Theory: Gons mother was a woman who lived on the Dark Continent. The same place Alluka’s attached entity is from(or Alluka herself, depending on what you think is accurate) and since we can see these entities either take normal form/ act somewhat normal to those they choose, its very possible Ging did the deed with a woman he met at the dark continent. Maybe the reason its all possible is Don lives there still to this day and there’s actually immortal people who live there. It would explain why Gings been there and survived(I think he went before anyways) and it may explain the theory of Gings time space manipulation, which also helps aid the reason why Gon can transcend time to burst his age and nen power levels to that of a prime adult version of himself. Gon has a little bit of Dark Continent power, which yet again links to possibly understanding why Pitou reacted the way she did to seeing his Nen ability to age and skyrocket his power. The Chimera Ants actually originate from the Dark Continent, so maybe she recognizes this form of power or this type of nen and the way it feels, all leading us back to the idea that Ging and Gon could both possibly have inherited Dark Continent level nen/nen abilities, and that may also be why Ging has yet to tell Gon about his mother. Its also possible that Gons mother turned on Ging (as we saw Nanika do to the butlers, even the ones Alluka would typically enjoy being around) and he fled with Gon back to Whale Island to give him to the family so he’d be safe while Ging continues his journey of exploration. Edit: Nanika is the name of the entity if Im correct

@Plot Armor Gon is not a human in a classical sense. There is a very good theory with so many proves that Ging is the Mother of Gon. He was conceived by Nen and Ging. How? If you read some cards of the Greed Island Game you can see how. For example Card 7 is the so called Pregnancy Stone (if you bear the stone for 1 month with you, you will get pregnent even if you are a male, also you can decide what gender your baby will have based on the fact if you bear the "female" or "male" pregnancy stone). Gon was on Greed island as a baby so it would make sense if Ging used the stone to get pregnent, he got gon who was born on greed island. Gon has much Nen that would explain why. Also there is Card Nr.99 the Panda Maid (This Panda is very good with kids/babies and cares for them), Gon probably give Gon as a Baby to the Panda and after a while to Mito. This would also explain why Gon is so good with animals. We know that Ging is a hustler so if he would have had inpregnated a Woman he probably would never knew that she was pregnant, i cant imagine that Ging would stay by a Woman for 9 months. Why would Ging use this? Well Ging is a curious guy he probably just wanted to test things out. This is just my speculation, but based on what I've seen thus far from the manga, Ging's combat abilities are akin to that of Urameshi but with more finesse. Overall, he is essentially an adult Urameshi with an IQ of 200 minimum.
