The gesso that takes an hour to dry is the goat for us acrylic painters. Oh and I used it on my front door it looks brand new now but it was pricey.

SOLID PRIME? NO CRACKS? IF I USE GESSO ON ANY CLOTH TO PAINT, IT WONT CRACK AFTER WASHING? IT DEPENDS? GESSO CAN BE SANDED TOO? JUST LIKE WOOD FILLER DO YOU HAVE A VIDEO ABOUT HOME MADE INGREDIENTS GESSO? DO I NEED TO MIX SALT TO ENHANCE IT? :)

Gesso is NON flexable so it can crack. You will want a different primer like GAC for golden. YES you can sand gesso and yu can enhance it with other elements like sand.. For that you will have to research.

I have Artist's Loft Level 1 canvases. The description says ".... acrylic gesso primed." Do I need to add another coat of gesso? Bob Ross uses "double primed" canvases; what exactly does that mean?

The Bob Ross "double primed" canvases means a single coating of Gesso was applied, left to dry, the a second coating was applied and left to dry before painting.

They are gessoed BUT sometimes the application isnt the best. If you are a new painter I would add one additional layer of gesso... I think it will help. I think I talk about it here a little more in-depth: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hKyIqJyFtbDedWg.html
