We where never officially togheter but she just had to leave the country for a year. We talked some on FaceTime but I was cold and she was sad. We ended up not talking for 4 months. After a lot of thinking I realised I want her..We start talking but she moved on to someone else. She says she didn’t think I wanted her and she’s happy with her new dude. Was a lot of drama and fight….I tried to save it but she refused. “ I don’t have feelings anymore but I still care a lot” She says if she come back and is single we could try dating again like before… Any opinions? What’s going on. I feel so shitty wasted a good woman who did everything for me..

I got back in touch with an ex 10 yrs after we went our separate ways. Right off the bat I was sooo excited I guess it scared him or turned him off & after a month he quit responding to me. After 5 months he texted me out of the blue & I thought i would be more excited but I found myself kinda turned off. We made plans to meet which he backed out so I thought...well...that's it...I'm not really interested anymore anyway so I blocked him. Fast forward 5 months on my end & i happened to go in my blocked messages & there were messages from him that mirrored the exact same thing he had done to me those 5 months he quit communicating then came back. I gave him & messaged him. I'm still on the fence if I'm that interested in him. I think about him & he promises to text & that's he's really interested now. I guess I'm trying hard not to get over zealous or my hopes up. I know now my life will go on with or without him. I learned that in the 5 months he ignored me & the 5 months I ignored him.

The thing is this. Most of the relationships are between man and woman, and the third party is definite. What about gay relationship and one part is going for heterosexual relationship. Is it gonna be the same formula?

Definitely. I got my DA ex back like three times over 10 years, but neither of us had any clue about attachment styles. We just thought we were incompatible. I'd ask him to meet my emotional needs; he couldn't/wouldn't. So I would run. And each time we reconcilied we'd inevitably end again. It was a horrible cycle, so unbelievably painful for both of us as we were/are deeply attracted to each other and honestly just really love each other. We convinced ourselves we weren't the right fit. This has resulted in the end of our hopes and dreams of a family and life together. He's now pulled away from me after I tried to get him back, and the difference this time around is that he said he KNOWS he no longer wants to be with me and has no further interest in starting something. I'm completely devastated and full of regret for not understanding attachment styles sooner. If you truly do love each other, and you're thinking of leaving, please try figure it out. It's not worth this pain

Do you have to have the "I don't care if I get them back anymore" feeling or will they come back if you don't have that feeling meaning you still care. You still want them back really bad but you just stop chasing? And what does he mean by letting go?
