cookbook sales launched... AS FOLLOWS: • 1/3 cup of sugar • 1/4 cup unseasoned rice wine vinegar • 1/2 cup gochujang (Korean fermented chili paste) • 4 tbsps unsalted butter • 1 tbsp minced garlic, about 5 cloves • 1 tsp sesame seeds • 1 tsp black sesame seeds 1/2 cup Kewpie mayonnaise You're all welcome.

Nothing special? The ingredients in the sauce we did get to hear are totally flavor forward and very different for a burger. And it is dry aged beef. And they pay 3X-5X the rent. But, to each his own.

Yeah you’re not accounting for ingredients, work, the art, aging plus the resources and transportation to getting the dry aged beef if they don’t do it in house. Ietc etc. so yes It is worth 27$

I have changed the way I make a burger. I just found that grilled onions can make a burger greasy and heavy. I now prefer a thin slice of fresh yellow onion...nice and crisp and doesnt dominate the taste of the burger like caramelized onions do.
