Great research! I own one of these, and most videos on it are quite inaccurate, but you've managed to avoid most of the misinformation, and even included a lot of facts that are pretty well hidden. This particular AZ-1 is from the first half of the production run (it has 6 bolts at the top of the rear panel between the tail lights, instead of the later 2), and it's a Mazdaspeed Version. The Mazdaspeed Version uses the MS bodykit, but the distinctive part is that the area around the headlights is painted matte black (you could buy the bodykit, but most owners just painted it the body colour). I love the turbofans, and they're very similar to the Autopista DFXes on my own car.

I heard from this K-car once before. It is looking like a shrinked Ford RS200. Never seen an AZ-1 by myself. Really a rare sight.
